Home from Home. Just book it

Great Location. Amazing terrace for sitting out at night. Catches the sun during day. Loved the fact they laid out tea, coffee and pastries in kitchen. Self service as required. Alcohol available with honesty box. Found the room clean and tidy. Room 3 - small room but had door that led onto terrace and kitchen so perfect.

Very affordable, comfortable and cozy place in the heart of Lucca.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The apartment was super cozy, spotless and beautifully decorated. There was a great self-service selection of drinks and snacks — such a nice touch. The rooftop terraces were amazing, whether for enjoying the morning sun or having an apertivo in the evening. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, and the bathroom was modern, clean and had a really good shower. The location couldn’t be better — just a short walk from the train station and close to all the lovely restaurants and charming streets. It was peaceful and quiet at night, both inside the building and in the neighborhood. We truly felt at home and would love to come back. Highly recommended!

Good location. Disappointing. Unfriendly and poorly run.

Location was central. Unpretentious. Individual style.

Property is being renovated with rooms and communal areas available on one level. Host was unobtainable to let us in - entry was done remotely with no direction to the first floor where the room was. Complimentary glass of wine was not available without asking. We were locked out on the balcony area and host did not respond to our dilemma. Ultimately we sought assistance from a passer by in the street for door to be unlocked. There was no indication that the use of air conditioning was an extra to be charged later.

Friendly host who suggested great restaurant serving local specialties and provided complimentary snacks and coffee each day. Comfy bed. A very unique environment. Loved having coffee on the terrace.

The location is perfect, the room had a big terrace, the hosts were very helpful and nice. We got welcome drinks and breakfast. The kitchen had snacks and drinks that were at our disposal.

Superb

This was a wonderfully comfortable place to have as a base in Lucca. The room was spacious and able to be kept at a good temperature during heatwave Cerberus. The furniture and decoration was fun but comfortable. The shared kitchen was well equipped so there was the opportunity to eat in instead of going out.

A "unique" place with an owner who did not want to take a credit card payment.

Good points were the location, the nice terrace and the unique style.

I left two nights into a 4-night stay because of an unresolved billing issue. The owner made me feel bad about choosing the "pay at the hotel" option and wanted me to pay cash, which would involve multiple ATM withdrawals. The owner said that his card reader was broken and that I would have to pay an additional fee above what Booking quoted me if I paid by credit card. I contacted Booking to see if they could help. A day later Booking called and he told them the broken card reader "was temporary" and after that he again requested that I pay in cash and cancel my contract with Booking. I left after two nights, offering to pay cash for the two nights, which he turned down, threatening me that he would charge me for all kinds of extras, which he did, having access to my card number and without my consent. With his volatile reaction to Booking contacting him I began to feel very unsafe and uncomfortable. So if you DO stay here, I suggest you pay in advance and that you are very specific about not wanting extras. The premise offers to "unlock" A/C for 25 euros a day extra, which luckily I did not need. And breakfast didn't really exist beyond coffee pods, bread and cookies. In fact the one "extra" I chose was a tiny box of milk for 1 euro to put in my coffee. Things could have been cleaner as well.

The location was excellent. Some extra service from the host with no service charge and communication was very good. The facilities are great.

we didn’t find the place because the number of the street was missing. there was no one although it was check-in time. the mentioned parking place turned out to be the public parking. we should have paid 25 euro in additional for the heating. the owner couldn’t be reached via phone to discuss the situation. we left and didn’t stay there!!!!
