Would stay again in a heartbeat.

For whomever needs to move by train, the hotel is practically attached to the train station. So you won't be hauling luggage more than a few meters. The included breakfast was of very high quality. It was really better than some other luxury hotel solutions that provide canned fruit and stuff. Everything was fresh and great quality. The room was very retro. I understand some people may not like this, but I loved it! The staff was very kind, indeed!

I enjoyed my short stay there and have no negative feedback to point out, at this point. Maybe the antiquated look is not for everyone. I happen to like that.

It’s pretty classic as everything in the town. Staff was kind and helpful all the time.

The breakfast is mostly sweet, the dishes and cutlery looks like if they had been donated from dozens of different sources. The bathroom is small

A nice hotel just outside the old walls of old town of Lucca.

Excellent location: just outside the walls of the old town of Lucca (not subject the expensive rates of accommodations inside the wall), accessible by an under the street cross walk, and next to the train and bus stations. Excellent breakfast, included in the hotel price. Personable staff. Room, bed were comfortable. Large window to let fresh air and sunshine in. Has an electric kettle, tea bags and cookies. Quiet nights.

T&B lacked a vanity surface area and hanging bars or hooks - essential for those traveling and living out of suitcase.

Basically next to the train station yet an extremely short walk into the walled part of town. Room was a good size with small fridge and kettle and extra biscuits and milk in hallway. Very comfortable with great staff and great breakfast. Nice to be in a staffed hotel after non staffed apartments.

Extremely noisy with windows open but quiet when shut. So many ambulances with sirens blaring.

A quaint hotel for a quiet visit to historic Luca, Italy.

The location of this hotel is super convenient. You get off the train and in less than 10 minutes you’re checking in. It is close to the tunnel that will take you safely under a busy street to entrances through which you can enter the historic walled city of Luca. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The desk staff were all very helpful!

Visit Lucca and stay at hotel rex

Everything! Second time traveling to Italy and staying at this hotel it’s so convenient from the train station in the wall of Luca is right steps away. It’s a beautiful place to stay and the staff is fantastic. I highly recommend hotel Rex for anybody traveling to Luca.

A lovely place

Charming little hotel, perfectly located 50 metres from the train station and 100 metres from the city walls. It's a little quirky, with mismatched crockery at breakfast and so on, and the room furnishings have an old-fashioned vibe, but that only adds to its charm. Bed was comfy, water was hot and plentiful, and they provided real bars of soap. The staff were particularly friendly and helpful and my room, despite looking out onto the station piazza which is undergoing refurbishment, was perfectly quiet. Excellent value for money, especially in a city that is otherwise very dedicated to extracting as much from tourists as it can: the Rex stands out for its fair pricing.

The hotel to stay in Lucca.

This hotel is located next to the Lucca train station. It is an older hotel with old world charm and the staff and owner keep things tidy. Bed Sheets were clean and crisp. Bathroom was well stock with necessities. Breakfast was beyond my expectation with cold cuts cheeses, croissants, cereal, fruits, coffee, teas, etc. Everyone was really nice. This is the place to stay in Lucca for its location and value. 😊

A comfortable hotel in a convenient location.

This is a comfortable hotel, well located in Lucca literally a stone's throw from the train station, and just outside the city walls. The room and bathroom were well furnished, with a kettle for tea or coffee. I found the staff friendly and helpful.

It was quaint and welcoming, the people working there were lovely and they provided many little thoughtful extras to make the stay comfortable. The breakfast was good but it was very good because of the service. The location was perfectly convenient for what we had planned as we didn’t have a much time in Lucca

The staff were all friendly. THEhotel was clean.

The room was dated. No comfortable chairs to sit on. The outlook from our window was dingy and led onto a sitting area for public so we could not open the windows during the night for safety. The lighting was poor and the bed hard. The shower was way too small to use with comfort. Powerpoints were limited to one. I chose this hotel being close to the station however it was just too far from the old city to comfortably return during the day. The station environs being renovated doesn’t help the hotels appeal or access.

I had to check in late to the late because of car trouble. I rang the bell and was checked in by Frank after 11:30pm. I liked the touch by the hotel for leaving a playpen in the room for my infant. For the price and breakfast included hotel was worth it.

We've had a nice stay at this hotel. It was confortable, pleasant and good value for the money we paid. The staff was great, breakfast perfect, so clean everywhere and the location couldn't be better. From the window we looked at the walls of the old city. If we go back to Lucca this would be our hotel!!

Really nice people, super clean and great breakfast. So close to the train which was great for getting around. Very good location. Great restaurant down the street. Very accommodating staff. Always felt welcomed. Absolutely safe with no issues traveling late at night.

Sorry but I found the bed extremely hard and uncomfortable. (27)I also think the mat in the shower is dangerous unless you make sure it’s properly attached as the mat slipped on entry!
