Relaxing.

it is a beautiful property well located to the market which has fantastic eating and shopping opportunities. The beach is fantastic but not swimmable due to dangerous rip-tides. The staff were very accommodating and the unit was satisfactory albeit a little run down and poorly stocked.

Water could have been provided and the kitchen could have been better stocked. The chairs for lounging on the patios were insufficient as well.

Great location - steps from the beach and Tamarindos is a much quieter area, but still a 20 min walk or 5 min drive to La Punta for the shops/restaurants/night life :)

I generally do not write negative reviews but I feel the need to do so here - I want to recognize this is probably not the staff’s fault but the management - unfortunately I never actually saw a mgr/supervisor to discuss. From the very first interaction, the experience was disappointing. When I reached out via WhatsApp, the “manager” (whom I never saw in person) was unhelpful in guiding me on which room to book and told me to “figure it out” since all the information was on Booking. I relied on the photos there, which turned out to be inaccurate, and booked a more expensive room based on the promised style and view. When we arrived, the room did not match the photos at all. We were told it was Booking’s fault, and no upgrade, refund, or solution was offered. When we asked to change rooms, we were told no and given no alternatives or apology. The property itself was in poor condition, under construction, and not clean. It does not look like the photos. There was dried food on the rugs, hair in two separate showers, a stained couch, black mold behind the kitchen sink, scratched and burned pans, and cheap plastic dishes. The staff were generally unhelpful, and the policies felt unwelcoming. We weren’t allowed to charge coffee to the room despite staying a week, were charged different prices for the same coffee on different days, and had to leave a license as a deposit for old pool towels. We also asked for simple local recommendations (laundry, yoga, cafés) and received no assistance. In addition, bright neon pool lights stayed on all night, and with no curtains on some windows, it was impossible to block out the light.

More of a glorified Hostel vs a Hotel

The location is good. But there's not much in the immediate area/walking distance of the hotel. You have to take a car everywhere. Parking is easy on the street in front of the hotel.

I will start by saying they "Butik Stays" that owns the hotel supposedly offers personalized service and recommendations for your stay in Puerto Escondido. None of this is true. I contacted the hotel a week before arrival to ask for recommendations and never heard back. The people working there are nice, but overworked. The hotel receptionist was also the concierge, pool bartender, cook and bell hop for luggage. The design of the hotel is nice but the execution is not. Supposedly it's been open for less than a year, but things are already run down. It looks like the quality of construction was poor. Unfortunately, I didn't take photos but I should have. There was a gaping hole on the doorframe to our room. The door itself felt like it was made of plastic. The sinks were moldy (they used rocks in the large sinks as a design element but I think it was to cover the mold). The rooms are comfortable and the air conditioning worked, and I liked the ceiling fans. But the hotel looks unfinished in parts. There are exposed tubes, our WiFi didn't work (even though they tried a few times to try and fix it) and I had no hot water in my shower for my 4 day stay. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Perfect

We were supposed to stay for a few days, but extended it to 9 days because we loved Casa Leah! The location is perfect, you're not in the middle of the partyarea, but if that's what you like, it's only a walk away. Aswell for restaurants. The apartments were very clean and spacious, with a beautiful seaview! The walk to the beach is 1 minute, which is a luxury and the area is very quiet. The staff is also very friendly and helpfull. We would definitely stay again at Casa Leah and would recommend it to everyone!

A poorly managed property with weak service and missing basics, not reflective of its high rating or price.

The bed was comfortable. Other than that, very little matched the expectations created by the listing and its high rating.

