Superb B&B in a superb location, nestled in the heart of the Old Town.

Character and History. Views from communal lounge and some rooms were stunning, looking out over the arena. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was in a small cafe at a nearby location which was of an excellent quality and frequented by locals.

A step back in time into medieval Lucca

An older property with a French window looking out into the Roman ampitheatre Piazza, a truly historical location. Lucca is relatively small and very accessible on foot. Our host Monica provided a decent breakfast at a local restaurant to start each day. She also offered to clean our room on a daily basis, We felt that we were staying in a beautiful historic house, with all mod cons!

It’s a very beautiful place in the heart of Lucca. The rooms are stunning and the staff was always very friendly and helpful. We really liked it.

Actually there is nothing to complain about. The room was a bit warm, but there is an Air Conditioner.

Brilliant in every way

Location location location It overlooked the old Amphitheatre and was close to everything Monica was very helpful with everything and waited for my late arrival in the evening It was spotlessly clean and serviced daily Highly recommend

Be aware that there are many stairs to reach the property on the first floor for those with heavy cases

Not what we expected.

The location was good: next to the Piazza dell’Antifeatro. The room was large, clean and the staff helpful and friendly.

The property was only accessible up a steep flight of stone stairs, which were badly lit. We knew there were stairs, but these were particularly difficult for my husband who has mobility problems. The entry on Booking.com does not make it clear that there is no coffee/tea making facilities in the room. They are in the communal lounge, which was not what we were expected or wanted. There was no internet connection in our room, also only in the communal lounge, which was really not satisfactory. The breakfast was not available at the property but in a cafe a short walk away. We had a voucher. It was nice enough basic Italian breakfast food, but this was not what we were expecting, or very good for my husband who needs to keep walking to a minimum.

Great B&B in the heart of Lucca

Arena di Lucca is a very nice B&B in the heart of the city. The location is very central and my room opened on the main square, providing an great view. The room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom and shower were good as well. Free coffee and tea in the room is a good bonus. Breakfast is served at the cafe in front of the B&B and there is a good selection of food and drinks. The price I pais was in line with the other options avilable in the area but Arena di Lucca is for sure a good choice.

The only thing that could be improved is that there's only a small table in the room that is taken up by the coffee cups and therefore there isn't much room for a working surface.

Wonderful location, lovely welcome, comfortable and charming.

Full of atmosphere, this ancient building has all mod cons and a wonderfully comfortable bed. The welcome s lovely, the view from the balcony on to the Arena was a delight, breakfast was scrumptious and the double glazing kept the atmosphere of the Arena firmly outside. I just loved it! And Lucca …. Well, no words!!❤️

Really good accommodation in a truly iconic location.

The accommodation is in a great position within Lucca's historical centre and allows very easy access to every facility. The style of the rooms is completely consistent with the surroundings - bags of character in a comfortable and safe environment. Alex and Livia are excellent hosts being friendly, helpful and very obliging with plenty of local knowledge and advice on hand. Breakfasts are superb with a huge variety of local specialities and more traditional breakfast fare to choose from.

Everything was as expected when we made our booking so no complaints - the only thing we might change with a future booking (if more than a few days stay) would be to opt for a larger room rather than ones with the view of the Anfiteatro. We were advised of this in advance though.
