Suffocating, misleading, and absolutely not worth the price I honestly don’t understand how this place has such a high score. The room had only one small window, and was hot, humid, and full of stagnant air. I arrived very tired, expecting to rest, but the room felt unbreathable. I tried airing it out, but it didn’t help. At some point I dozed off, only to wake up coughing, panicking, and gasping for air. I had to rush to open the window just to breathe properly. Even worse, people were smoking right outside on the terrace, which is also the access path to the rooms—so the cigarette smell came right in. By the time I noticed, I was already settled and exhausted. I could have asked to change rooms, but I was too drained and instead had to waste time finding another hotel, which was the last thing I needed. Honestly, for the price I paid, this level of discomfort is unacceptable. While I was paying for my room, another guest politely asked about dinner. The owner’s reaction was deeply telling — he responded vaguely, evasively, and only after being asked two or three times, simply saying the restaurant was closed with no explanation or alternatives. Witnessing this kind of dismissive behavior made it very clear to me: if this is how he treats a guest right in front of others, what could I expect for myself? I was tired and had more urgent priorities — like finding a safe, decent place to rest and sleep. And clearly, that wasn’t going to happen here. Later I found out the restaurant is only open on Sundays for a buffet, which honestly feels like a scam. It’s obvious there’s no proper chef or functioning kitchen, and the whole place seems like it’s falling apart. This was not just disappointing—it was uncomfortable, unhealthy, and dishonest. Avoid.

A delight

Room was basic but comfortable and clean, has all that you need including a bottle of sparkling water which is more than most. Quiet as well, ours faced the courtyard. The restaurant was great, we both took vegetarian options which were very tasty and generous.

Excellent service!

Exceptional service! Checked in late. There was a minor issue regarding the room. The owner contacted Booking.com but they couldn't help so he just fixed it even though it wasn't his fault. Stayed there for 2 night. Breakfast good, very nice room and the service excellent. Casa Verde has my warmest recommendations. Gracias!

Disappointing.

Good breakfast but not included in room rate.

We walked in to find 4 dirty glasses and a half drunk bottle of water by our bed. The sink in the bathroom was badly cracked & sharp, the shelf above it had a broken screw which was also sharp. There were hairs on the floor of the bathroom. Nothing the hotel could do about it but church bells rang from 6am & we had booked the stay as we had stayed late at another event, so this was rather a shock!

Comfortable, clean, good location close to downtown Trier. Local bakery nearby was a nice bonus.

Apartment was very clean and tidy. Host was very helpful and accommodating to make our stay enjoyable. Restaurant was closed, but the local Italian restaurant next door was great. I would certainly come back again if I am in the area.

Die Bilder und Bewertubgen haben einen deutlich anderen Einfruck vermittelt, als wir wahrgenommen haben.

Der Check-in verlief schnell und reibungslos, zudem war das Personal freundlich und zuvorkommend. Positiv hervorzuheben ist auch die unkomplizierte Abwicklung bei der Anreise. Das Zimmer selbst ist zwar erkennbar in die Jahre gekommen, was für uns grundsätzlich kein Problem darstellt.

Leider entsprach jedoch der Zustand der Sauberkeit nicht den Erwartungen und Standards, die wir an ein Hotel stellen. So befanden sich Flusen auf dem Boden, Steckdosen waren sichtbar verschmutzt bzw. schwarz verfärbt, und in der Dusche war Schimmel in den Fugen vorhanden. Auch diese Punkte wären für uns einzeln betrachtet noch hinnehmbar gewesen. Ausschlaggebend war jedoch der Zustand des Bettes. Auf dem Bettlaken befanden sich Flecken, zudem hatte die Bettwäsche einen deutlich muffigen Geruch. Dies führte bei uns zu der ernsthaften Frage, ob die Bettwäsche frisch bezogen war. Gerade Sauberkeit und frische Wäsche sind für uns das absolute Minimum und ausschlaggebend für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt. Aufgrund dieser Umstände haben wir uns entschieden, bereits am nächsten Tag vorzeitig abzureisen.

Een aanrader makkelijke verbinding naar Trier stad met bus 86 net om de hoek

We kwamen later aan door het verkeer met 8 personen. Toch werden we vriendelijk ontvangen en werd er plaats gemaakt om ons nog een voortreffelijk gerecht te serveren. De eigenaar en zijn team supper vriendelijk heel lekker eten en het appartement was heel proper we komen zeker terug

Volgende keer weer naar Casa Verde , bijzonder vriendelijk , we voelden ons er direct geheel thuis.

Super vriendelijke ontvangst en personeel . geweldige gastheer , heel veel mogelijk , zelfs extra vroeg ontbijt , prima geregeld en meer dan voldoende.

Er hing een vreselijke stank ( zgn. Putlucht ) in de badkamer vanwege een ´ totaal niet goed functionerende afvoer waarschijnlijk . Reden was ons onbekend , maar waarschijnlijk rioolwerkzaamheden ' ergens in de buurt ' , waardoor er heftige drukverschillen de zgn zwaanshalswerking onmogelijk heeft gemaakt.

très bel hôtel, accueil super sympathique par le patron, restaurant intérieur et extérieur (couvert) très soigné, nourriture extra. les chambres étaient très propres et lits confortables, le personnel était très sympa aussi, petite terrasse couverte à l'étage pour boire un verre et se détendre au calme. Service au restaurant par le patron qui nous a bien fait rire et bien conseillé pour le vin. je recommande cet hôtel .
