Clean. Comfortable. Great pool. Very friendly staff and owner.

I liked it all. The only comment I’d make is most people will want to have wheels at this location. Easy walk to the beach but need to go a bit to restaurants. Scooters, motorcycles, quads and cars are all readily available and not expensive.

Great place to relax

The hotel is super well put, solar panels providing the energy, solar boiler heating the water. The staff is very attentive and friendly, the food is delicious. Virginie the owner receives you in a very welcoming manner, very friendly as well, gives you a lot of tours info and taxi contacts. The beach is at a 5 minutes walk. The terrace from the pool gives you and amazing view from the sea. A very recommended hotel for a few days to relax from the noise of the city.

If you plan to also trip around the city or different beaches consider renting a car, you could also take a taxi but a car would make it easier.

Beautiful and Peaceful Experience

The property is a work of art from the mosaic tiled pool to the wall art and the structure and details of the containers and rooms. Very romantic being up in the mountains. Breezes and bird watching. Amazing king beds. Breakfast was delicious and offered a very large portion. Quiet and good for relaxing for a day. Great experience. Great private patios with tables and hammocks to chill. Friendly staff.

A bit far from the beach so plan on staying there the entire time. Staff doesn’t speak English so brush up on your Spanish;) some mosquitos at night but they offer insect repellent, and this is the same anywhere up in the mountains. Would not recommend this tighter space for anyone big/ tall or elderly.

The place is beautiful and comfy! There’s plenty of space and a pool to hang out around. The place overlooks the ocean and you do not want to miss the sunsets here!

It’s a little far from everything so finding a taxi that doesn’t charge you an arm and a leg is a little annoying.

Well designed, comfortable, really clean. The owner and the crew were extremely welcoming, terrific service. I went to disconnect and rest, and this place surpassed my expectations. For folks like me that are looking for a quiet and comfortable place, this is it.

You need to take a ten minutes cab to Punta Zicatela, which is around seven to ten dollars.

I loved how unique this place is! It’s quiet and comfortable, with great views and an amazing pool. not many places in the area have AC, which is definitely needed, it gets super hot in Puerto. The staff were also very, very kind. And the food is great too. if you’re looking to relax and have some real down time, this is the place for you. The internet is temperamental, as it is most places in Puerto. although I think they’re getting starlink installed soon, so it won’t be a problem going forward. you need to get a taxi if you’re going into la punta, but virginie and her team are super helpful in arranging this. I loved my stay here. would highly recommend.

We had a amazing time at Cabane hôtel. We felt at home in paradise right away

The pool, the sea view, the balcony with hammock, the fact that there are only 4 rooms, the birds, the fact that it felt like home, the staff and the host who catered to our every need and was very discreet.

It’s a bit far from everything so you get charged extra by taxis. but other than that it was perfect !

Cabane is a gorgeous property; the details put into this beautiful bed & breakfast is apparent. It truly takes your breath away seeing how gorgeous this place is!

The property is further away from the main area, I purposely chose this place for this reason, but if you’re looking for area where you’re walking distance to the nightlife, then this is not the place.

absolutely gorgeous

This place is all you need when trying to enjoy a relaxing holiday. The property is absolutely gorgeous, with a lot of effort but into all the small details. The pool area is beautifully done and the ocean view is incredible. It is also only a short maybe 300m walk from the actual beach. The restaurant and bar is great and there is always somebody there to help. The host was super helpful with all the arrangements and tours and was genuinely invested in our wellbeing. There are some weights you can use to work out. Breakfast is delicious! Cannot wait to return

Awesome place to really rest

It was undoubtdedly the best hotel experience we have ever had. The staff was so friendly and it felt like visiting your family. They shared info about things to do and we always felt that if we need anything we could ask. It was so calm and quiet around the hotel, you can spend your evenings listening to pacific ocean waves on your terrace. The beach is about 5 minutes walk away from the hotel, you cant swimm there but it is awesome for a walk since there are so little people around. The bed is really comfortable and the breakfast options are delicious.

Quiet, calming and great sunset views!

This property is well thought out and executed with each room having its own terrace space, table and hammock. I found this hotel attracted mellow travelers (like myself) so it felt very therapeutic to be here as most folks were reading, floating in the amazing pool, and not having loud conversations. Definitely worth it to be here for sunset! I would recommend having a car for this location as it is about 10 min dirt road off the highway. Bonus points for having secured parking behind the gate! I also left very early for a flight, and the staff put out a to-go breakfast for me. Hosts are thoughtful, responsive on WhatsApp, and go above and beyond!

I was in the pink room which didn't have views of the sea (I don't remember if that was a paid option or not) - but ask for a container that has views if you can!

Chic little oasis with amazing hospitality

A chic little oasis on the edge of Puerto Escondido run by an incredibly attentive, helpful and welcoming family - they assisted us with a lot during our stay, without a problem. The rooms are small but very clean and stylish, and the pool is gorgeous! Food is simple but good.

The design of the 4 rooms on the property means you won’t have much privacy with the blinds open - glass walls with stairs in front used by other guests. However the place was so cool that it didn’t bother us, and all of the rooms have blinds - just means you can’t wake up to the lovely ocean view.

Exactly what we needed. To decompress and “arrive” for our stay in Puerto

Super peaceful and remote. Cool to stay in container. On site chef and staff were great. Never had to leave as they took care of everything. Pool and view were lovely!

We are older and there were plenty of stairs. Also, we now know the containers are a bit small for us but we really loved giving them a try. Always live curious.

Relaxing stay - wish we didn’t have to leave.

We had a great stay at CABANE Container Hotel. Our room had a view of the water and a hammock outside, and we liked the artwork on the feature wall and the pool. The food was also great - we had breakfast included but also had lunch there and were served a delicious octopus dish and fresh fish. The chef is great. There is also a sweet little chihuahua and a cat which is always good in my books.

The design concept of the hotel is very cool and elegantly executed. It is eclectic and homely. Great breakfast in the restaurant, plenty of choice and very healthy portions. The location is very peaceful - just 4/5 mins walk to a completely deserted beach.

The location was lovely but wouldn’t suit everyone. Getting to town involves a very splashy scramble over rocks which, though we loved it, would not work for the elderly or those wishing to stay dry! The only alternative is taxis to town. There is no fitness centre as described, but just one lifting bar outside the restaurant. The restaurant experience was mixed. We had one delicious meal but another quite disastrous - we waited a long time to be served only to be told there was very little available from the menu.

Such a cool hotel and lovely family who own and run it. They super kind to us and helped us out with questions and when we needed things Very peaceful location, gorgeous little cat who befriended us and a beautiful pool The breakfast was outstanding and I wouldn't hesitate to go back

We had a couple of mornings when we were woken up by the staff starting to get the hotel ready - it's a very echoey place but it wasn't a huge issue - I think we just weren't on the right time zone yet after a lot of travelling (though it was usually before 7am) Other than that nothing - be prepared for a walk to the main road for taxis etc, but we liked it as it gave us chance to see more nature (wild iguana!!) And see the stars if we were walking home at night

Perfect, calm stay

Beautiful Place, the Design of the different rooms is super interesting. the Food is amazing, we stayed for dinner for all three nights. Water is for free, the rest of the drinks in the open fridge have a very reasonable price tag. The breakfast is very tasty as well. you get to a very peaceful beach, but the waves and the current are too strong for swimming. Therefore, the pool is a plus! the staff is super friendly and helped us with a Taxi to our next accomodation und Mazunte. we werd very happy here! the Location is a bit away from the buzzy center, exactly what we wanted - but you Need a taxi or scooter to her around, or you stay in the hotel all the time.
