My hosts went out of their way to make my stay memorable and enjoyable.

The location is very central but not in a busy street. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. My room was a good size and very comfortable but there was also a lounge area outside if I wanted to read in comfort. The staff, Tullio and Sylvia were very welcoming, friendly and attentive - especially as I was travelling alone.

Super Short Break !

Superb location central to Lucca , breakfast variety excellent and brilliant to have free bikes to use available at the bandb . Super outdoor seating space if required . Staff very friendly and helpful , exceeded expectations.

Location, Location, Location. We could not have planed a better place than this, extremely close to the Piazza and and the heart of the town.

Maybe some better instructions about driving into the permitted entrance portal. I was not awre you could only enter from one.

A great hotel with Tullio and Silvia expertly attending to all our needs

Great location to explore Lucca, Pisa, Florence and beyond.

Conveniently positioned, very clean and tidy. There are free bicycles that guests can use to get around and the staff, Tullio and Silva made sure we had everything we needed during our stay.

Fabulous hotel, fabulous staff

Fabulous location in the heart of Lucca. Beautiful facilities and the absolute best staff. The on-site garage was a great bonus. The hotel was so good that we returned a few days later, cancelling our trip to Pisa!!

A beautifully appointed little place with a good breakfast and complimentary bikes.

Very convenient location close to the amphitheatre piazza. Beautifully appointed with a lovely outside courtyard. Comfortable bed and bedding and air conditioning. Excellent breakfast and we also enjoyed the complimentary bicycles for trips around Lucca’s walls and out to a local vineyard. The manager Tullio was extremely helpful regarding check-in arrangements and made our stay very comfortable.

Fantastico!

Superbly located, excellent facilities, comfortable and clean. Courtyard was a real bonus, as was having bikes available to borrow. Tullio and Silvia were exceptional in their friendly welcome and helpfulness. Couldn't fault it!

Bed was slightly too hard but that's a personal preference!

The location was excellent and the property felt modern without losing its appeal of being an old building with character. It was exceptionally quiet but 1 minute away from the Main Street.

There was one room with a squeaky less comfortable bed but we were offered another room as soon as mentioned.

very central, in an area were there are many locals and good restaurants and bars. it was also quite and the interior was cozy. we enjoyed breakfast outside in the private courtyard. Silvia is really helpful and lovely.

Great place to stay in Lucca Center

The staff is incredible. The residence is truly blessed to have Tuillo and Sylvia. Tuillo welcomed us to the residence and was always helpful with recommendations and advice. Sylvia was extremely pleasant and helped when Tuillo was not working. The room was very clean and the cleaning staff very conscientious. The location of the residence is great as you are in the historical center. Rooms are comfortable, the AC is good, the internet works well, Breakfast was good and Tuillo/Sylvia ensured great cafes were made for us.

No complaints with the residence. As the residence is located inside the historical center, parking and driving a car can be difficult. You will need to park outside the city wall which is about 10 minutes away. Tuillo arranged a permit for us to drive in the historical area to drop off our luggage and then park outside the wall

The location, the staff were lovely. The bed was very comfortable.

The breakfast was not very imaginative, the coffee/juices were not as good as they could have been. If you have a sweet tooth the breakfast would suit you.

Lucca and Di Via Fontana perfect place to end our Italian adventure

Staying at Di Via Fontana was everything we could have hoped for. The location was perfect. Tullio and the young lady (sorry completely blanked on your name) who welcomed us are a credit to your hotel, so friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and cool with comfy beds. We hope we get to visit Lucca again and would certainly stay Di Via Fontana!

A fabulous jewel in beautiful Luccas crown

It was super central, the staff were friendly and helpful and property clean and modern.

There was one sitting area on the back that would’ve been a lovely place to chill and relax but it was constantly occupied by others smoking cigars, pipes and other items

Location! Peaceful! Friendly! Comfortable and clean!

Went with my niece. Location was fantastic. It was quiet! Yet so very close to all the sights. I could have stayed longer and borrowed one of their bicycles. The staff was so attentive especially at breakfast, making sure everyone had their needs met. Checking in and out we were met with smiles and friendly attitude. Thank you!

Great location, great servic& very comfortable

We stayed just two nights and we were welcomed & looked after by the two members of staff - Tullio & Sylvia who were wonderful! Our room was comfortable & clean & all the other areas were also very clean & well decorated. We were offered a great breakfast full of all you would expect. We cannot fault the service we received from the aforementioned young members of staff. They were informative, caring & helpful. The location was excellent & easy walking distance to all the beautiful sights within Lucca old town. We would definitely recommend this property.

The location is great, the staff at the b and b were welcoming, helpful and mad a great effort to make our stay as comfortable as they could (Tulioi and Silvia) excuse the spelling if incorrect were considerate/knowledgable and made us feel really welcome from start to finish.

The pillows in the room were a little lumpy, other than that all good.

it was treat for my sister’s 70th, her first visit. she absolutely loved it.

Beautifully renovated. tasteful decor. fresh breakfast goodies every morning. We didn’t realise that we had booked a suite. Looked like the bridal suite which was a surprise to two older sisters! it was lovely but up a lot of stairs! should have burned a few calories! Elena was amazing, so helpful n friendly. We highly recommend it.

It’s in a wonderful location, just a moments’ walk from the city walls and Piazza Frediano. The staff were absolutely wonderful and so helpful, their communication before and during our stay was brilliant. I am happy to highly recommend the Residenza di via Fontana.

A good start to our road trip

The staff , cleanliness , the location breakfast and the bikes for our use! We had a fabulous cycle ride around the town walls,

The room was fine but not as luxurious as the pictures suggest . We still enjoyed our stay.Best not to take your car into Lucca though , park outside the walls.

A delightful view on a wonderful city.

The location at the heart of the historic city was perfect, and the street was very peaceful. The room was delightful- on two levels, with lovely views in all directions. Breakfast was in a pretty courtyard. A real treat.
