Overall pleasant stay at Casa Marisa

The room size was great and felt spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the terrace, which was nicely equipped with a sofa and a large table — perfect for relaxing in the evenings. Water coolers are available on the property, which we found very practical and convenient. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they kindly assisted us in calling a taxi for our departure day.

We would recommend booking a sea view room rather than a city view room. Our room overlooked a dusty little road and an aluminum fence, which wasn’t particularly pleasant. The terrace is also not fully separated from the stair landing and the neighboring terrace, so privacy is somewhat limited. The bathroom did not have a door, which may be important for some guests to know. Additionally, roosters (and dogs) tend to wake you up quite early in the morning — something to be aware of if you're a light sleeper.

It’s a beautiful property but they just aren’t lucky with the neighbors.

The location was great. Walking distance to the main area. The room was pretty and spacious. The large terrace with pool view was beautiful.

Unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy the beautiful terrace at all bc the neighbors were burning trash all day long and I was there a week so it wasn’t just a one off. I know it’s out of Casa Marisa’s control but It smelled so bad we couldn’t be outside. There are dogs near by that barks all the time. And I’m not sure why there’s no door to the bathroom/toilet- so easy to fix…The staff was fine but not super helpful sometimes- I had to ask for clean beach towels after 4 days and waited 2 days to get them. Not a big deal at all but it would benefit from extra lights around the bed.

Great pool, good location

Great location. Clean. Great pool. Lovely hammocks in terrace. Kitchen is basic but useful. Pool towels provided. Initially I didn't have hot water but they quickly fixed it. Overall the standard was very high and it was a great place to stay.. Really quiet and relaxing.

Late checkout is somewhat expensive, (I was quoted about two thirds of the price of a full night just for 8 hours extra, but they were willing to negotiate a little).

Beautiful apartment in a great area

Great location, slightly further away from any noise but still close enough to everything. Room was spacious, bed was big and comfy, lovely balcony area, garden and pool. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nothing was bad! The only suggestion I’d say is adding bed side lamps but that’s me being picky.

Perfect Stay – A Well-Deserved 10!

We had an amazing week! The hotel is beautiful and brand new, and everything is exceptionally clean. The staff and the owner are truly wonderful—friendly, welcoming, and full of great tips to make your stay even better. We were even able to change our room to a larger one, and we can confirm that all rooms are spotless, comfortable, and very well designed. The location is perfect: within walking distance of all facilities and the beach, yet when you’re relaxing by the pool, it feels like a peaceful oasis surrounded by nature. We had a fantastic week and will 100% come back when we return to Puerto Escondido. Absolutely deserving of a 10!

It’s really quiet so is very peaceful with little noise but a quick walk to the beach and all the restaurants. The pool area is lovely to relax in

If you don’t choose a pool view or garden room, the terrace looks over the dirt road and it’s not particularly nice to sit on. This is not very clear from the site. This is definitely not a hotel so help with anything like laundry or transfers wasn’t possible. I felt it was a little expensive given there were hotels with big pools for similar prices in the area. That said, it was a perfectly comfortable stay.

Beautiful new hotel

Industrial design was simple but gorgeous. Pool was perfect. Room was spotless and massive. Very close to main La Punta strip and beach. Would highly recommend! We also got a really good price via booking and a last minute deal. Great value compared to other hotels nearby and facilities.

Staff were friendly and very unintrusive but communication was quite difficult with them (they didn't understand English nor really understand our basic Spanish which is more our fault than theirs). Our room had a window into the main hallway and - whilst it was a fogged window - it didn't have a curtain which meant some light came into our room all night. Minor thing but it would be good to put a curtain there to help sleep.Also no door to the bathroom which was fine for us but some people may find that a bit lacking in privacy.

Beautiful Casa Marisa, loved the swimming pool!

We had a great time at Casa Marisa! Very clean and spacious apartment, a few steps away from a very nice swimming pool that we used a lot during our short stay! The staff was also very kind!

Nothing we didn’t like, but a recommendation would be to install a door to the bathroom, to make for an even better experience.

Prima en rustige locatie op loopafstand van hoofdstraat en strand. Fijne en ruime kamer met groot terras.

Un bel endroit, les photos sont totalement en accord avec la réalité.

La qualité du bâtiment et des chambres. La sobriété des matériaux et la justesse de la décoration. La petite taille de l’établissement. Le jardin, la végétation et la piscine.

Le service de taxi recommandé par l’hôtel jusqu’à l’aéroport : il était soit disant possible de payer par carte mais cela n’a finalement pas été possible. Le prix de la course était déjà cher pour la région, il a fallut que nous sortions du liquide une fois arrivée à l’aéroport ce qui a augmenté le prix de la course de 30%.

Elke dag schoonmaak, de kamers zijn heel cool ook als je geen airco aan hebt staan.

De handdoeken waren niet heel schoon. Ook deed de wifi het niet heel goed bij mij op de kamer. Toen ik dit ging vragen aan de receptie zei ze dat je dan beneden moest gaan zitten op de gang voor goeie wifi.

Endroit moderne et agréable mais très mal équipé.

Nous avons adoré l'espace de vie extérieur avec le divan, le hamac et la table à manger. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la fontaine d'eau filtrée sur chaque étage.

Comme la salle à manger est à l'extérieur, nous prenions tous nos repas dehors. Bien que celà fut très agréable, il y avait le voisin de l'hôtel qui faisait brûler ses déchets en plein air plusieurs fois par jour. Nous avons été très incommodés par la fumée et les odeurs. C'était très désagréable, surtout quand nous étions en train de prendre nos repas. Nous en avons parlé avec le personnel de l'établissement qui nous a dit que le problème était connu mais qu'il n'y avait pas grand chose qu'il puisse faire. De plus nous avons trouvé que la cuisinette était très mal équipée pour faire la cuisine. C'est une installation de base sans micro-onde, sans grille-pain. Il n'y avait que quelques ustensiles et 2 chaudrons. Il n'y avait pas de verres à vin. Il n'y avait rien non plus pour laver notre propre vaisselle, pas de savon, de tampon à récurer ou de linges de table. Il a fallu aller tout demander aux employés. Décevant.

Tornwro in loco a breve e tornerò sicuramente in questa struttura.

Struttura nuovissima, di recente apertura, molto bella ma soprattutto curata in ogni dettaglio, con una terrazza meravigliosa e piscina. Posizione strategica, due passi dalla spiaggia, e tranquilla. Quello che fa la differenza e’ lo staff, accogliente e disponibile, pronto a risolvere con competenza e gentilezza ogni richiesta. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo.
