Great place with wonderful hosts.

Excellent location close to Ypres City centre. Sophie was an amazing host, it was like meeting an old friend. Breakfast was fantastic, especially Sophies Mums homemade jams. We will definitely be staying at Cocoon again in the near future when we travel to see family in this wonderful part of Belguim.

Perfect stay with charming host

Sophie was a charming, kind and very helpful host, nothing was too much trouble and her home is delightful. The breakfast was excellent and the location very good. The bedroom and breakfast area is a compact but very well designed space and we had everything we needed. It is a quiet street with parking right opposite and we were able to walk everywhere in the city.

Lovely and quiet but within minutes walk of the Market Place.

Lovely little guest house in a very quiet street with free parking outside (and a disabled bay) but within a three minute walk of Ypres beautiful and vibrant Market Place. Our Host, Sophie and her Husband greeted us and helped us carry our luggage from the car to our lovely clean and spacious room. Breakfast was an array of cereals, meats, cheeses, different breads, homemade jams etc and the offer of bacon and eggs for us Brits on top of that. In fact, it was far better than what we were offered in a 4* Hotel in Brugge a couple of days later. There was a Nespresso coffee machine and Yorkshire Tea available free throughout our stay. Our host went the extra mile when I asked to borrow a ironing board to prepare for our Remembrance Day Ceremonies. She refused....Saying. "I will do it for you. We have people visit us from all over the World with clothes rolled in their bags". It was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. We will be staying there again soon.

Convenient for Ypres attractions, off street parking. Sophie is an excellent host and very helpful friendly lady.

Not really anything. The room and bathroom are compact but that is part of the charm of staying in a traditional Belgium town house. Taxes historically are on the footprint hence why they are usually 3/4 floors high.

Everything about the stay was beautiful. The owner really made us welcome. The accommodation is clean, really presented nicely and everything was thought of. Delicious breakfast with homemade jams. Loved everything about it!

Loved it. Very quaint. Loved how snacks were available and fresh fruit. Coffee machine with assortment of coffees available 24/7. Breakfast was lovely with the choice of eggs and bacon along with continental breakfast with home made Jams. Hosts were lovely.

Lovely comfortable and welcoming B&B

Lovely, quiet and welcoming . Good location close to the centre but no traffic noise . Room so comfortable and hosts very welcoming and friendly. Lovely breakfast laid out for us with a long period to have it so no pressure to get out of bed too early. We slept really well and would recommend

It was very close to the shops, museums etc The host Sophie was so helpful and very friendly. The rooms were perfect and the breakfast was great. We had bacon and eggs when we wanted it as well. We had no trouble parking.

Highly recommend - amazing B'n'B in Ypres.

Very nice accommodation in the centre of Ypres, perfect for visiting all of the WWI sites. Easy walk into the centre of town and the hosts were very good - they even helped us unload our motorbikes and direct us to some free motorbike parking! They go above and beyond for their guests - highly recommend.

This was a home from home in a beautiful town. We loved it and would stay here again.

Very convenient to the town centre, plenty of street parking nearby. Sophie welcomed us like long lost friends and nothing was too much trouble at all, she went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The room and bathroom were spotless, lovely decor, very comfortable bed. The breakfast was lovely, freshly made bacon and eggs, fresh bread and pastries, orange juice, yogurts, cheeses etc. We loved everything about this property and would 100% recommend.

Fantastic

Very boutique style and quiet but central location. Sofia is an excellent host and nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and tidy with a great shower. The breakfast had everything from tea, coffee, juices, cereals, pastries, toast, home made rolls and jams, eggs to order and bacon etc.

There is nothing to dislike or criticise we would highly recommend staying at Cocoon.

Fantastic location but other rude guests ruined the stay!

The B&B is centrally located for Ypres. It had a cute roof terrace and the breakfast was very good, with excellent eggs and bacon and lots of choice. The room also has air con. The hosts were really lovely, very welcoming and eager to make sure our stay was as good as possible.

Unfortunately our room was at the top of the stairs which are very squeaky and the guests in the room next to us decided to come home very late then keep going up and down the stairs several times between 1 and 4am. Consequently we didn’t sleep. As well the twin beds are super narrow and not overly comfortable and the toilet is in a cupboard in the room, so would suggest you stay there if you’re comfortable with the person you’re traveling with. Those two things probably wouldn’t have been an issue but alongside the lack of sleep we decided to cut our stay short and go somewhere else.

Well, to begin - our hosts were welcoming, helpful and fun to talk with. The B&B was in a great location - on a quiet street a short walk from the town center. The room was small (to be expected in a historic building), but the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was exceptional - fresh pastries, homemade jams, and Sofie offered eggs as you like them. Convenient free parking is a couple of blocks away. Staying there felt more like staying with a favorite relative, rather than in an impersonal hotel. Highly recommended!

Fabulous accommodation in beautiful Ypres.

We were made so welcome, Sofie and her son were very helpful, he (Cody? Sorry, it’s been a few weeks!) helped us with our bags and even drove with us to park the car - which wasn’t far from the accommodation but we definitely would have got lost! The room was lovely, the breakfast superb and it was an easy stroll into the beautiful centre of town.

Excellent location close to centre. We were probably lucky to get a parking spot over the road become free just after we arrived! Room not the biggest you will find but perfectly adequate. Nice choices at breakfast. Nice little terrace to have a drink in the afternoon sun!

Loved Cocoon

We loved Cocoon. We stayed here for the Gent-Wevelgem cycling race, and the location was perfect. Sophe and Lode made us feel so welcome, they couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was massive and very tasty, especially the homemade strawberry jam. The bed was comfortable, and the room was large and clean. Even though the property does not have parking, we were lucky enough to find a space opposite, which did not cost anything. All in all a wonderful stay, and we will stay at Cocoon again.
