Such a memorable time in Puerto and hotel was a big part of it!

Love the design of the hotel

There is an open air rave next to the hotel that plays LOUD music all night long. Would have been miserable if I stayed there more than one night. Would not recommend solely based on the noise situation.

Too noisy because of disco/club across the street!

This property has so much potential -- the grounds are very nice, the pool is big and well-maintained, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Most of the staff are kind and helpful. The hotel is also located at a convenient spot on Zicatela beach. However, there are several issues -- some within the hotel's control, others without -- that made staying here less than an ideal or relaxing experience.

The biggest problem at this hotel is noise. There is a big disco/club right across the street, Bestia, that plays deafening electronic dance music until 3-4 a.m. I stayed Fri-Wed, and the only nights that were quiet were Monday and Tuesday. The hotel has a sign up at the reception (Spanish only) letting guests know about the noise in case they want to find another place to stay, but you can't imagine how loud it is without experiencing it. I was at the top of the complex, wore earplugs, and was still unable to sleep. I would never stay here again for this reason alone. According to hotel staff, it is a problem with all hotels along the main road because there are no noise ordinances in place. Other issues: The basic breakfast was so bad that I stopped taking it after the second morning (e.g., the coffee was terrible and the second day everything was so over-salted I could not finish it). On my arrival, the reception could not find the key for my room, so they put me in a different room. The person at reception tried to convince me that it was the same type of room, but the pictures on the Booking.com reservation showed otherwise. I was moved to the room I reserved the next day, but the hotel should simply have apologized and refunded the difference rather than trying to convince me that this smaller room was the same.

Location was probably the best part of the stay.

Staff was okay. No true complaints. They just never seemed to be available, especially in the front desk. Also there are no irons or hair dryers in the rooms. You can borrow them but return after use.

Lovely gardens, ocean view from your balcony, right across the road from the beach. Beautiful pool. Many restaurants and stores close by. Good breakfast included

Mixed feelings.

Everything was fine when we first moved in. We paid extra for a front room overlooking the beach with a balcony. The room, matress and bath were fine, but the furnishings were old, tired, and badly in need of replacement. Scuffed, scratched, sticky. THE BIG PROBLEM started at 830pm when the disco across the street cranked up. INCREDIBLY LOUD. IMPOSSIBLE TO SLEEP! DO NOT BOOK A ROOM NEAR THE FRONT! They moved us to a room on the 4th floor towards the back. It was better but you will still hear the damn disco until 3am.

No TV in the room and to may stairs to the room 3 levels no elevator. (you walk on the outside and in rain its not the best solution with all this gangways stairs etc... Its a very old building and the rooms has nearly no animates.

The ocean view was gorgeous! Room was spacious, comfortable, clean!!! The staff was very friendly, and had security at the gate so no one could just walk in.

The WiFi was the only issue I had there, but then again I was there to enjoy the beach and area. Plenty of things to do to keep you entertained when WiFi was out.

Great to spend time at pool with kids

We were glad that there was a private parking lot as we rented a car. We enjoyed a lot the pool and balcony of our room with a great sea view. Aircon on the room was also great to cool off.

The breakfast offer was very limited - you could basically choose either scrambled or fried sunny side eggs with black beans, which was a bit boring after day 2.

Great location and rooms were clean

Bed was really uncomfortable and the person who checked me in threw a fit and made it a big deal when we needed to change rooms because there were no elevators and my mom and aunt couldn't make it up the stairs to the 5th floor. Also their restaurant was under construction so we were just able to get an "American" breakfast nothing else.

the room was great, with a straight view from the balcony to the ocean. however being so close to the bars and clubs it was quite loud at night from thursday to sunday. the pool is gorgeous and always at perfect tempature. although very little staff spoke english, we were in mexico so it's expected!

the shower wasn't great and was difficult to use due to lack of pressure and not great shower heads. our toilet didn't flush properly but it's a minor inconvenience. if you plan on keeping your room cold just note that the blankets are very thin and not very comfortable.

Amazing views and chill vibes!

The view and ambiance!! we had the best view, our room was on the last floor, lots of stairs but the view was worth it. The hotel is very comfortable, our room was very spacious and clean, had a mini fridge which was not common in any of the other hotels we stayed in Oaxaca. The staff was friendly. The location was absolutely perfect! right across from the beach and in the middle of a lot of nice restaurants and shops.

The location was very good, close to many restaurants. The wifi was very good. The swimming pool was rather good.

The hotel needs modernisation, it is clear that it has not been giving maintenance in a while. There was no tv in the room. The breakfast was poor (always the sale and in limited quantities) and the service far too slow. In general the staff needs some training in hotel management. The room was not ready at 15h when check-in started.

Large room with balcony and great view. Old Mexican style design. Lots of greenery. Breakfast was adequate.Great shower and location.Had a fridge and a little kitchen area. Staff tried to help with the internet and were friendly.

Internet was almost non-existant. I'd read it had problems but didn't realise how bad it was. What's worse is those comments were from a year ago, and still the internet is poor. Management needs to invest in internet upgrade and to upgrade some of the balcony furniture. In this day and age, workable internet should be a given. Also my room had a little kitchen space but had no cooking facilities at all, nor any crockery or cutlery. It was a completely wasted space. The price was quite high and the property has such potential, but it's not really being reached.
