From the moment I arrived to the morning I left I felt very welcome.

There was a very good choice for breakfast. A good selection of teas and coffees and juices. Very enjoyable breakfast. Location was excellent. Only a 15 minute walk to the station. Staff were lovely and welcoming

Lovely friendly staff, first mini bar service included and drinks and snacks available 8 to 8! Breakfast was excellent. Room was toasty warm on arrival. Location was perfect for getting from the station, to parkrun and generally well placed - in a busy area but tucked away.

Bed was slightly soft but comfy once we got used to it. Lane to the hotel was a bit dreary but the hotel itself was lovely!

Beautiful place to stay in the heart of Lucca! Excellent breakfast & we loved our room & the staff

We loved our stay here! Two good friends traveling together, we asked for a room with 2 twins and it was a beautiful room! Lovely art, colorful, clean with a very clean bathroom. All amenities were there. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating. We loved the breakfast. It was delicious with a lot of variety. Every day we had something different. The location was also great, within the city walls, a short stroll to everything. Quiet as well, all of our needs were met.

Wonderful characterful stay in a lovely, well located Albergo!

Superb location inside the walls. Lovely, friendly welcome, fabulous communications prior to arriving, even including a video of how to drive to the Albergo once in Lucca! Spotless room, lovely size and a generous varied breakfast. Couldn't improve it!

Amazing place and stay! Recommend 100%

I think this was the best hotel we stayed in during our 20-day Italy trip. The hotel is so cute, very clean, staff were so nice and helpful! The room was beautiful, bathroom was great (two sinks)! Beds were comfortable too. We have nothing bad to say or any complaints. I'd definitely stay there again.

Lovely small hotel in Luca's historic centre

Hotel is on a quiet cul de sac but close to everything. Room was large with a comfortable bed and a good bathroom. Check in and out was easy. Breakfast was good. Cold, self serve with a good selection. Pastries were especially tasty. Liked that they had a press to make your own fresh orange juice. Would recommend as a good place to stay.

There isn't a lift to the upper floors if this is a concern

Hotel of character in historic Lucca

Lovely bright room with colourful art. Extremely helpful staff. Nice breakfast which can be eaten on the little terrace outside, also accessible during the day. Location inside walls excellent. Hotel with character!!

Very personalised service

Having stayed overnight at 4 different hotels in Tuscany, this hotel definitely stood out as the most welcoming of them all. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, really offering a very personalised service. We felt very well looked after. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and really clean, and breakfast was delicious. We stayed in a stunning superior room with painted murals on the wall and jacuzzi bath in the very modern and well equipped bathroom. The hotel is located down a rather unassuming street, but it is very close to the centre of Lucca, about 9 mins walk to Piazza Dell'Anfiteatro. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

A hidden gem in Lucca

This is a hidden gem. The room was spacious and beautiful. We loved the bathroom. The little «garden» outside for our breakfast or a big Aperol spritz before dinner. The service was the best ever. We will be back for sure …

Great stay, wish I had checked in for longer

The hotel is within the wall but relatively easy walking distance to the train station. The area surrounding the hotel is quiet with little to no vehicle traffic. The room was tastefully decorated and of a good size as was the bathroom. Breakfast was excellent. The bed was comfortable and the shuttered window could be left open. The whole town of Lucca is walkable from the hotel, as are the walls.

The only improvement I could suggest is an electric kettle available for guest use in the downstairs area where the hotel offers cold drinks and snacks.

Charming, old-school hotel with very modern amenities

This is a charming, old-school hotel that's been recently renovated. It reminded me of hotel descriptions in travel books written in the 1930s and 40s. But this hotel is not worn! Everything was fresh and lovely. Our bathroom was huge, had a stylish and very usable walk-in shower as well as a giant whirlpool tub, which we didn't use. Staff was so helpful and friendly. The included breakfast had a wide variety of items, from cereal, eggs and fruit to cheese and cold cuts. Excellent coffee with espresso and cappuccino made to order.

The only thing that was less than ideal was a streetlight right outside our window. The AC wasn't on, because the night got quite cool. But we had to leave the shutters closed to cut down the light, which also cut down the fresh air. The hotel kindly provided me with a fan, and it was okay.

Wonderful, cozy, would stay again and again!

Albergo San Martino was so cute and cozy - staff were very friendly and helpful and our room was adorable. The breakfast included was fantastic and a great, relaxed way to start the day. Eeach room had a name and a local told us it used to be the old brothel so we wonder if the names were kept as a nod to that!

The mattress was quite hard but slept well regardless. The eco friendly shampoos and soap pods were a good idea in theory but proved very difficult to use in actuality.
