Spur of the moment booking, one that we didn’t regret.

Clean and tidy room with separate toilet and bathroom, bringing history into the hotel. The staff were so friendly and welcoming.

Fabulous stop over for us. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room and bed were very comfortable. Bar is lovely and the food in the restaurant is of a very high standard - we will definitely stay again.

Bar man/receptionist/breakfast waiter, the guy seemed to do everything, can't remember his name. (Spiked hair) was exceptional! Made us all feel at home, very helpful and good laugh.

The only thing you could do to make the stay better was provided free beer haha No complaints very happy customers

The best hotel out of the 9 from our European vacation

Parking was plentiful right outside the front door of the hotel. Easy to get the car in and out, to the main road. The reception area was very welcoming and the staff were really lovely. Our room was big and had an adequately sized shower room. There was a separate hallway from the front door of our room into the bedroom. This area was fantastic for putting clothes, shoes, and bags. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were good. Plenty of lighting in all areas. A fridge and TV were also in the room. And a kettle with a choice of tea and coffee... hooray! The breakfast was brilliant with a very good choice of hot and cold foods. And a lovely selection of naughty treats!! The bar area was good and had a good choice of drinks. We drove to the centre of Ypres on both nights and had excellent food in 2 of the local restaurants. There is a restaurant in the hotel, which I'm sure is very good.

Clean & good facilities - walking distance from town for the Menin Gate event at 8pm.

Car parking wasn’t marked out and some cars were badly parked.

Basic hotel with large family rooms. Near Ypres which is a beautiful town

Large room, plenty of space in the room for us including babybed. Also there was enough space to park with a small trailer behind the car.

Very warm inside the room even with aircon. The hotel is in an industrial area. The building is basic, a bit worn in some places.

The hotel was clean and the breakfast excellent with a lot of choice. It also has air conditioning which was important as the temperature was unusually high during our stay. We would stay there again

Mile walk to Ypres but a shame the authorities did not feel a footpath was appropriate through the retail area. Obviously no fault of the hotel but does mean the walk into town would not be for everyone.

Very welcoming staff who were most helpful. The rooms were clean and well equipped with plenty of storage. The bed was large and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Plenty of choice and quantity. Their scrambled eggs and bacon were fantastic.

The property is sited on an industrial estate, however most large lodges of this type in Europe are.

Would i go again... YES

The room was excellent, spacious, excellent bathroom, tea n coffee in room. Small fridge, plenty of space for hanging an storing gear. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice. The bar was good and very reasonably priced beer. Would i stay there again.... yes, but i now know what rom to request and know to take cash to pay.

The card machine was not working - to pay we were expected to go to Ypres town centre and find a cash machine! fortunately we scraped enough together to pay. Strange seeing as the card was on file from the booking? Noise.... door slamming by other guests and the hallway was laminate.. great... suitcases being rolled up an down the corridor.

Lovely stay and well recommended.

Very reasonable price for what is effectively a lodge hotel. Staff were all super friendly, particularly the rather mad receptionist, waiter, barman with the beard who was great fun. Room basic but clean and comfortable. Bathroom good with nice shower. Breakfast very good - probably the best we have had in France - buffet style with scrambled egg, bacon, beans, cold meats, cheeses, cakes, pastries, bread, yoghourts and fruit juice. Quite a few coach parties in for breakfast but not an issue and half the hotel was full,of school kids on trips but again, not an issue and they didn’t do breakfast in the main area. Food in the restaurant was very reasonably priced, plentiful and nice. They have a nice bar but we didn’t use it. Best of all (sad I know), they had BBC1 as a TV channel! Would definitely stay here again if we visit Ypres.

A pleasant basic short break accommodation.

The breakfast was very good. A good mix of continental and cooked food. A good selection of hot drinks as well as cereal and fruit juices. The restaurant had a limited evening menu, that said the portions were generous, well presented and well cooked. The staff were friendly and courteous, all the areas are clean, and airy. Our room had the normal things, TV, tea making facilities and a fridge. The bathroom was good and the shower was fabulous,very powerful.

The lodge is a bit tired, the towels were passed their best, on the thin side. The lodge is used by young student coach tours. Although they are accommodated in a separate wing noise was an issue on a couple of nights.

Clean and comfortable beds. Good powerful shower. Good choice at breakfast. About a mile from the centre of Ypres where we found lots of free parking and and plenty of restaurants. Ok choice for a stopover before traveling on to UK on the way back from our trip to the Alps.
