Do not eat at the chinese tapas place next to the Porta Nigra. It will make you sick.

Staff at the other Porta Nigra hotel accross the road are very helpful. There was no staff to be seen elsewhere. First place I have stayed that actually has "fruit" tea available.

Only fruit or pepermint tea available. Coffee was powdered and undrinkable. WIFI - the router was obviously running with a potato inside. Could not use it at all. Make sure you have your phone available to hot spot.

Everything. We stayed in a tiny little house with a small garden table and a garden chair. That was absolutely gorgeous.

Great location, modern room but no AC

Perfect location to Porta Negra and walking to everywhere. Grocery store and bakery right next door. Modern room. Parking was right across the street and reasonably priced

No A/C, supplied fan was weak. Left windows open at night for airflow but naturally Street noise was loud. There is an elevator but our floor still required one flight of stairs. Our party spoke German French and English. Some of the staff didn't understand German even.

Brilliant Location

Excellent location, can easily walk in to the centre and great view of the porta Nigra from the room. Beds were very comfortable and clean. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that.

Not much to criticise but charging hotel residents to park in hotel parking spaces always feels unfair to me.

A strange mixture of confusion and satisfaction.

We were a small group travelling on motorcycles. We loved the secure garages located across the road. The hotel was generally very good but it was not what we were expecting.

We thought we had booked into a very similarly named hotel across the road. We discovered that others had made the same mistake, so in future we will be very careful. Not what we were expecting but good of its type.

Nice centric stay in Trier

Very centric location at the Porta Negra. Apartment was clean, beds were comfy

Only one toilet and the toilet was in the bathroom which was not that practical for five people. The gate of the parking was closed at night and I arrived late so couldn’t park the car anymore.

Do not recommend

Location was perfect.

The room was not that clean. The bedroom has no locker and there was a fire escape which is completely open and connected to other rooms. I did not feel safe while sleeping. The bed was not comfortable. Lastly, the check in is not until 20:00. After 18:00, you have to check in online and there is no personnel in the hotel.

Location, location, location!

Perfect location with parking to do a walking tour of famous Roman sites and the Christmas Market. Room was clean and comfortable with a nice breakfast in the mornings. Would definitely stay again.

Great Location. Breakfast was basic, but nice and fresh. Room was clean. Wifi worked well. Bed was comfy.

My room at the top of the hotel and had sloping ceiling which I banged my head on a couple of times (my Fault). This also made the room appear small (It was a single room). Shower cubical was a bit small for me. I was only staying at the hotel for 1 night, so these issues were not really that major.

Stylish hotel in great location—has stairs

Fabulous location! Clean, stylish rooms and lobby area; very good breakfast.

More control of room temperature. Easier after 6 check in. Stairs are difficult for some. Elevator use still requires 10 stairs with bags! Not clear on the website!

It's a great place, very convenient location, beautiful flat, very clean and equipped with all you need. We arrived late evening, there was tea, coffee, sugar, milk, very nice. There is a marker downstairs, 1 minute walk from the hotel, open till 9pm where you can get everything if needed.

A little old fashioned but very accommodating. Breakfast was good and we liked the private car parking as the hitel is located in the centre of town.

The key coding - at least the initial key code which you have to get right first time. The 4 digit code for outside and our room was fine.

Close to the must see items. They allow us to park a car for a while after checking out.

Very complicated system for checking in/out. It doesn’t go straight away. They ask to proceed on their own website, for each room you booked. Especially I wish they would accept to use booking.com system for the payment.

Fantastic value for money.

Perfect location, you can easily reach everything worth seeing on foot. Hotel was very clean, and our room was tiny but well equipped and quite charming. Beds were comfortable. Also, sound isolation was way better than expected.

Sign-in process is unnecessarily complicated, but doable.

Best Little Hotel You May Not Know About

It was our 2nd time staying. They have made improvements since our last stay approximately a year and a half ago. Staff very friendly.

The chairs in the apartment are very uncomfortable. Since the couch served as pull out, there were no alternatives, except for the kitchen chairs.

Hands down best place to stay when visiting Trier-

steps from Porta Nigra wall! Amazing value, had room 23 in back- it was like a studio apartment! Well styled, comfortable, roomy, smelled good! Front desk was friendly and helpful!!! VERY happy with this one night stay! Highly recommend to anyone via tiring Trier!!!
