Good place to stay if you want to be able to easily walk and explore the centre of Trier.

Location is excellent, you can find just about anything near the hotel.

Excellent budget option, particularly for touring cyclists

Nice, clean, modern room. Very good shower. 5 minutes walk from the centre of the city. Weekend self-check in was very efficient. Excellent, secure bicycle parking in special room within the main car park.

No real on-site catering facilities may be an issue for some, but there's plenty of dining out options nearby

Valdimar was a warm introduction to the property, ensuring that I was looked after and felt at home. The location was ideal. The bed was comfortable.

There was no air conditioning - which would normally be fine; however there was a heat wave.

Basically, everything was fine except the curtains.

I liked the location, spacious room, wardrobe, and beds. I also enjoyed being very close to the centre, but still on the quiet street without crowds of shouting drunk people. The self-check-in process was super simple and smooth. The stuff communicated very well with me beforehand.

The curatins were too transparent, and it was too light in the room early in the morning. I didn't like the pillows. The ventilation in the bathroom didn't always work. I assume it simply didn't work from 23 o'clock to 6 o'clock. The floor in the bathroom was not cleaned during my 7 days stay there. Couple of times I lacked coffee bags late in the evening, but I don't really complain about that.

Great location, good value for money

Perfect location right in the city centre. We arrived quite late in the evening at a time that the reception was already closed, and we got a really friendly message with all the information we needed to check in to the hotel. Great place to stay for a weekend!

The shower was a little bit small, and there is no airco in the room. Normally that's fine because the windows can be opened, but we stayed at a time that it was very warm outside and in that case some temperature control would have been great.

Great location. Beware international guests.

The location is superb - very central. The street the hotel faces on is pleasant. The room and bathroom are very large. The TV is big and has all the channels.

The hotel may not cater to international guests so well: double beds are actually two single beds. This is awkward for physically close couples as the beds separate in half. Additionally, having keys instead of cards is not as convenient.

Location suited us perfectly for our Christmas market trip. Rooms were clean & functional. Best thing though was that the staff were super friendly & helpful.

Superb

The room was clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful and they have returned to my messages instantly. The bed was comfortable. I didn't heard any noise at night. Location was nice and very close to the Christmas market and Dom.

Heating. Maybe it's because I went there from Lisbon and I'm not used to the cold weathers but the room felt kinda chilly even with heating was at max. Not cold a little bit chilly.(Note that there is a extra heater in the bathroom but I didn't use it much since it said don't run it overnight for safety reasons.)

Convenient option practically in the center

Check-in was super smooth. Very close to center and they have a parking practically in front of the hotel. Clean room and bathroom, I would stay again for a short visit.

Room is basic and rather small, 3rd bed was a sofa-bed (we knew and were ok with that when booking, but I can imagine if can be a problem for others, specially for longer stays)
