A nice spot to end our vacation

Great location and beautiful grounds Super nice pool and a pretty bay with good snorkelling

We have been staying at more budget hotels exploring this coast, but decided to splurge a bit at the end of our holiday. It’s a higher end hotel for the area with specious rooms, but a bit tired and in need of a bit of room upgrading (for the price) but a good experience overall The way I see it- you’re here for the outdoors We had a kitchen- but in terms of supplies there was one fry pan and a plastic serving spoon (and bathroom glasses)

Overpriced and average food quality so ate elsewhere Lack of attention to detail , no towels upon arrival, no pool towel attendant. Had to walk to the main reception to ask for service. No coffee facilities room Hotel looks tired and needs refurbishing.

Great beach and view...rooms are rundown

The common areas are stylish. The beach is nice and not crowded, it seems only hotel guests use it.The view from our room.

The rooms are in desperate need of renovation. There are some airbnbs in the complex that have been renovated. I would book one of those next time..They have small kitchens and nicer furniture.

Beautiful resort, just needs some better management.

The location and the grounds were beautiful. The view from our room was amazing. The private bay and beach were beautiful and we enjoyed swimming and snorkelling in the ocean. The people working there were lovely.

We were given a miscommunication about breakfast and when we spoke to the manager she was very dismissive and rude. The resort took no responsibility. Luckily Booking.com did help us out. Like others have said the rooms are tiered and need a refresh. The food is overpriced. We ate in the little development 10 minute walk away or took a taxi to Crucecita. Both of these had very good options.

Beautiful property but ...

Location on the beach was perfect. The area and grounds were beautiful. We had a private pool that faced the pool and beach. We spent 3 to 4 hours a day in that pool. It was one of the best experiences.

Hotel service was lacking. Our room would get cleaned but new towels weren't left. We never did get beach towels even after requesting twice. There is only one restaurant open at a time. You are restricted to a buffet for breakfast and dinner and it's expensive. We ended up walking a short distance down the road for breakfast which was very good. There is nothing to do in the evening. The kayaks rentals were ridiculously expensive.

Stay away from this hotel

I would not recommend this hotel The only nice thing about this property is the beach, but if you need a beach tower our simply out of luck to put it politely.

When you check in at the front desk and you are told your room is ready, you would think that bath towels would be part of the "the room is ready" part. We had to call and ask for bath towels. A few days into our stay, the towels were removed from the bathroom but the replacement was not provided. After a conversation with housekeeping manager, you would think that the next time the towers were removed, the replacement towels would be provided. No such luck. The last few days we put a "do not disturb" sign just so we actually have a towel at the end of the day at the beach. The service is beyond slow, much worse then in other Camino Real hotels that we stayed at properties

Very nice efficient helpful friendly staff. Beautiful facility with huge well maintained pool. Big beach not busy. A couple of nearby very good restaurants easy to walk to. Private pool with room very nice. Pretty quiet hotel. Room very nice, great shower,AC and internet

Limited dining options. Didn’t do expensive all inclusive as we don’t drink or eat enough to make it worthwhile but limited options nearby without a cab ride.

Willing to give it another try

Your employees were so wonderful and gracious. The grounds are breathtaking. The food options were top tier. Fresh and full of flavor. Looked forward to your pizzas in the earth grill! Maybe next time. When you walk in, you are immediately overwhelmed by the lush foliage surrounding you. The ocean views were unreal. The photos don't do it justice. You will love this hotel.

With no reflection on employees, our room had a broken ac and lounge chair. We had no ac for 24 hours. Luz was kind enough to move us to another room. Packing again was exhausting, but necessary. I was told more than once that certain options of food were not available because of low occupancy. Disheartening to say the least. We were celebrating our 40th and planned a pizza night on the beach, but told it was cancelled due to low attendance occupancy in the hotel.

Location was perfect. Views are beautiful. Room is a good size. Lots of water pressure.

Would be nice to include breakfast in the price. Pool towels aren’t available after 7pm even though it’s posted they’re available until 8pm. Tiki bar closes to early! When I visited 2 years ago upon check in they served you with a glass of Jamaica water. That doesn’t happen now.

Beautiful property with great staff!

Convent location, great staff, comfortable beds, nice size rooms, great pools, lounge chairs on the beach with the same poolside bar service, almost every room had a great view of the beach and pool, beautiful property!

AC didn’t work in our first room so we had to move. 2nd room worked, but it was loud and you could tell it needed a tune-up. Fan also squeaked which was annoying. No breakfast option outside of the restaurant buffet ($25 usd per person), or room service. Coffee shop was great, but opens at 9 am and doesn’t serve any breakfast (no pastries, etc.) and no coffee option in the room.

Beautiful hotel with great atmosphere and staff, but overpriced dining and minor maintenance issues

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel. It has a wonderful tropical atmosphere and striking architecture that immediately makes you feel like you're on holiday. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Some of the facilities could use better maintenance. For instance, we noticed a few loose tiles in the swimming pool. Not what you'd expect from a five-star hotel. The biggest letdown was the price/quality ratio of the hotel restaurants. The food was average, but the prices were very high.

The hotel is very old, the service is really slow, they didn´t gave us the rooms they offered, it was kind of dissapointing because we expected a complete different experience. They treat you different if you booked whith booking than directely.

nice and tranquil

the pool were nice and big. the beach it was quite and beautiful. the personal it was very nice and attentive. the hotel is very beautiful. The rooms have a nice view and they are big. The gym has good equipment.

The food in the restaurants weren't great. Also they need more personal in the bar that is at the pool and they need to start the service early and have ore towels more the pool. The rooms weren't clean early some days they were clean until late.

Beautiful location, service could be improved.

The hotel is on a beautiful beach, very easy to get to from the airport. The bell boys are wonderful and extremely helpful with luggage and arrange transport to other locations.

When I arrived I was ill and my luggage hadn't arrived. I didn't get much help from the staff. When I asked if they could provide slippers or anything to help they weren't very forthcoming. I had to go the next day to reception to pick up slippers despite calling and being told they were being delivered to my room. The same thing happened with towels - although there is a card in the room saying sheets and towels are changed daily unless requested otherwise, mine were not changed once. I had to ask for fresh towels on the penultimate day (after a week) and again they weren't delivered until I had to follow up. Also I had emailed the hotel months before to notify them I was vegan so they could ensure there were some options. There was hardly anything. A sandwich on the lunch menu that was "vegan" actually had cheese in it. When it arrived without cheese upon my request, it was some spinach leaves and 2 pieces of carrot in a sandwich which wasn't cheap either. I ordered crudités and guacamole however the crudités were brought out 30 minutes after the guacamole. On the last day, I went down to the beach in the morning and saw that glasses and food from the night before hadn't been cleaned from the loungers and birds were eating the leftovers.

Nice peaceful quiet hotel with a lovely pool and close to the beach.

We liked the decor and the layout, the pool, how close to the beach it was and how quiet the resort is. The breakfast was really delicious.

We booked a room with a pool however the pool was extremely dirty and green so we were unable to use it. We requested it was cleaned numerous times (a few other friends staying at the hotel had the same issue) however ours wasn’t rectified til we were checking out, so we were quite disappointed. The manager on duty did refund our breakfast for the inconvenience which was something, however it was a real shame.

This hotel is in a great location on a quiet beach. We would definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed this property very much, especially the very attentive staff…everyone was friendly and you got the sense that they really cared that you enjoying your vacation there!

Our room at the end of the complex was in a quiet location but could use some updating. The lounge chair in our room had torn underlining visible and was worn. It was spacious however. The view to the left overlooked a work yard but had a great view of the ocean as well.
