Easy parking, friendly staff, nice and clean rooms, fantastic restaurant next to the hotel

This is a great place to stay while traveling with a car or motorcycle. The staff was very friendly. The room was nice and clean and comfortable. The parking was easy and across the street from the hotel. The bathroom was nice and clean. I did not have breakfast so I can't comment on that. There is a great restaurant in the hotel or next to it that was fantastic. I really enjoyed the friendly staff there and the drinks they had and the overall atmosphere and decorations. Nice place. I highly recommend staying at this hotel and knocking back a few drinks at the restaurant and then walking up to your room.

Lovely find

The hotel is fabulous - and for us it was more of an apartment. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. There is a separate restaurant within the hotel and their food is FAB-U-LOUS!! We had schnitzels for our meal twice as they were the best we'd ever had! All the food was perfectly presented - we were very impressed. There is a bicycle trail at the back of the hotel which is busy and brings in more customers for the restaurant😄 Hubby walked from Trier centre along the Mosel and it took him 2 hours. Would love to re-visit.

The location is a 15min bus trip from Trier centre at the Porta Nigra and the stop is Ruwer Bahnhof (fare €3.80 single or a group day ticket for up to 5 people for €16.50). The buses are mostly hourly - nos 20, 86, 220 and 221 but the Sunday 07.53 bus did not turn up and we had another hot wait for 30 mins for the next bus. No real problem but be prepared to call a taxi if you need to take an early Sunday train/flight.

The rooms were very clean. There was a restaurant in the hotel which was very good. We stayed one night only.

Super location, rooms, breakfast and staff with surprisingly excellent next door restaurant!

The breakfast was excellent: fresh baked bread and a lot of toppings to choose from. Clean, comfortable and spacious rooms. Really friendly staff. Excellent location just outside the city centre. Also a great Italian restaurant next door with excellent food at decent prices.

A little bit warm without airconditioning. Opened the windows, but then -as the rooms were on the street side- got traffic noise. Not too much to worry about, but was unexpected. I would choose a room with airco, next time when in hot weather conditions.

Disappointed

This is a difficult review to write. The room in the hotel was great. The breakfast and breakfast room were great. The staff were very helpful. The reception area was great. The location wasn't.

The hotel is right next, a very narrow pavement, to a busy road. On the other side there is a motorway. The hotel is a long way from Trier. The restaurant is not part of the hotel. You cannot charge to your room. It is a very limited schnitzel based menu. the restaurant doesn't except non-German credit cards - only cash. There is however a cash machine 100m away. Value or cost is not just dependent on facilities but also location. For us the location was not good and despite the room and breakfast being good we felt it was too expensive for the location. For others, especially cyclists it might well be the best as there is a cycle path adjacent to the hotel.

Great location for cycling along the banks of the Moselle

Large room with a comfortable bed. Big bathroom with shower sink and WC. Plenty of storage space. Friendly staff, a great continental breakfast. Right next to the cycle path into Trier or towards Trittenheim (we got as far as Neumagen-Drhon)

Poor quality toiletries, very harsh on the skin so stopped using it. Restaurant not part of the hotel, very salty food only ate there once.

After hours check in, good breakfast, there's an italian restaurant that has nothing to do with the hotel but its in the same building, so that's very convenient.

It's away from downtown Trier. So if you're planning on a night in town you won't be within walking diistance

Nice hotel

People were friendly and the breakfast was tasty with lots of choices.

The location was on a busy highway that was loud and dangerous to cross with my child. The parking was close, though, across the street. The traffic did stop in the evening, so we could sleep.

Great stay

Staff was great. Breakfast really yummy. They made fresh scrambled eggs for us as they didn't want us to have old dried out ones as we were a little later them the rest of the guests with breakfast. They asked when you would like it. The restaurant downstairs was not only convenient, but had Delicious food.

Very comfortable hotel for a great price, very friendly and helpful staff

Really nice hotel. Very friendly staff, very clean and nicely taken care of, good breakfast, comfortable beds, big bathroom with great water pressure in the shower, bus stop to trier city center right in front of the hotel, free parking in front of the hotel, pizzeria next door for drinks and food. We enjoyed our stay very much. Clear recommendation for a stay in the area!

Clean and big rooms and a good restaurant downstairs.

A bit outside the city and the 10:00 for checkout is a bit early given you can also have breakfast until 10.

Exceptional

Rooms were extremely clean and quiet, even though the hotel is surrounded by two roads. The host is very kind and accommodating. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Trier, even for a few days, as the rooms are very comfortable.
