Great views, fantastic local food and nice and welcoming owner..

Fantastic experience view, excellent Bulgarian food and not least the served dinner. The owner speaks hardly any of the common European languages, but this was nicely overcome by using google translator.

Bathroom was very small, but Ok.

Highly recommend this little mountain retreat

Views were amazing and the property itself is unique and beautiful. The staff took care of us and made us feel welcome. Language barrier runs deep, but Google translate got us through when the one staffer wasn’t there. Food was great and the beer was cold. Awesome spot!

1. The room was not really clean – I felt like Sherlock Holmes discovering that the previous guests had a dog and celebrated an anniversary, because we found dog food granules on the floor and remains of balloons taped to the walls. The pool and jacuzzis outside wasn’t clean as well 2. Our room was located directly under the restaurant, so it was very noisy. 3. The bed was extremely uncomfortable – the mattress is so old that you can feel the base underneath. Instead of waking up refreshed, you wake up feeling beaten up. 4. “Including breakfast/dinner” actually means you get to choose one dish out of three options, and the food was not tasty at all. The prices on the regular menu are also unreasonably high compared to the quality of the food. Conclusion: The place is definitely not worth the price.

Enjoyable mountain getaway

The property had an issue with our room and I appreciate them calling immediately and offering us options. The new room was in a nearby place, but was nice and clean. The location itself was nice and panoramic. The breakfast was tasty.

I would have appreciated to know in advance that the dinner would be an option from a set menu. No changing room around the pool (or at least I could not find one)

An unpleasant expierence from the beginning. No welcome greeting upon arrival. A feeling of not being prepared for guests. Although we arrived in the afternoon and had told the guesthouse ahead of time when we will arrive. We were shown two rooms. One for my local family members and one family room for us. The small family room was equipped with an unsupportive (for a good sleep) couch for a 15 and 11 year old. The fabric of the couch was torn apart. The bathroom was unprepared, the shower glass doors were barely see through. On the balcony we saw an ash tray with cigarette buds and an empty coke bottle. Both rooms were supposed to have a view onto the mountains as booked but these rooms only had a view onto the pool. We immidiately requested to be shown different rooms. The guest house did not have another room to host my family members therefore the mountain view room as booked was unavailable. The second family room presented to us had a sleeping couch that looked slightly better as the fabric was not torn however far from a mountain view but onto clutter. We decided to view the rest of the guest house. The pool area is unfinished and has visible construction that are not sealed off and a definitive saftey concern especially for younger children. Apart from that it looks terrible. There was lots of clutter around the entrance of the hotel and it was clear to us this guest house does not welcome guests in a prepared, welcoming and friendly way. Not a place you want to spend your vacation at. We never officially registered with our passports but instead looked for a better hotel close by to safe our deserved vacation. I have been using Booking all over the world from Asia, Europe to North America for many years successfully but have never encountered such disappointment. I immidiately ask Booking to resolve the issue and requested my money back. I am still waiting to hear back from customer service. Overall spare yourself from booking the guesthouse.

The owner is an extraordinary person, the rooms are clean and comfortable, there are few places to go around by car I advise to check, food really tasty and the view... next level...

Worth a visit.

Amazing view. Good interior design. Jacuzzi in the room. Plenty of parking space. Friendly staff. Breakfast and dinner could be included in the price and you get 3 choices of traditional Bulgarian meals. They allow pets on the property. The property has many terraces, indoors and outdoors dining areas and children's playground.

No drinks are included on breakfast or dinner. The Wifi was not existent in the rooms under the tavern. There was no mobile reception there either.

Bad

The location was good, despite the bad road. Visually the place looks very good and has a wonderful view. In general, people were polite. For everything else, however, you can read below.

It was extremely dirty and neglected, there were snot stuck on the walls by previous visitors. We had booked two rooms in two neighboring houses, and in one of them there was not even hot water (it was extremely lukewarm). When we entered the room, we noticed that it was extremely small in size. (for people with children is not at all appropriate). At night, there was a need for additional heating, since the period in which we visited it the climate was still cold. We noticed that the remote control of the air conditioner was missing. We asked the owners and provided us with a remote, but asked on check-out to return it, although they would then clean the room and could take it themselves, but I have never visited a hotel where it is necessary to ask for a remote. At the entrance to each of the houses, they make you take off your shoes and go up with slippers to the room. "Cherry on the Torah" was a dinner that included only a main dish with nothing extra, and there were even three options, which were two of them with pork and a third vegetarian dish. For a person who does not eat pork as if you do not have dinner.The prices in the restaurant were quite high, but it did not bother us, the problem was that they were written without any logic behind it, as if I (a man with no experience) had sat down for coffee to write them as I came. I would not repeat, I also do not recommend it. It's a wonderful place that the people who run it don't know what they're doing.
