It was really nice to stay here and everything was great except for the bathroom area as already mentioned.

Really nice hotel downstairs, lifts, hallways. Comfy bed and initially thought a nice room.

The toilet was on wooden blocks in my room. 144. The toilet brush was dirty and the shower was gravity and needs a refresh.

Air conditioning in the room was relatively non-existent. Couldn't over-ride main settings and was far too warm and stuffy in the room to sleep comfortably (in early February!). Temperature needs to be lower if you can't open the window at all.

Dissatisfied

Nice location and great spa facilities

Shower drain was partly blocked causing water to go all over the bathroom, subsequently having to clear it all up, there were water marks on the floor due to this clearly being an issue prior to our stay. Both tv’s were also not working, after a little investigation, both yvs were turned off at there plug sockets meaning I had to pull the tvs out and turn them on, to which I found both remote controls were very temperamental and couldn’t direct anything on the tv or turn the tv off, so had to turn the tv back off, which explained why they were originally turned off at the wall, it was late so didn’t report it until we checked out. Overall this left the stay to be disappointing, when checking out, we felt as the issues were not taken seriously.

The kitchenware very limited, 2 forks, 2 spoons, 2 plates, the smallest pot I ever seen, maybe enough for one potato, size of a tea bag, see picture. My dougter visited me, absolutely not enough(I asked for a larger pot and took some plates and forks from the restaurant) The pool very small and not deep, not good for swiming Not close to the city center Parking expensive,

Excellent for family trip to Cambridge

Property was excellent. Great facilities, helpful staff, well maintained. It felt luxe but practical. Convienent location to walk into Cambridge. Would come back again and would highly recommend.

Clean, friendly staff - but insanely loud ventilation system that cannot be turned off

Clean with friendly staff.

You cannot open any windows, which means that everything runs on a ventilation system - probably CMV. However, it is ridiculously noisy - like trying to fall asleep hugging your old fridge. We had booked three rooms, and unfortunately, none of us (four people) could sleep.

A very good stay, I was there for 1 week, I had no real issues and have suggested some areas to cons

The breakfast was good, plenty of varied choice, the coffee machine was not a great taste, though I am a coffee expert! Location was good nearby restaurants offering a wide selection of food. Facilities in the room like the tea and kettle were good for me as some hotels do not have this, bathroom was great and provided night gowns were good.

The Wifi was troublesome for my devices due to the sign on process with the web browser, I understand terms and conditions are required using it, but perhaps once you have logged on it remains for the week, I had a computer and phone both were a little upset with this. Parking was expensive, I thought this should be included with the room.

Room was a great size, bigger and better than expected with lovely bathroom and very modern. The pool area was lovely and was easy to both park and to walk into the center. Would definitely return for future stays in Cambridge.

An alumnus welcome

The staff were very helpful. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. We appreciated the nice touch of the golden coloured balloons to welcome my fiancée for her birthday 🎂.

Very good location, just a short 15 min walk into Cambridge. Nearby bus stop was available if required. Excellent service given by the reception team. Didn’t use any other facilities that hotel had to offer. Room very clean and comfortable. Liked the fact that the hotel had a secure car park.

It has many good facilities. Good location. The restaurant and the coffee shops are nice

I stayed for three nights. On the second night, I called reception three times asking for water — each time they said it was coming, but it never arrived. Also, the room was not clean upon arrival. Poor service and lack of cleanliness made the stay disappointing.
