Fantastic stay

The accommodation is right on the WW1 battlefields and within a 10 minute walk of a museum, the Yorkshire Trench and cemeteries. It is very family friendly with a great kitchen / communal area. The breakfast was superb. The owner is very friendly and informative regarding the area.

The BEST B&B Don’t miss out

I was amazed by this accommodation. Firstly the room. We had the room with the high veranda overlooking the fields. The room was huge. A lovely comfortable bed. A table with some easy chairs with two further chairs on the opposite side of the room. There was a coffee making machine with water and tea could be made in the kitchen. The bathroom with a shower was big too with shampoo and towels. Leaflets were available to read as well. You had full use of the kitchen which had a seating area to sit and relax if you wanted to use it. The breakfast was the best I had ever had in a B&B. Fresh fruit cut up in a dish. Yogurt in the fridge. Teas and coffee fresh orange juice. Granola type seeds with milk (yum yum). Many bread rolls (different types) with cheeses and meats. We made rolls for lunch. There were also chocolate bars. An excellent delight. Fantastic hosts and beautiful setting with animals to see. Also outside seating available. As we were due to leave early a take away breakfast was prepared and was a delight. Very close to Ypres a quick 2 miles and your there.

This accommodation package really brought the 'feel-good factor' to our stay. Great breakfast, which even stretched to a picnic lunch for us. Open, natural, tranquil location in easy reach of Ypres. We'll be back!

Sparklingly clean and fresh with quality fittings. We felt really safe and secure in the superb tastefully decorated surroundings. Outside the rooms there is a highly pleasing sitting area and kitchen area with all the utilities and utensils. Beautiful farm animals to be seen around the property. The breakfast was delicious with nice crispy rolls and croissants etc. Katja, the host was lovely, welcoming and made us feel special. She was so helpful speaking perfect English and a has a thorough knowledge of the local geography and sights to see. She is unflappable and helped straight away when we tried to add water to the coffee machine incorrectly. It was a delightful experience and have no hesitation in highly recommending B&B Back2Front. Nothing to add here as it was perfect. If I have to add something, it would be nice to have a small ledge inside the shower area to put soap or shampoo on to free up both hands, but that is such a small point it may be pedantic, as people younger and fitter than us would just lay them on the floor and bend up and down to use the bottle or soap.

Nice location, ideal to explore the city and surrounding areas of Ieper

I travelled for work and was happy to stay in B&B Back2Front. The location is located in a quiet area and pretty close to the city center of Ieper. Even though I was there for business, I managed to attend the 'Last Post' at the Menenpoort, which is really something I would advice to go and have that unique experience. The room was superb, the breakfast was top notch, full of choice and I even got to take some leftover buns to work as a lunch. I had a great stay!

Quality accomodation and a friendly atmosphere!

The room and bathroom is spacious, modern and very clean with the added bonus of a very good bed and spacious terras. The breakfast is so good, we generally had enough to last us the whole day! Katja is a very friendly host, always ready to help. What is an extra bonus is the access to a fully equipped shared kitchen, so you can cook your own meals if you want to.

There is nothing about the B&B not to like. The position is quiet but you do need transport, bike or car to get around . And you have to allow for the occasional farm smell.

Het is een B&B die mooi gelegen is op de fietsknooppunten, maar een 5 tal km van Ieper centrum. De ontvangst was super vriendelijk en s' avonds stond onze gereserveerde teppanyaki klaar (we konden eten wanneer het ons uitkwam : een praktisch systeem) , het was super lekker en meer dan genoeg! Ook het ontbijt was veel en lekker, je komt er niets tekort. Mooie kamer (boven) met een terras met een prachtig uitzicht. Vriendelijke mensen . Een dikke pluim!

Goede B&B dichtbij Instappunt Noord

Op 2 en 3 september hier gelogeerd als tussenstop tijdens The Western Front Way (etappe 2: Diksmuide - Boezinge). De B&B ligt op een rustige hoeve tussen de velden. Hoewel er in het westen een industrieterrein ligt, merk je daar niets van. De aankomst verliep vlot: de sleutel lag klaar op de afgesproken plaats, waardoor ik op mijn eigen tempo kon inchecken, erg handig, want een exact aankomstuur is moeilijk te voorspellen tijdens het wandelen. Ik verbleef in de kamer met de oker deur op het gelijkvloers. De inrichting was modern en netjes onderhouden. Wat me vooral bijbleef was de minibar op de kamer, ideaal wanneer je met een rugzak reist en die licht wil houden. Ook de prijszetting was zeker correct. Het ontbijt werd geserveerd in de gemeenschappelijke ruimte met grote ramen en een prachtig uitzicht op de velden en de Schotse hooglanders in de tuin. Het ontbijt zelf was uitstekend en stond op het afgesproken uur klaar. Een perfecte start van de dag en een stevige basis om de wandeling verder te zetten.

Zeer goede B&B voor een zeer aantrekkelijke prijs.

Zeer goede B&B voor een zeer aantrekkelijke prijs. De B&B is zeer rustig gelegen en s’nachts hoort men niets. Normaal kunnen we slechts inchecken vanaf 16:00, maar iets na 13:00 kregen we al, zonder dat we het gevraagd hadden, een seintje via WhatsApp, dat de kamer al klaar was. Eens binnen en kennis gemaakt met de gastvrouw Katja, voel je je direct op je gemak en een beetje thuis. Praktisch alles is aanwezig (wat normaal zou moeten voorzien zijn) en mochten er “afwijkende” wensen zijn, mochten we dit altijd vragen. De kamers en badkamers zijn goed voorzien en het bed is zeer goed. Er is geen ontbijtbuffet, maar wat men krijgt is gevarieerd en kwalitatief (ook kaas en charcuterie) en meer dan ruim voldoende; overschotten kunnen, in een klaarliggend zakje, meegenomen worden. Ik had de indruk dat de B&B voornamelijk bezocht werden door fietsers die de streek en Ieper willen verkennen. Koffie en thee zijn altijd gratis en beschikbaar. Er is ook een afgesloten fietshok met de mogelijkheid om E-bikes op te laden. 4 dagen om Ieper en de streek te ontdekken is te weinig. Als het past, komen we zeker terug.