This property does not meet the standards suggested by its rating. Many basic hospitality elements are missing, and the overall operation feels careless. The staff was a major issue. Despite the reservation being made for two guests under two names, service felt disorganized and inattentive. Housekeeping lacked coordination and professionalism, and staff interactions felt unfriendly and disengaged rather than welcoming or service-oriented. Cleanliness was inconsistent, and basic room functionality was surprisingly poor. There were no hooks to hang towels, and there was no proper toilet paper holder — the toilet paper was simply placed on top of the toilet. These are basic details that should never be missing, especially at this price point. The internet is advertised as high-speed, but in reality it barely works. While they have Starlink, it only functions in the reception area. In the rooms, the connection is extremely weak or nonexistent due to poor network setup. Reliable internet is not optional anymore, and charging for something that does not work is unacceptable. Overall, the stay felt poorly managed, with a lack of attention to fundamentals. The issues were not minor inconveniences but repeated failures in service, infrastructure, and basic guest comfort. For the price charged, the experience was far below expectations and certainly does not align with the high rating shown on Booking.

The bed is comfortable and allows for decent rest. Beyond that, the property has visual potential, but it is completely undermined by poor operation, maintenance, and service.

The overall experience felt dirty, neglected, and poorly managed. The room never felt properly clean, the pool constantly felt dirty, and there was a strong, unpleasant sulfur and chlorine smell that made using it uncomfortable. Towels were consistently stained, damp, and frankly unpleasant to use. The hotel advertises pools and our room included a “private pool,” but these are actually large jacuzzis, not real pools. They are not heated, which makes them unusable at night. For the price charged, heated pools should be a basic expectation. Cleanliness and housekeeping were a serious issue. Housekeeping entered the bathroom without warning or proper coordination while it was occupied, and there was no apology or acknowledgment afterward. Cleaning standards were poor overall, and attention to guest privacy was lacking. The staff attitude was also disappointing. Interactions often felt unfriendly and disengaged, with little sense of service or ownership. Basic items were repeatedly missing. For example, on two different days the pool bar did not have Clamato, and there was no effort to solve it. These are basic supplies that any well-run hotel would simply restock immediately. The internet is falsely advertised as “high-speed.” While they have Starlink, it only works in reception. In the rooms, the signal is almost nonexistent due to a poorly designed network with insufficient routers or repeaters. You are charged for a service that does not work. The room itself lacked basic functionality. There was nowhere to properly hang towels or even place toilet paper correctly, which resulted in everything feeling improvised, cluttered, and uncomfortable. These are fundamental details that should never be missing at this price point. Overall, this feels like a property designed to look good online but operated by people who do not understand hospitality. The lack of basics, poor cleanliness, weak service mindset, and operational failures made the stay genuinely...

Lovely !!

I loved Casa Leah, it was beautiful! The staff were so nice and welcoming, and they explained everything clearly. They also made some great drinks and had really good recommendations. The rooms were spacious!!

The rooms were lovely! , but there were a few things I wish they had. My room was #12, and I felt like it needed a bit more lighting, and a full-size mirror would have been great. Another thing is that the pools seemed to have too much bleach. The inside of my swimsuit is cotton, and it actually got bleached by the pool water, which has never happened to me before. The smell of the chlorine was also quite strong, so I think the pool maintenance might need a little adjustment. Besides those small issues, it was an amazing stay! I would definitely come back.

Great design, bad roach problem and worse internet

Great room design and pretty pool area.

Roaches everywhere outside (not in the room though) Location is remote and a walk to Punta or Zicatela so very inconvenient unless you just stay on the property. No ability to pay or do early check-in even though the room was cleaned and empty and I was sitting outside of it. Staff told me it I had to wait (with roaches crawling around me) until 15 min before. Absolutely terrible internet. Digital nomads stay away. They have starlink but split it between staff and guests and the guest internet was unusable for the majority of my stay. It was so bad I had to pay double and book elsewhere. They didn’t have the issue there. Wasn’t able to cancel my existing reservation but I ate the cost to stay elsewhere. I’ve never done this before. There are similar quality places for similar prices in better locations.

Stunning Property, room for improvement in service

We stayed in the penthouse and another apartment on the first floor with a group of friends. The decor is beautiful, stylish, modern, and full of plants. The spaces were clean, spacious, and the view from the balcony was gorgeous. We especially loved the hammock and the overall peaceful vibe of the property.

