Perfect place to stay

Very friendly & welcoming. Perfect location being a couple of minutes walk from the Market Square & with a free car park at the other end of the street. The Chocolate Room was fantastic & very comfortable & the breakfast offered was very tasty!

Quirky but wonderful

This tiny hotel is a very clever conversion of a traditional Ypres town house. The rooms are each themed, and we had 'Chocolate'. The bed was very comfortable, with really high quality linen. The shower was large and worked well. The breakfast was carefully prepared by our host, and delicious. The Christmas decorations (for Martinmass on 11th November) were lovely and somewhat overwhelming. The WiFi worked well, and our hosts were very friendly and welcoming.

Awesome place to stay in Ypres!

Everything - the room was spacious and beautifully laid out. The B&B is in a great location - maybe 200 meters from the town square! Josseline and her family were great hosts. The home is fabulous and the breakfast provided was excellent too. One of - if not the best B and B we’ve ever stayed in!

Very happy with my stay, I world gladly return and recommend to family and friends.

Great location, friendly hosts, spotlessly clean room, very comfortable bed, homely environment with funky, colourful decor and Disney characters throughout the property, nice pond and outdoor seating area, good breakfast, although I would have preferred a buffet breakfast or to choose the items the night before as I could not eat the cold meats (I am vegetarian), yoghurt or some of the cheeses and fruit the host had kindly prepared for each guest.

Nothing I didn’t like, if anything as a light sleeper I couldn’t sleep with the noise of the mini fridge in the bedroom and I had to unplug it for the night. Otherwise it was all good, I was sad to leave.

Ter Thuyne is a must stay

Our hosts Joseline and Jannick were absolutely wonderful! Jannick helped us carry our bags up the stairs and showed us around the house and courtyard and Joseline made sure we had everything we needed. We came and went as we pleased amd thoroughly enjoyed the candy room.

Comfortable stay very close to the town centre.

The property is in a very good location in the town with free parking possible on the road outside from 6.00pm to 9.00am (2 hours with a disc in the daytime). It is an easy walk in to the town square, its bars and restaurants and to the Menin Gate. We were in the Candy room which had a comfortable bed and a powerful shower. The owners are very welcoming and we thought it wonderful to be able to sit outside in their garden during the lovely hot weather. We could have used their hot tub too (but chose not to). Breakfast was good with fruit, yogurt, bread, pastries, cheese etc and there was a good coffee machine too. We stayed two nights and the breakfast was slightly different each day. We thought it good value and would recommend.

We appreciate the guest house is themed but we did think there was a bit too much clutter.

This property is amazing. The most comfortable stay in the most beautiful property. Every need is catered for. Including hot tub ! The room was beautiful with everything you could possibly need. The host are very welcoming. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. We were leaving early hours on our last day and we were catered for too. We can’t wait to return

Delightful b&b right in the centre of Ieper.

Fantastic location right in the centre of Ieper. The main square and Menin gate are an easy walk. Our hosts were very helpful and friendly, explaining the facilities and provided a local parking disc to help with car parking. The breakfasts were plentiful and fresh. Our room was very spacious. The hot tub was an added bonus too.

Nothing really, there are no ensuite facilities in the room, but the bathroom was next door, so this wasn't an issue for us.

Amazing family holiday, everything we could have wished for & more 😃

We loved everything! Breakfast was amazing, something different and unique every single day. My daughter loved the board games and the swing chair in the garden and we all loved the hot tub. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The property’s location couldn’t have been any better either, it’s right in the city centre. Amazing place all around. Very child friendly too. My daughter even got a chocolate cat on arrival and another one when we left and she was given a big teddy to play with for the duration of our stay. Lovely family holiday. Thank you.

Lovely friendly hosts, very helpful, shown around property on arrival.Breakfast was very good, with a good selection of breads/cheese/ham/cereal/tea/coffee/fruit, juices etc. Location was very good, quiet street but just a two minute walk to the main square in Ypres.

Wonderful meet & greet, this B&B could not be better Situated for a visit to the Menin Gate, just a short walk past lots of restaurants, bars & shops, and as a bonus it your driving, Esplanade 7 is a free car park less than 150 meters from the B&B

Great B&B,

The Lady made us very welcome, the rooms are all themed and our room was the Chocolate room, there was a big Mural of a box of chocolates on the wall, the room was very comfortable and clean, nice shower too, We were shown the garden and told we can sit on the comfy chairs and if wanted use the Hot tub and Jacuzzi, there was a lovely pond full of fish. Only a short walk to the main square where all the bars and restaurants are and the Menin Gate, We will return..

The breakfast was amazing everyday! Our host Joseline was absolutely fantastic, extremely kind, informative and welcoming. She provided us with a beautiful breakfast every morning with bonus pancakes, bacon and eggs. The jacuzzi was set in a beautiful garden with a koi pond. The location was perfect too, a 5 minute walk from the Grand Place so it was ideal, and free parking was available just a 5 minute walk from the b&b but you can also park right outside for 30 minutes to unload your suitcases if you need. It was easter weekend when we stayed and we got a visit from the Easter Bunny on Sunday who gave us belgian chocolate easter eggs!

I absolutely couldn’t find any fault with this B&B. We will 100% be back.

Excellent B&B and great location!

Colourful quirky decor throughout the property, with great amenities including a pretty outdoor seating area with a pond, a Jacuzzi and sauna. We stayed in the 'Chocolate' room which was very stylish in decor. Comfortable bed and large modern shower room. Breakfast was amazing! Very tasty, fresh and lots of variety. Especially the scrambled eggs. The family who lives there are very nice and happy to provide information on the local area. There is free car parking at the train station, a short walk away. Also a perfect location to walk into the town centre for shops, restaurants, museum, and the Menin Gate (we recommend the Calinor chocolaterie nearby. You can see them making their own chocolate and it's very yummy!) We would definitely stay here again.

Two lovely nights at Ter Thuyne

Lovely welcome by Jannick and Joceline and a delicious breakfast cooked daily by Joceline including friut, homemade bread and jam and other homemade treats. The room was very clean and the beds were so comfortable. The hosts were responsive before our visit and very helpful during the visit. It's very central. We loved using the hot tub in the cold drizzly weather too!

Two small changes - a second pillow and the option of opening the window. Otherwise it's perfect.

we stayed at the poppy room which was a family room. it was large, light and airy. The host was super nice and helpful. Breakfast was very nice with home made bread rolls and jams.

The bed was a little to soft for my back but that is just a personal preference.

Fantastic accommodation in a beautiful city. I didn’t want to leave, but will certainly be back.

After staying in a number of properties during my holiday that were tiny, the bedroom and bathroom were very spacious. The property was clean and tidy, well appointed and the hosts were so lovely - was like staying with family. The location was fantastic - short walk from the train station and to the Flanders Fields Museum and the Menin Gate. The breakfast was AMAZING - so much food put out for me when I came downstairs and while I was having that, Joseline was cooking me more!!! Rooms are upstairs, but my host carried my heavy suitcase up for me which was much appreciated.

Location is perfect, in the middle of Ypres. Restaurants in the area are very good. The staff (the couple in the house) is very helpful and friendly.

Sounds at night from the minibar (was solved by unplugging it), difficult to sleep. One of the rooms use a bathroom in the hall which could be annoying to people in the other room.

Very welcoming, warm, cosy, a lovely home in a great location. Breakfast has to be the best ever, homemade jams, bread, and other small delights. Plenty of everything. A kettle in our room was very nice but you could also get drinks in the dining room. Our hostess was lovely and had given us a homemade chocolate cat too. So much attention to detail, a very generous and creative atmosphere.
