The views of the Roman monuments were a fantastic way to relax and enjoy the local culture’s

Outstanding - everyone was so helpful, organized and willing to assist and make the stay memorable.

Opposite one of the true gems of the Roman world - also, the tour bus was so easily and quickly located. Many restaurants, fast food and good ones, available. I cannot remember the view from my room-my train was 5 hours LATE!!!! I was so tired. BUT, the view from the breakfast room was magical - the buffet breakfast was scrumptious.

The elevator - was very slow, unavailable sometimes. I cannot think of anything, or anyone, which would be a negative - other than that one item noted first.

Wonderful as usual

I’ve stayed here many times, and I’ve honestly never had a single complaint. This visit was no different—everything was perfect. The beds were super comfortable, and we were given one of the newly renovated rooms, which was so nice and cozy. We arrived extremely late and even called ahead to make sure our reservation would still be available. The security guard was incredibly kind and helpful. He made everything so easy for us, and even had our key ready when we arrived at 5 AM. Such thoughtful service is exactly why I keep coming back. Highly recommended!

Great location lovely room and fantastic view

The location was top. We can to see the Porta Nigra and it was there once we opened the window. Car parking underneath the hotel. Lovely that the hotel has extras like toothbrushes.

Price for breakfast is over 23,00 euro per person. If you only want a coffee and a bread roll that too much. Dinner not available as kitchen was closed at 20:00. Not ideal.

It is in the city center.

Hotel is quite old. Some walls repainted but bathroom old with some molds in the difficult places, old furnishers and slowest elevator in the world. Very average breakfast.

Our stay started well as the room was available even though we arrived a couple of hours early. The breakfast choice was excellent and the view of the Porta Nigra made for a very good start to the day. Overall a very comfortable hotel in easy walking distance of the train station and all the facilities of Trier.

Lovely hotel, very central, would definitely stay there again if I return to Trier.

Lovely room with a view of the Porta Nigra from my window. Great to have a bath as well as a shower. Good to have a little fridge and a large safe which holds a laptop and which is easy to operate. I had everything I needed.

Only thing that was not good was the reading lamps above the bed. They were bulky and so low that in order to sit up in bed I had to sit to the side. I banged my head on the lamp more than once.

The location couldn't have been better, and overall, this was a great stay.

The best aspect of this hotel is a spectacular location - just actress the street from the Porta Nigra! View from my room was superb, and so much was in very easy walking distance. The room was a good size, and beds were comfortable. Breakfast, although expensive (typical for good German hotels), was a great buffet with many tasty offerings. I found my room to be clean, but some travelers in my group felt that the room was less clean than desired.

As this is a chain, it lacks the charm that locally-owned hotel might have. Wish there had been more types of Broetchen offered for breakfast, but that is not a complaint. . . just a suggestion. All in all, this was a very good stay, and the location was topnotch!

The hotel has an unbeatable location in the town, opposite the Porta Nigra. It looks like it has undergone some much needed renovation in the past year or so. We had a good and comfortable stay. The breakfast is fine. Parking (paid) on site.