That said, for the price (we paid over $1,000 for 3 nights for two units), we expected a bit more value in terms of amenities and service. There was a full kitchen but no coffee maker, coffee, or complimentary drinking water, and we had to purchase everything separately at the bar at a higher price. We were also asked to leave our ID to borrow beach towels, which felt inconvenient given we needed our IDs while out. We requested a late checkout and still had to pay extra, which was disappointing considering we booked the most premium accommodation. The main beach is not very close, so we needed taxis multiple times a day. Overall, it's a beautiful property and we enjoyed our stay, but for the price, I think the service and amenities could be improved.

A lovey chic hotel with a great pool and nice rooms, close to the beach.

Decor in the rooms was really nice, bed was massive and super comfy. The pool area was great to sit and spent a day,

Kitchen was not properly equipped. Mostly plastic crockery and not a single bowl provided. Outside of that, the drinks are nice but pretty expensive, almost on par with some of the high end cocktail bars in Puerto Escondido..

It was very peaceful and comfortable, but still close to everything if we wanted to go out.

We loved that the place looks exactly like the pictures at booking, we loved the location, the view, we appreciated a lot the private pool and we loved the architecture of the hotel, we loved it.

There was not enough pressure in the shower, the pool at the middle was kind of dirty, the water looked dark than the others. The only thing I didn’t like is that we needed to keep asking to get toilet paper 😅 there should be enough in the room and the cleaning girl should’ve refilled that. Other than that we loved everything.

Bastante cómoda

Está muy bonito, cuenta con todo lo esencial y si ocupas más cosas como licuadora, te la prestan sin problema. El hotel está atrás del mercado, máximo 10 minutos caminando y está muy rico comer ahí, barato y tiene vista al mar, sin duda recomiendo comer ahí. Los de recepción son muy amables y están al pendiente. Tienen tours y renta de motos por parte del hotel. Se encuentra a 15 minutos caminando y menos de 5 en moto el Oxxo de zicatela, así como beach clubs y antros.

El internet es fatal, no sirve :( La habitación que teníamos no tenía cortina que sale al pasillo, era muy incómodo debido a que los extranjeros suelen estar muy altos y si se alcanza a ver, si un hombre de estatura promedio alza las puntas también alcanza a ver.

Wirklich toll ist das Geld auf jeden Fall wert

Es war wirklich so gut gelegen richtig freundliche Leute. So viel Platz in den Zimmern. Es war perfekt um runterzukommen und den Urlaub zu genießen wir sogar nochmal zurück gekommen und außerdem kann man sehr gut selber kochen weil das Apartment eine große Küche hat.

Wiederholungsgefahr!

Alles war perfekt. Die Lage, die Zimmer, die Ruhe. Ein wunders schönes Boutique-Hotel. 200 m vom Strand entfernt. Die Zimmer sind groß und geräumig, mit Klimaanlagen und Ventilatoren (sogar auf dem Balkon). Ich habe die Lage etwas Abseits von Punta Zicatela extra gewählt, man kann gemütlich 15-20 min spazieren gehen und ist dann mittendrin im Trubel, mit Restaurants, Cafés, Bars und Beach Clubs. Oder man läuft 5 Minuten in die andere Richtung und ist an der Playa. Zicatela. Die Rezeption ist 24/7 besetzt, man findet immer einen Ansprechpartner oder kann sich mal eben einen Drink oder Wasser mit aufs Zimmer nehmen. Alle sind äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit gewesen. Ein Taxi vom Airport braucht ca. 15 min und kostet 250-300 MXN. Zurück hat es länger gedauert da Rushhour war. Von den Zimmern mit Meerblick kann man direkt auf den Pazifik schauen und man hört die Wellen beim Einschlafen. Für die Sonnenuntergänge würde ich aber trotzdem wie alle direkt an den Strand gehen. Selten so einen entspannten Ort erlebt, ich komme gerne wieder.

Da ich remote arbeite, wäre mein einziger Knackpunkt das Internet. Das war echt nicht zum Arbeiten geeignet. Selbst mit meiner mexikanischen SIM-Karte hatte ich kaum Empfang. Ich würde ggf. Starlink empfehlen oder wirklich nur reinen Urlaub machen und abschalten.

