So disappointing.this was the most expensive hotel in the area when we boooked and of our 2 weeks traveling Italythe ve

Reception gave wrong directions 2x to park our car. Room was the smallest I’ve ever had. We were in a different hotel every night for 2 weeks and this was ridiculous. Asked for another room to no avail. Wall were so makes up with black makes. Looks terrible. Scale in room didn’t work.

Adequate but hardly inspiring

The reception staff were helpful in making good restaurant recommendations.

The room was strangely divided into two by the bathroom and a fault in the electrical installation meant the power switched off after a time and could only be reactivated by moving in the first part of the room. The housekeeping service was poor, coffee machine and water not replenished and the turn down service inconsistent. Further, the bed sheets were not changed after two days.

Actually the bacon was very nice since you asked about breakfast and we got a very nice upgrade which was much appreciated by my wife (and me). The Restaurant is very nice and has really good light meals which are quite hard to find in Italy as well as some nice lamb.

Might have warned us that the hotel was in the middle of a pop concert the night we booked but in fact it was all well as by the time we got back from Torre del Lago well after midnight (Puccini Festival) all was cleared up and in fact parking was dead easy as we found spaces each time literally just outside the Porta san Pietro which is the closest you can get to the hotel from outside the city walls.

Premium stay in Lucca

We stayed here as we were going to the lucca music festival, and the band was staying there so the best hotel in lucca!

As there was no parking, we parked a 15 min walk away which was ok

Hidden Gem !!

The Breakfast was exceptional & the staff are so efficient.

A little more ambience on the Roof top Terrace i.e background music/ Sun Canopies but it has amazing views especially when the Lucca Summer Festival is on.

Very small rooms and our original room we were shown to was extremely dark and looked out on a concrete staircase. The staff were extremely kind and We were moved to a better room but it was still very small with a tiny shower.

We were greeted by a lovely welcome drink and the staff at reception were very pleasant and helpful.

Great location in Lucca. The rooms are quite modern and very dark-lighting is very dim.

Although you can drive to the hotel, they do not offer valet parking (which would be a helpful). You have to unload your bags then drive out of the city walls to parking. Can be confusing.

Wonderful hotel experience for a short stay in a beautiful city.

Staff were excellent throughout, really friendly on welcoming, always attentive and available. Breakfast and bar facilities top class. Location perfect. We were upgraded to a lovely room which was nice too. The upgraded room was really very nice. Huge comfortable bed, separate seating area and an enormous bathroom.

We were upgraded to a lovely room because the air conditioning was broken in our initial room. The initial room, air conditioning aside, was very small for the price paid. We felt the price was a little high even for the upgraded room we were moved too!

The location was perfect. The room was great. Next time I’ll be enjoying the champagne bar.

We had a connecting door to the room next to us, which made it easy to hear them and them to hear us. And the light in the bathroom was poor. Need better lighting.

a wonderful boutique hotel away from the crowds

the staff were really friendly and helpful. the property was like staying in a grand family home. the location was quiet and away from the major traffic areas of the city.

it’s both a positive and a negative- as a boutique hotel, you will not have the same amenities as a larger property- ie: bar/lounge, lobby areas etc
