Exceptional accommodations and the food is exceptional

The host was wonderful and made us feel at home. The food was some of the best on our 3 week hike of the Eifelsteig. Great location and the room was wonderful.

Everything was great. There was nothing I would ask to improve. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is in the area.

Room with an amazing view

This is such a great hotel! Old fashioned which I usually avoid but going by the reviews and the price I decided to give it a go. The staff are friendly, especially Sabine/Sabina (not sure which it was) who helped us with some luggage up to the second floor. She speaks pretty good English which helped as we are not German speakers and what she didn't know we were able to understand. Room was clean and comfortable with amazing views of the forest, sitting out on the balcony with a drink and birdsong all around was fantastic. Shower quite tiny and sink is in bedroom. We had a meal out on the terrace and the breakfast was good. I loved it but if you don't enjoy driving on slightly mountainous roads or being high up on a balcony then maybe don't book it (as my husband would unfortunately say..)

Pleasant

Perfect location, some lovely walks to be made from the doorstep. They serve adequate food, mainly deepfried but does the job after a proper walk. Awesome views from the beer garden and room's balcony. Breakfast selection is fine for bread and cereals, no fresh fruit.

Although the owners are really nice and sweet people who work really hard, I couldn't help to feel maintenance of a building this age and size, and running the hotel is just too much for such a small team. The whole building feels tired, smells faintly like wet dog and generally is in need of a lot of TLC. Although the towels and bedding were clean, you could see they were old. The room, like the rest of the hotel, is very old fashioned with multiple carpets over carpets, creaky floors and an even noisier bed. There was some mold on the carpet near the balcony door and a lot of (dead) bugs, also in the dining room.

Beautiful location in the forest with a token castle on the property. Clean comfortable rooms. Very quaint. Friendly staff.

Very restrictive times for breakfast and dinner. Last dinner opportunity was at 6 pm, which was far too early for Europe! And they serve breakfast between 8 and 9 only.

A peaceful location

I liked the place: the hotel is close to an ancient castle, ruined during a war in the XVIII century, surrounded by the woods. It's a very peaceful location, ideal for a break (like we did) during a long trip. The hotel is managed and owned by the same family since three centuries. We appreciated the dinner (super schnitzel with french fries and mixed salad) and breakfast. The room (very clean) reflects the age of the structure, but in the end we slept well.

Fantastic location. Really good old fashioned German Gasthof. Lots of character and its own castle! Good half board option and very nice dinner. This is the second time we have stayed here.

Perfect stay away from the daily stress

Firm beds, very good. The view is the castle and the woods, it was perfect. Very quiet room. Breakfast and evening dinner is perfect, the staff is very friendly. Price quality is very good. It is a perfect place to destress, like a retreat away from luxury and get back to basics. To reset your brain. Next to the hotel, you can walk the Romain Trail.

The rooms were outdated but, everything was very clean. Fits perfect for a retreat. For us it was fine.

Voor de 2x hier gelogeerd, eigenaars super vriendelijk. Prachtig uitzicht. We hebben wildzwijn goulash gegeten dit was super lekker en zeker een aanrader. Uitgebreid ontbijt waar alles aanwezig was. Wij komen nog terug !!

Sehr freundliche Begrüßung. Service ein Traum. Trotzdem die Küche schon zu war, bei unserer Anreise am Freitag, gab es noch eine Kleinigkeit. Und dann die hausgemachten Kuchen.... mmmmhh Das Abendessen am Samstag war ein Traum. Richtig Hausmannskost. Sehr sehr 😋

Man muss es mögen und für die junge Generation ist die Unterkunft nichts.

Das Frühstück war lecker. Von der Unterkunft ging direkt der Römerpfad los und man konnte von da zum wandern starten, was sehr schön war, so sind wir noch am gleichen Tag nach Ankunft los. Von der Unterkunft hat man einen schönen Ausblick ins grüne.

Sonst muss ich sagen war ich leider sehr enttäuscht, die Zimmer sehr karg eingerichtet. Für große Menschen sind die Betten leider gar nix, mein Freund ist knapp 1,90 m. Er konnte sich nicht ausstrecken. Der Fernseher war für die Entfernung vom Bett zu TV viel zu weit, man bräuchte ein Fernglas um was zu erkennen. Dann noch ungünstig platziert hinter einem Balken! Die Gastgeberin war bei Ankunft etwas plump, hatte sich dann am nächsten Tag gelegt. Der Weg bis da hoch war scho nicht ohne. Durch das Hochwasser verständlich. Sonst isses sehr in die Jahre gekommen.

Einzigartiges Hotel in idyllischer Lage

Das Hotel Burg-Ramstein ist etwas ganz Besonderes: Die ruhige und sehr idyllische Lage mit direktem Blick auf die Ruine ist perfekt zum Entspannen und Wandern. Nach Trier ist es auch nicht weit. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr mystisch und durch die liebevolle Gestaltung der Zimmer und der anderen Räumlichkeiten fühlt man sich in eine andere Zeit versetzt. Die Zimmer bzw. die Ausstattung der Räumlichkeiten ist zwar älter, aber super sauber und das macht den Charme dieses Hotels aus. Wer ein 5 Sterne Resort haben will, der sollte sich vorher anschauen, wo das Hotel liegt und wie es gestaltet ist! Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und man hat alles dort gehabt, was man für einen Aufenthalt benötigte. Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und frisch. Die gekochten Eier und das Rührei waren ausgezeichnet. Es hat an nichts gefehlt. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Durch die persönliche Atmosphäre hat man sich direkt wie "zu Hause" gefühlt. Wer einen besonderen Aufenthalt in der Nähe von Trier sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Wir kommen wieder! 🙂

Es gibt nichts! Wer hier etwas zu meckern hat, der sollte sich vorher durchlesen, was das für ein Hotel ist und wo es liegt!

Прекрасный отдых у подножия древней крепости

Потрясающее расположение! В горах у разрушенной древней крепости. Все очень аутентично. Хозяева очень приветливые, как будто к ним в гости приехали. Номер просторный двухкомнатный с балконом, в ресторане вкусный ужин, особенно форель. И рислинг!

Единственное, что немного напрягло. Вечером в районе 20.30 захотелось взять кипятка, чтобы попить в номере чай, но внизу уже все было выключено, хозяева ушли спать. Но эту мелочь можно пережить.

Slecht, we gaan er nooit meer naartoe

Het ontbijt was goed maar het is nooit een hotel restaurant dat om 20.00uur sluit en niks meer te drinken krijgt en ontbijt maar van 8u tot 9 u Heb ik nog nooit meegemaakt en slechte weg er naartoe. Zeer ontevreden!!!!!!

Alles op het ontbijt na , vies balkonnetje kleine douche vooral als je langer dan 1mtr80 bent. De weg er naartoe vooral laatste stuk slechte weg.

Leuk verblijf, prettige bediening en goed (verzorgd) eten.

De eigenaresse heeft echt haar best gedaan het ons (6 personen) naar de zin te maken. Fijne ontvangst, goed ontbijt, zeer goed (schnitzel) diner. Aanrijden was via een lange en smalle weg. De kamers zijn groot en zeker gedateerd, maar dat heeft zijn charme. Ruïne van het kasteel was te bezichtigen, doen. Ook heeft zij de moeite genomen om 2 vergeten spullen na te sturen. Top!
