CHRIS WAS GOOD HUMERED

I'm a disabled traveller no mention the hotel was not suitable. There is no reception, you have to phone and they inform you where the keys are. The hotel is half hour walk to market square,not a third of kilometer as mentioned. The property is not a hotel at best a guest house.

As it was January and very cold the room was freezing on our arrival but warmed up quickly after radiatior turned on. In the morning I washed my hair and the hair dryer was broken, not fun leaving with wet hair in cold Jan morning. Floors are practical but extremely cold on your feet. All things that could be sorted.

Excellent location just on edge of core market area. An easy 10 minute walk to the square. The property is modern and very clean. The breakfast was perfect and delicious. Even had scrambled eggs on request.

Room was clean and comfortable with a huge bathroom, we had the place to ourselves, so lovely and quiet. Breakfast was great, served at an agreed time by a very pleasant member of staff.

There are very steep and tight steps up to rooms. I would not suggest for anyone with mobility issues. There was no air conditioning. It was not overly hot, so we got on ok.

Excellent!

Pretty much everything- all three rooms were taken by members of our cycling tour group, and we were able to securely store our bikes on the ground floor. As there's no staff on site for much of the day, arranging times for our arrival and breakfast was necessary, but easily done, Chesney was very helpful indeed and an excellent host. Room was spacious, bed comfortable, tea & coffee facilities, bathroom massive, modern, and clean. Breakfast offering: bread, cheese & cold meats, yoghurt, etc, plus freshly made scrambled egg- all quality. The Menin Gate, railway station & some excellent bars and restaurants are within 10-15 minutes walk.

No soap for the basin in the bathroom. Bit odd, but hardly a major problem.

I can only recommend. Flexible, welcoming, precise, clean, comfortable, elegant, helpful.

Room was comfortable in size. It was clean and well-prepared. There were sufficient heating and hot water. The communication was smooth. The management was supportive, welcoming, fast in responses, and very customer-oriented. I really liked that the radio was always on in the kitchen. It created a very cozy and pleasant environment.

using the TV was difficult. we were unable to access TV channels though we could access Netflix.

Really convenient location within a short walk of the town centre. Rooms were spacious, and the beds were comfortable.

The standard of cleanliness could be higher as it was grubby in places which put us of eating there, so we skipped breakfast.

Lovely, ideal location, very clean, great host.

We turned up on a motorbike which had just had a puncture, in the middle of Saturday afternoon. Sander, the host, rang around for us and in 15 minutes had found a bike shop prepared to stay open and do a puncture repair - this saved our return journey!

It's a lovely terraced house but the stairs are narrow - ok for us but take care if anyone in your party has mobility issues.

Chesney was welcoming and a good host Rooms were adequate and the breakfast was plentiful. A 10 mins walk to the cloth hall and centre of ypres parking was outside the premises and was only available after the offices opposite closed but no problems

The shower head didn't work and you had to hold the wand shower part in your hand while washing 🙃 Beds were uncomfortable and had a convex shape (a severe crown in the middle .4 of the party complained to me about the bed ) felt like you were rolling out of the bed. It is important you have a decent bed and shower and unfortunately both let our stay down

Staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Breakfast was tasty with freshly cooked eggs.

Bed was slightly uncomfortable as two single mattresses on a double bed had a dip between them.

Superb location and hospitality!

Amazing breakfast and location, it's 2 minutes from the train station and 10 minutes walk to the town centre. Room is modern and tidy and has everything you'll need. But the best part was the staff/hosts - they were very responsive, flexible and went above and beyond to make sure you have a comfortable stay. Can't recommend enough!
