Breakfast was extensive for continental style. The ambience was cosy and calm. The location was amazing - couldn't be better.
The staff were just delightful and couldn't be more welcoming and accommodating. (we have both travelled considerably, so offer this comment with knowledge and experience elsewhere!).

THIS IS NOT A 'DON'T LIKE' BUT AN OBSERVATION FOR THOSE WHO MAY NOT:
Now, it has to be said the joyous young people outside of a morning waiting to go in to their music school/college may not be for everyone. We enjoyed hearing the chatter and impromptu singing and it did not make for a noisy start to the morning routine. (We also chose to keep our window open all night/morning, so, that should be noted in terms of street noise). Being on the main street meant there was people/street cleaning activity across the evening but it was no bother to us. In fact, for the more discerning visitor - it merely shows the living breathing heart of the walled city. Lovely!

We loved everything about the beautiful, historic property including the perfectly walkable location.
Our gracious hostess, Marta, went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and welcome including her homemade cakes in a lovely breakfast spread.
Steep front steps from courtyard. If this may be an issue for you, I strongly suggest contacting Marta for her honest advice.
