We very much enjoyed our stay. A perfect location within the walls of Lucca, convenient for both dining and shopping. The rooms were clean and our room was done uniquely in hand painted murals. The thing that stands out to me most during our stay was the friendly and helpful staff. We would definitely stay here again.

While I wouldn't wish my spare time in the room, it was clean and comfortable - I had trouble with controlling the lighting in the room - one switch turned everything off ( not unusual) but nothing would turn off the bathroom light which was a bit frustrating. And while I was happy to have an in-room safe - it was far too small - it couldn't even hold an iPad let alone a LapTop. However the staff were friendly and the breakfast delicious. I'd happily go back for another stay.

This is a charming hotel with very individual rooms. Quirky and fun decor. Decent-sized bathrooms. The only negative is that the decor is getting a little tired in places, and the furniture was rather poor - drawers and wardrobe a bit tatty. It is in a good central location with everything in walking distance.

This is a very well run hotel with helpful staff, within the walled area of Lucca - a good location for exploring. The room was a good size and well maintained. The buffet breakfast was impressive with seating areas inside and outside. Good wifi.

The hotel is wonderful in many respects. The location is great (just steps from Via Fillungo), it is very well maintained, and the entire staff is kind and professional. My room was extremely quiet, as well as comfortable and very clean. The breakfast buffet included in the rate is good, and you can also pay for a cooked breakfast. The restaurant is open for dinner with a weekly menu and the food is great -- the chef takes great pride in his food. If you have a heavy suitcase or any mobility issues, ask for a room on a floor with an elevator. The only minor downside is a pretty small closet and storage. I would happily stay here again!

The hotel is charming, intimate, and very well staffed. From a lovely, abundant breakfast spread with friendly and efficient staff to a roster of well-informed, helpful and friendly front desk/check-in staff, you are pleasantly surprised at every turn. At check in, upon seeing an elderly person with a cane in the party, we were immediately offered a room with easy access from the lift -- very thoughtful. The front desk handled some problems with restaurant reservations that i had made, and got us in everywhere we wanted to dine -- the hotel and team were known in those places, which helped. The bathroom was spacious, and very clean and updated. Good bed, with plenty of extra pillows. The room itself had trompe d'oeuil painting that made a normal space more interesting and charming. Well lit with adequate space, and well-heated. If i were to offer one area for improvement, it would be to have a small chest of drawers somewhere. The hotel is perfectly located in the historic center, and nothing is really more than a 5-10 minute walk away. The price included Wi-Fi and breakfast making this an even greater value than it already is.

From arrival to departure the staff in this hotel make it extra special. They are very welcoming & helpful. Our room was beautiful, bed very comfortable & lovely bathroom with shower & jacuzzi bath.
