we had a short break and it was very nice i would recommend this hotel to anybody

Our stay here was very nice but by far the best bit was the chauffer driven tour on our last day with Zane it was such a lovely way to round off our stay on a rainy day We really liked the coffee station where bean to cup coffee was readily available free of charge We did not eat at the hotel because we pre booked other eateries but i am sure the offering would have been great if we had

Breakfast service was terrible. It took an hour before I got my cooked breakfast and when it arrived one of the poached eggs was inedible as white was not cooked. Getting a cup of tea was a joke, only one tea/coffee machine which after queuing for ages only dispensed half a cup . Room was ok but overheated even after I turned off the air conditioning. Stop with the Bentley nonsense and get breakfasts sorted. Expected better for £19 breakfast.

Better organisation at breakfast. No one want to wait an hour for cooked breakfast featuring raw eggs. I’d suggest a buffet breakfast but when I tried the buffet on Sunday the bacon was overcooked and they didn’t have enough warming pans so half of the items were just on plates and therefore cold. Please invest in another coffee machine and a tea urn for hot water. It easily sorted!

Comfortable hotel in the middle of Cambridge.

Lovely hotel in the centre of Cambridge, very comfortable and quiet room. The staff were very good and the breakfast was excellent with a good variety on offer.

Very poor value for money

Nothing, small room despite upgrading, breakfast cold, egg like rubber, not a smile in sight from the staff, wait at reception, wait at the bar and lift not working!!!. All in all not what I expected when paying that sort of price.

Pleasant stay in a nice room, but very much let down by the food for what is meant to be a high end hotel.

Rooms are very nice. Spacious and clean with a great view of the park.

- we were unfortunately awoken at 0745 by housekeeping to see if we wanted the room cleaning - the shakshuka at breakfast was absolutely terrible. It was essentially luke warm tomato soup poured on top of an over-poached tomato egg. No flavour and presented terribly. - we were also offered on the day that guests are eligible for a complimentary tour round Cambridge in one of the Bentleys. As we were not made aware of this before, we had already made plans and were not able to make the most of this.

It’s fine, if I hadn’t been so hot overnight I’d be more enthusiastic!

Staff were lovely and very friendly towards our dog. The location is very good.

Lovely hotel

Lovely hotel with modern facilities. The bed was super comfortable and the room looked out over the Christmas market. Staff were welcoming, helpful and very friendly

Car park was small and full due to an event at the hotel. We had to use a multi-storey car park down the road. Fine if the weather is okay.

In summary, the stay was ok.

Location was great for the city centre. Bar was good and jazz very nice.

The lift wasn't working and had been out for some time so we had to carry luggage up 2 flights of stairs and my husband who has a bad hip had to use the stairs every time. There were no instructions on using the heating in the room and it was too dark to read the panel without a torch. The wardrobe was very awkward for hanging clothes; the kettle tray had to be removed in order to hang shirts; dresses and coats did not fit into to the wardrobe and there was nowhere to hang them outside. The bar area was good and cocktails lovely but the bar staff put all of the dirty glasses on the end of the bar which is unsightly and unpleasant.

From the greeting at check in to the morning of departure, the staff were friendly and helpful. We only had breakfast at the hotel, but that was excellent and I am sure an indicator of the food in general. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again if we visit the area on another occasion.

The hotel is used for celebrations weddings ect we stayed in a luxury room with a patio, in front of our room was a tent on night 3 from 4pm in the afternoon people began arriving the party continued with loud music drinking and smoking until 10pm literally just outside our patio (open area chained off so not enclosed) I understand that this happens regularly at this hotel though we had not been made aware of this if we had we would have stayed somewhere else for the night i had to get dressed at 10pm and find the manager and voice my concerns he acted quickly and efficiently which I was grateful for however i was offered no compensation nor was it followed up the next day, I had to speak to the day manager. We travelled from Australia for a trip of a lifetime and paid a lot of money for this hotel stay They need to advise people staying if there are large groups that way they can decide if they want to stay during this time

Room wasn’t ready until 4.30pm when check in is 3pm, complimentary drink offered. Coffee machine only, in room and just pumped out water, pod didn’t work!! Additional sachets would be preferable as you could then make coffee with kettle water

Perfect stay

I loved everything about this hotel. The location was perfect, as was everything else. The bed & pillows were the best ever, and we overslept.

A luxurious stay in festive Cambridge

The room was very nice and the bed was so comfortable. The hotel had a sense of luxury and was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The complimentary Bentley tour was a lovely touch.

Service in the bar needs to be improved, it was too slow with empty glasses everywhere. The parking was difficult and the addition of a per night parking charge is ridiculous! The heating in our room was not as effective as it should have been.

Beautiful stay

Perfect location. Hotel looked lovely from the outside and even lovelier once you stepped through the door. Very friendly and helpful staff. Our room was really nice, exceptionally clean and the bed extremely comfortable.

Made our two days in Cambridge even more enjoyable

Beautiful hotel. Comfortable rooms, small but perfectly formed bathroom with a fantastic shower. Very nice communal spaces ie lounge and bar areas. Good breakfast and delicious dinner. Lovely, friendly staff.

The only criticisms I have are the poor lighting (difficult to do make-up) and no full length mirror in the bedroom. Having said that the bathroom lighting was fine.

This is a very comfortable and clean hotel in a very central location in Cambridge. Walk to everything!

A small thing but drop in and check out car spaces were inconvenienced by staff detailing hotel cars in that area.

This was your basic holiday inn style hotel! Dogs and food in hallway

This was an upgraded room I paid for which wasn’t the original room I booked. I took advantage of the additional upgraded room that is spammed via emails once you booked. Totally overrated and unfortunately hated the upgraded room. Dust literally in places where you would expect dust so thought things like this would be easily visible and not problem spot cleaning. Food trays and empty food waste box’s left next to the hotel door. I am assuming only because there was a table left-hand side to door where everyone is placed food on top which STAYED for hours! I would attach the video I recorded of how unclean the bathroom is which I shall do on google reviews but on here there isn’t an option to. I Hated the stay, I wouldn’t go back there but the location was great. Car park was fully each night but wasn’t so much of a problem as there are other locations to park, 7:30am fire alarm also!

Perfect location

Perfect location for our visit with car parking on site. Lovely room - very spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed time in the bar with live music before eating in the restaurant - the food was lovely.
