Different room to that booked - Nice staff and clean hotel

Having stayed overnight, I reviewed the booking and saw I had reserved a family room for three (one double and two single beds). The room provided had two single beds and a camp bed. It was acceptable, but not what was advertised or what I specifically chose. The double-plus-singles layout was the reason I booked this hotel. I queried this at reception the following morning, but did not receive a clear explanation. After a long journey we didn’t pursue it further, but on reflection the issue wasn’t properly resolved. The booking process appears misleading — either the website misrepresents the room or there was an error at the hotel. As a result, I’m unsure whether future bookings will match what is advertised

Facilities in room are dated, limited information provided about the hotel, services TV etc. Bar worked but staff hat to come from desk to work bar.

Booked a twin bed room for myself and a colleague as we had a long ride over on motorbikes from the uk, Upon checking in we discovered that the twin beds were pushed together and we couldn't separate them - we complained and they offered to move one of us to another room. upon checking out we had to pay for 2 rooms at full cost. rooms not as described !!!

I can’t recommend it enough%!

A true gem of a family owned and run hotel. Spacious comfortable rooms, lobby, bar and breakfast room with outdoor terrace for warm weather. Most attentive hosts who provided excellent personal service, even an impromptu continental breakfast in the bar when I missed the main breakfast. A very short walk to the main town square and the Menin Gate with Remembrance poppies, crosses and other items available for sale to those who visit for that purpose as we did we.

Exceptional Hotel

Our whole stay was excellent from when we arrived to when we left, the hotel is run with passion to provide a welcoming experience from the moment you walk through the door, one a cleanest hotels we have stayed in, there is secure parking for cars and indoor parking for motorcycles if required. We would not look for anywhere else to stay in the Ypres region.

Practical & Great Location

This was a typical hotel stay as compared to a boutique or B&B. Staff were very nice, breakfast was very good. Great location just around the corner form the main square and the Menin Gate.

The location of the windows across from other rooms and a main hallway (U-shaped building) mean we had to keep the blinds and windows closed all the time which made it very stuffy in the room. Also the lights from the hallway outside our window were on all night so it was bright, again having to have the blinds and windows closed (suggest you turn those off at night or on a motion sensor).

Fantastic location, meeting all our expectations

Albion Hotel in Ieper completely met our expectations and can say it exceeded. Friendly and helpful staff, great bed, good size rooms and really well located - close to the center but far enough away not to have any noise. Very clean and tidy, and well appointed. Car parking was a real bonus.

If the hotel was full, I would postpone my visit to Ypres...!!

I have stayed at the Albion previously and could not wait to return, for a number of reasons, I suppose the most important is that the staff could not be more friendly or helpful or efficient. The room was, for me, perfect---comfortable, well-appointed and peaceful. The breakfast was a meal to be looked forward to : the parking was on the doorstep; the hotel is in an ideal position in Ypres. I am actually planning my next visit to the Albion already...!!

Excellent location, great for cyclists

Great location close to the central square & Menin Gate. Large and safe storage for several bicycles. The interior of the hotel is spacious and stylish. Breakfast was excellent and the hotel was spotlessly clean.

We couldn’t open the velux window in one of the bedrooms and despite informing reception on arrival, it wasn’t fixed. There was no blind on the window either and the air con could not be controlled from the room.