Yo tengo un padecimiento llamado neurosis e impulsividad en los lóbulos frontales. Tuve una discusión con mi pareja y por alguna cuestión me entró un episodio, por lo cual es bastante escandaloso y claramente entendemos molesto para los demás. La situación aquí es que ni siquiera fueron para apercibirnos de las molestias que ocasionábamos, pues me estaban atendiendo; decidí salir y en ese momento el personal tomo la decisión de abordar a mi mujer y decirle que nos fueramos. Ellos afirman que es por fumar cigarro dentro de las instalaciones, pero es completamente falso. De ser cierto hubieran cobrado la penalización de 3 mil pesos.

El lugar era muy bonito, el personal siempre atento y amable, nos ayudaron siempre con recomendaciones, dudas y reservar una noche más 😊 Nuestro loft era amplio, siempre lo mantenían limpio y teníamos una pequeña piscina privada. Todo nos encantó.

Gran estancia!

Nos encanto nuestra estancia en Casa Leah. La habitación/departamento es súper amplia y cómoda! La ubicación es como entre Zicatela y La Punta en una zona tranquila. Tiene opciones de restaurantes relativamente cerca. Puedes rentar coche o scooter para moverte fácilmente. Staff muy amable!

Todo el lugar es muy bonito en sí, las camas súper cómodas, las almohadas. Te hacen no extrañar la comodidad del hogar La ubicación, excelente y fácil de acceder. Es un quiero y no puedo

Por las fotos parecía bonito, y eso es exactamente su mejor don. Es espacioso y tiene aire acondicionado. En barra sirven buenos cócteles. Tienen algunos básicos de cocina. Es tranquilo por las noches.

Aposté por el lugar porque trabajo remoto y dice internet de alta velocidad. No es cierto. Tienen varias redes pero de alta velocidad nada, y no tienen conexión por ethernet. Es un poco cutre que para el precio que dobla propiedades aledañas no pongan ni café o té, tampoco ni un botellín de agua de cortesía. Tienen unas piscinas bonitas que parecían jacuzzis pero no, temperatura ambiente, más bien fría. Tampoco tienen recepción así que nada de recibir paquetes. El agua de la ducha está caliente solo a veces. Parece de lujo, solo lo parece.

Bella struttura in posizione buona a due passi dal mare, assolutamente consigliata.

Struttura molto bella. Alloggi confortevoli, aria condizionata e comfort del letto hanno contribuito fortemente al giudizio positivo. Anche l’amaca e la piscinetta privata sono state molto ben gradite. Alcune piccole pecche sulle quali possono rimediare: - il divanetto della piscina era sfondato e non si poteva utilizzare, che peccato. - la scaletta in legno per stendere i vestiti non era adatta a tale uso e ha macchiato tutti i capi chiari di marrone. - nella doccia al piano di sopra non c’era tenda alla finestra e i vicini potevano vederci mentre ci lavavamo. - nella stanza di sopra non c’era luce, è stato molto molto difficile fare i bagagli e prepararsi soprattutto la sera e la mattina presto, ma anche nelle ore in cui per avere un po’ di privacy chiudevamo le tende. - gli asciugamani erano spesso macchiati nonostante certamente fossero stati lavati. Queste sono solo piccole accortezze che speriamo aiutino la struttura a migliorare ulteriormente. Comunque bella e con ottima posizione. Grazie per averci fatto depositare i bagagli in anticipo.

- il divanetto della piscina era sfondato e non si poteva utilizzare, che peccato. - la scaletta in legno per stendere i vestiti non era adatta a tale uso e ha macchiato tutti i capi chiari di marrone. - nella doccia al piano di sopra non c’era tenda alla finestra e i vicini potevano vederci mentre ci lavavamo. - nella stanza di sopra non c’era luce, è stato molto molto difficile fare i bagagli e prepararsi soprattutto la sera e la mattina presto, ma anche nelle ore in cui per avere un po’ di privacy chiudevamo le tende. - gli asciugamani erano spesso macchiati nonostante certamente fossero stati lavati.
