Excellent hotel and an unforgettable experience.
On arrival we were offered a complimentary glass of Sekt. All of the staff we engaged with were friendly, helpful and offered good advice. Our room was superb, more like a suite really, with entrance lobby (containing the wardrobes), a large bedroom with king size bed, two armchairs and desk, and a large bathroom with a walk-in shower. A complimentary bottle of water was provided daily. The continental breakfast was good with plenty of variety. The hotel has a restaurant attached which we ate in on two evenings. The food was very good and heavily meat based. I tried the horse steak and venison goulash both were very good. They also serve three styles of local Trier beer and a selection of Moselle wines. When we left we were offered a complimentary jar of local orange preserve. Location wise the hotel is approximately a 10 minute walk from the main train station. It is located in a quiet street just off of the main pedestrian area. The Haupt-Steipe Markt, the Cathedral and Porta Nigra are all within a 5 minute walk. The Kaiserthermen (Roman Imperial Baths) are a 12 minute walk away. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Trier.
If I had to be very, very picky I would say more TV programmes in English. But being honest BBC World was completely sufficient. However, in reality there was absolutely nothing that I didn't like. The hotel is superb.

Beautiful room in perfect location.
The room was spacious and beautifully decorated . The young man at the front desk was very helpful in answering any questions we had or solving any problems.

This was our first time in Trier, will definitely be back at some point in the future!
The location was wonderful. Room was nice, cozy and clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to accommodate us. In the morning the smell of freshly baked bread welcomes when you leave your room. Wonderful stay, would recommend!

Lovely place to stay historical section of Trier.
Beautiful room with a comfortable bed. Roomy bathroom with good, hot shower. Delicious breakfast buffet with a nice selection. The room had a nice bowl of fruit and they gave us a welcome glass of sparking wine and a parting gift of a jar of their homemade jam. Also had lunch in the hotel restaurant that had a good selection of traditional German dishes and was delicious. Location was very convenient to Trier sites, shops, and restaurants. Highly recommend!
No on-site parking, but parking garage was only about a 5 minute walk away.
