I stayed at Casa Mava with 3 friends. We stayed in the two bedroom apartment. We had a great experience at the property. The staff was extremely accommodating, very helpful, and very friendly. We also visited the associated cafe next door and found the staff there great as well. The property and apartment was beautiful and well appointed with everything we needed. They thoroughly cleaned everyday although you could opt out if you did not need your room cleaned. We got lots of use out of our private plunge pool as well as the rooftop pool and lounge area. Beds and pillows were quite comfortable. The location was great as well. We were able to easily walk to La Punta and Zicatela and the beach was only 2 blocks away. I would return to the property and would highly recommend it to others.

My partner and I stayed here for 5 nights for our honeymoon and we had high hopes based off of reading other reviews, but Casa Mava truly exceeded our expectations. We did not want to leave. Everything was incredible and it's clear that this place is a labour of love. Even before we arrived, the staff all went above and beyond; sending recommendations on WhatsApp (which were great - local knowledge is always best!). Everyone was so helpful, friendly and they left some really thoughtful touches in the room for our honeymoon. We stayed in the villa with a private pool and having our own pool to go for a dip and to cool down in was so great. Honestly, it was a haven to come back to the villa after exploring in the heat. The villa itself was very spacious, especially compared to a lot of the other hotels we were looking into. It had a large and comfy bed, balcony, full kitchen, and the amenities were so thoughtful (local coffee, beach chairs and a beach umbrella, and filtered water jugs) - all very appreciated. The rooftop pool was also lovely for when we were looking to soak up the sun. Excellent location - steps from the beach, quiet, and a close walk to all of the shops, restaurants and bars. The hotel recently opened up a restaurant next door which is convenient for morning coffee/juices and breakfast. If we come back to Puerto Escondido, which I hope we do, we'd 100% stay here again. I can't recommend it enough to others! We loved our time here at Casa Mava.
