Great food and wine and friendly staff
The staff are always very friendly, even when something needs to be corrected. :-)

A hidden gem 12 minutes outside of Trier city center.
This entire facility exceeded all of my and my family's expectations. The breakfast was fantastic and the location was very easy to get to and a great surprise with many things to do walking the property. The restaurant was amazing... a great local surprise. The local wine is also amazing!
The rooms do not block sound well, we had a neighbour guest that was very loud on his cellphone throughout the night.

Great hotel for families in the middle of the German countryside
The location of this hotel is wonderful, very peaceful and surrounded by vineyards and farms. My son was particularly excited about the cows and geese on the property. There is also a great playground for kids! The restaurant is great, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We stayed in one of the ground floor rooms, which seems to have been recently renovated so it was very quiet and tidy. A great place to stay for families!
The pillows are very thin and uncomfortable - I would recommend that the hotel adds extra pillows to the rooms.

Good stay.
The hotel manager was very professional and kept his staff accountable. Staff was overall very helpful and carrying. Wine tasting option. Surrounded by nature.
Old school German interior design - but it’s a matter of taste :)

Extremely disappointing!!!!!!!
The scenic location
Not really as advertised apart from the location. Restaurant staff not great. We booked to eat at 8 but said we were just going to have a drink first. Despite seeing our drinks poured, it took 10 minutes for them to be brought out to our table. Had to ask for menus at 8.15 and then it was at least 8.30 before our food order was taken. We saw parties being seated after 8.15 whose orders were taken before ours. Strangely, the establishment didn’t seem to offer any of their own wines on the menu, despite being a vineyard. The room was grubby and dusty in places and the tiles in the bathroom had been badly painted over. The bathroom also smelt rank. Despite it being around 32 degrees the day we arrived, the shutters in the room had not been lowered and therefore we sweltered all night with little to no sleep. The armchair in the room was wrongly situated under the eaves causing me to hang my head when I stood up. However, la piece de resistance was the following morning at breakfast when there were alarming shouts and extreme banging coming from the kitchen for extended periods of time as though a fight was about to start. A lady, who I presume was the owner or manager, eventually came out and apologised for her chef. The whole atmosphere was unfriendly and the restaurant and lobby where the lifts were situated gave off 70’s funeral parlour vibes.

great location would come back.
grounds were lovely, places to sit not just at restaurant tables, proximity to cycle path and hiking paths. Room very quiet even though opposite the water wheel. loads of easy parking, could lock bikes away.
Breakfast, no coffee in pots, no plates to put hot food/meat on. Starters arrived after the mains for evening meal and staff seemed surprised when we said we didn't want them after the main course. However staff were all very friendly, just felt they needed more support and traiining.

A nice hotel with nice surroundings, the room was very small. The restaurant and meals are good.
The hotel surroundings are beautiful with a very nice outdoor seating area for drinking and dining. The breakfast room had plenty of seating and the breakfast was good with lots of variety.
The room we stayed in was very small and basic, the bathroom was tiny with very little room to move. It would of been ok for a one night stay, but for five nights we stopped it got annoying.

A welcomed stay
Excellent location, hotel is being renovated and continues to be a hotel I enjoy staying at - great food and wine on offer - it's always a great stay. I dont know if it's general that hotel prices are going up in Europe hence my score for value for money - but a little bit pricey - once renovated then the price would be palatable. The hotel had live music on one of the nights staying - which was enjoyable and a lot of locals turned up for the evening which was great.
Nothing I didn't like. Apart from price it was a great stay and a welcomed one at that.
