Terrible reception staff. Amazing resort.

Luxury experience and amazing staff - except the reception staff who were the worst I've ever experienced.

The reception staff lost our booking and made us wait for 2.5 hours for the room we had booked, in the middle of a hot day after a long journey from England. Refused to take responsibility for their error. Appalling customer service. All other staff were outstanding, especially the men who drive the taxis.

Hualtulco is beautiful.

It was okay. I wasn’t too happy having to smoke in areas very uncomfortable without ash tray outside the resort basically on the street on a hard rock bench. 10th floor would had been great having an umbrella at least for the heat. No where to sit I felt discriminated and punished for smoking. We are customers that smoke and pay same amount for our stay too. Customers that smoke are not any less than others. I respect the rules but give me somewhere decent to sit. A chair or bench with cushion and ashtray. I’m a customer too that paid for my stay at Park Royal Beach Hualtulco. It won’t be my first option to stay at my next trip.

Getting sick from my stomach with food poisoning. The food near the beach was not too well kept at right temperature. Flies would be all over the dessert table when double doors were wide open. 7th floor restaurant is a la carte. Menu is translated in English but once they brought the plates it did not have what it said on the menu. My omelette was missing the bell pepper , onion and bacon on the side. My pescado a la Veracruzana was missing the rice. When I asked the waiter his response was we run out of rice. It would have been nice if they would let me know while ordering.

The staff was indifferent at best, rude at worst. The transportation to the beach club often times took more than 40 minutes to come for pickup, there was no adecuate ventilation making indoors even hotter than outdoors, all of which at this price point should be unacceptable

The drinks were great and most of all the staff are all amazing and very attentive and really friendly. Overall if you are coming in a big group with family and friends Park Royal is a really great option specially if you plan on staying over for multiple days.

The location is great. A taxi drive to the main city. The room was clean although the housekeepers never swept the room.

This is my second time at Park Royal Beach Huatulco, and things have changed a lot. Bad things. When you arrive, you get swapped with travel time-share agents. Can I check in first? The food was bland, it had no flavor. There were no dinner shows. Something that was provided every night back in December 2020. The small bus/truck that transports guests to the beach was always unavailable. We had to walk to the beach and walk back. About a twenty-minute walk. There were no beach towels. There were no excitement or fun activities at the hotel. It was so boring. Again, the food was bland with no flavor.

Great hotel and location - I will come back

The property is super big and golf cars are available all the time to get you anywhere you need in the hotel. they will take you to the beach club (you can also walk there ) rooms or lobby. Our room was super big- there were 2 beds, balcony, living room, small kitchen.. I really loved our suite. The facilities are very nice and you have everything you need in an all inclusive. Staff are nice most of the time and food was good (it could be improved) We were only there for 3 nights but enjoyed as much as we could. The location is pretty good and there are taxis passing by all the time and there is a taxi station right in front of the hotel entrance. As a whole, I will rate 8/10 (just bc you can always improve your services)

Food was good but it can be better. It also depends on what you like to eat as well. To be honest, I was very pleased most of the time. Also, this doesn’t have nothing to do with the hotel but I think is important for tourists to know : MAKE SURE TO GET YOUR CHANGE BACK OR PAY AS EXACT AS POSSIBLE!! We encounter few situations were we paid for a service and needed change back and they will give you some and then say I’m missing 20 pesos , 50 pesos or any amount and then act like they don’t remember and will not give you the change unless you ask for it againnn and then get mad. I know 20,50, or 100 is not much but is your choice to give them the tip or not. I know they are going through difficult times due to the hurricane but I feel they shouldn’t do that or try to be smart about someone else’s money. Also, make sure you ask for prices of everything before getting in a taxi or tours so they won’t change it to you at the end. Unfortunately, that was the downside for us in Huatulco/Mazunte area since it had never happened to us in other places in Mexico.

The Service, Gerardo was amazing 👏 ,everyone was very helpful. It was big and clean. I would go back because it was affordable and still in a good area. and service is everything to me.

couldn't control the A/C in rooms. had to call to program to lower. found this out after we left, so it was hot. It felt hot in Buffet area at times. we wouldn't like to enjoy the lobby bar area too but it was too hot there too. no A/C. we also did go on the hottest month of the year.

It wasn’t what we expected. Beds are small, you can’t fit 2 people comfortably (one person had to sleep on the couch to make it more comfortable). Food was medium. Room were medium.

The rooms are big and nicely decorated with an amazing view .

It’s quite a walk to the beach from the room and there is no frequent golf carts as promised. You can call for one I guess. The worst thing is food and drinks. Their buffet was below average and not about personnel to serve. People were standing and waiting for so long without anyone in sight to help. Drinks are very basic as well. Pool area is very basic too , but beach is very beautiful. A la carte Italian restaurant is ok in terms of atmosphere for breakfast and dinner , however , food is tasteless. Food looks good on the plate , but not tasty at all.

The seafront view from our room, food options on the buffet was amazing. Great it has an adult only bar with the best view of the whole area.

Small and old beach club and the hotel does not have direct beach access.
