Charming stay

Great location, easy to find and the host had lots of information on accessing the property and a really useful guide for places to eat and information about the local food specialities. The room was had almost everything you need, the one thing missing was some milk for tea or coffee. I guess all Italians drink it black :-)

The big downside were the windows as I guess they are original single panes. This means they let in a lot of noise from people walking by and lots of people appear to walk by until around 1am and that was during a quiet season. Unless you are also planning to stay out late this could be a problem. The room tax should be included in the price, it's not that easy to get the small change if its not your local currency!

The shower had been plumbed in incorrectly - the hot and cold pipes did not match that on the indicator. The electric lights were poorly installed; it was not possible to turn off all the lights without turning off all the electrics including the power points.

Nice place in a great quiet location, but no soundproofing.

The location was fantastic--it's on a nice quiet street that is close to everything. The room was spacious and comfortable with a Nespresso coffee maker (though more of a selection of coffee would be good--such as including decaf).

There is no noise insulation at all. I could hear every word of conversation of the people in the room above me and all the doors closing all over the building. The floor was a very cheap plastic laminate that made a lot of weird noise when walking on it.

The location was very central but it was very quiet. The room was elegantly furnished.

There was no provision for breakfast. Only two coffee capsules were provided for a two night stay for two people. Light switches were impossible to understand! We found the lack of staff made it very impersonal.

Fabulous

Location is excellent, a few yards from the stage where the concerts are held. Right in the middle of the antique shops all bars and places to eat yards away. Apartment is really Italian with beautiful furniture high ceilings and only a couple of small flights of stairs. The bathroom very modern with a powerful shower. The entrance hall is beautiful but is not manned by staff, you get a code to enter.

If I had to say anything here it would have been nice to have some cutlery as there is a fridge for snacks and drinks. The only other thing was the bed it was comfortable but not an antique one, although the headboard was beautiful it was 2 pushed together to make a double.

The property is a fantastic location right in the center of Luka but on a quiet street. On arrival it is lovely and cool and very spacious and obviously has been recently done up to a very high standard. Our bedroom was a fantastic size with high ceilings and beautiful decor.

A comfortable place for a short stay in beautiful Lucca..

A stylish, spacious room with comfortable bed . Great location.

The lighting system meant you couldn't charge devices at night. No maps or tourist info available which would have been helpful as there was no contact in person with host.

Great location and accessibility but I can’t recommend this place due the uncomfortable bed.

Location was amazing and checkin and checkout was easy! It was very clean and it had all that we needed except for a comfortable bed.

The bed was so uncomfortable. It was the worst bed we had during our 18 days of travel. It was two twin beds pushed together with a sheet over them. The two twin beds were uneven so one sat higher than the other. We could feel the springs through the bed. The room was so big so it was so disappointing with the bed.

Our host was super friendly and helpful making us feel very welcomed. Room was surprisingly spacious with high ceilings. The hotel is also very well located in the centre of Lucca.

There was a fridge to store things in but unfortunately I could not find any bowls or plates, which would have been useful for breakfast.

A nice hotel spoiled by an inaccurate listing and penny pinching

The place was well located, clean and the staff were helpful. The downside is that the property is listed as having aircon (it was 35 degrees)...well it does but they wanted 10 euros if you wanted to use the aircon! It's also listed as having free toiletries...well again, not really...the only toiletries was hand soap on the basin
