Al Tuscany

We had the most perfect time staying at Al Tuscany. The location is perfect in the heart of Lucca and easy to get everywhere but set back on a quiet street so there’s no noise. A very authentic Lucca experience from the beautiful large wood entrance doors, stone steps, pretty courtyard infront of the entrance doors and gorgeous tiled floors and traditional ceiling. There’s even a lift! Our room was a very good size with desk space, dressing table, wardrobe area and shower room, very comfortable and spacious with air conditioning and a double glazed window. There’s a top window in the bathroom too. Claudio and his team were amazing, so friendly and helpful and lovely to chat with, nothing was too much trouble and always willing to help, they have great recommendations for local activities too, make sure to hire bikes from them and cycle the walls! Breakfast every morning was fantastic, such a pretty breakfast room overlooking the street below and so much choice from meats and cheese, cereal, croissants and fresh pastries (I loved the ones with chocolate chips and icing!) yoghurt, orange, tea and coffee and eggs. Communication was brilliant too via WhatsApp. A perfect stay, we will definitely be back and would recommend to friends and family! Thanks Claudio and team! Lexie and Luke

My daughter and I loved everything. The location, the welcome and hospitality from owner Claudio and staff. It is not 4 star accommodation but that's not what we want. It's full of character and soul complete with a beautiful cat Matisse. Bed was big and comfy and shower fantastic. We hope to return and wish we had stayed there as a base instead of moving on and staying in Florence.

The first great thing is it has a lift to the top floor where the guesthouse is located. Claudio is a caring host , happy to help with suggestions for restaurant’s & excursions. The rooms are all in Antique style , are spacious with comfortable beds. The bathrooms are spacious . Continental breakfast is included. The location is right in the middle of the centro storico , yet the rooms are peaceful and quiet. Airconditioning worked well.
