Good option for a short weekend visit to Trier

Great location next to the city centre, literally at walking distance. Room was spacious and comfortable.

Lovely stay, perfect location.

Emil gave us a wonderful welcome. Shower us where to put our luggage as we were early and wanted to explore the city. Our room. ,511 was spacious. Great to have complimentary teas and coffee. Our room had a bath which was a nice surprise. It was lovely and Christmassy in the lobby. Great choice of beer and wine.

Probably because we were on the top floor, it took a very long time for hot water to come through for the bath. This is my only criticism.

Best Western Hotel Trier City was like the Curate's egg - good in part.

The buffet breakfast was excellent.

The TV in the room did not work at all and a member of staff was unable to remedy the situation. The tea and coffee making facilities in the room were poor - no milk and no tea.

I would like to extend another huge thank you to you, your front desk (Elena, Emie, Federico, and Marvin), breakfast room and cleaning staff for making our trip extremely enjoyable and memorable. I traveled from United States with my brother and my 89-year-old mother. My mother is originally from Trier. Her birthday wish was to visit Trier to see her house that she grew up in, her parents’ grave, her church and a childhood friend and visit the sites in the city center. We stayed in the Best Western several days at the beginning of our trip and several days at the end of our trip. From the moment we checked in to the day we checked out your staff treated us like family. The smiles and daily greetings made a world of difference during our stay. When we returned for the second time to your hotel, the front desk was waiting for our arrival and greeted us with hugs and welcomed us back. The staff had our original rooms waiting for us and made sure that my elderly mother’s bathroom was equipped with a bathtub mat and shower handle. The breakfast room staff were amazing as well. They also remembered us from the first week that we stayed with you and greeted us with smiles and hugs. They remembered my mother’s coffee preference and had it waiting for her every morning. The cleaning girls were amazing as well and addressed our daily needs. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone that will be visiting Trier. The hotel, bedrooms and facility are exceptionally clean. The staff is amazing, friendly, and fun. The hotel is situated next to the cobblestone walkway that leads into the city center restaurants and stores. Parking at the hotel is good and easy. The breakfast was delicious with a variety of options to choose from. The hotel has a bar, pool table, workout room and beautiful indoor and outdoor lounge areas. I cannot wait to come back.

Disappointing, despite the relative high price

The location was ok, close to the city center. The breakfast was acceptable.

The room was disappointing, not similar as shown on your website. No decoration on the walls, dust on the furniture, the heating was not working neither the hair dryer.

Great place to explore Trier from.

Location. Size of room. Comfort. Cleanliness. Price. Staff. Parking- very easy.

I personally find German pillows far too soft. Wife brought her own😄 Loved Trier and this hotel was perfect for our visit. Couldn't initially work out how to dispense the shower gel- but that's just me.

I regularly use booking.com. This is the first time I experienced a problem with a booking.

Location convenient for theatre visits. Varied breakfast buffet. Clean room.

Booking malfunction over booking.com. "2 adults, 0 children for 2 nights", with 2 names typed into the system. Arrival time (with both names) confirmed on day of arrival per email. Upon checking in, the hotel has the booking registered as a single room for one person. A hefty surcharge for the 2nd person was levied, no room change was possible. Quite cramped conditions (very small bathroom). The fault appears to lie with the booking.com system: if you tick "no" to the question "are you the main person booking?" all persons are counted. If you tick "yes", only 1 person seems to be registered. Desk and house personnel seem entirely indifferent.

Good spacious hotel right near the center

We had a large bright room, with large comfortable beds and a bathroom with a tub. Good location right by the Trier shopping street, but on the opposite side of town than the Porta Nigra.

Only thing I could complain about is that the whole room is covered in old looking carpet. But overall not a problem.

Its alright

I liked the location a lot. The bed was comfortable and clean.

The underground parking garage is super tight and I had to go back out. I also did not like the A/C in my room. The sun heated up the room and it got pretty hot.

An excellent location, in the centre. Rooms at the back of the hotel are very quiet. The hotel is clean and the staff are helpful and welcoming.

Attractive location but disappointing details

Good place to stay, from a walkable distance to the city center. Very clean hotel with polite staff.

We have experienced problems with the air heating (quite noisy) and the water heating which was not working properly early in the morning. Besides, in one very busy moment of the day there was only one lift available. These seem to consist in measures to reduce costs, but with bad consequences for the clients.

It seems to we were charged a different rate each day for our rooms on our receipt, increasing by 10 Euros each day for both rooms (mon-wed 3 nights). This did not make sense and we should be reimbursed.

Got there quite late the gentleman on reception was very helpful and well mannered the room was a decent size and warm and clean nice size bathroom with a good shower system
