Great staff!

I stayed in two of their properties. The staff were lovely - very helpful and hospitable. The breakfast at Il Seminario was lovely. Both places were clean and comfortable.

This one was more like an AirBnb than a B&B. I felt a bit uncomfortable at night as no one was around. It is also on the first floor and had quite a few stairs to climb. The bed was also dippy. There is no breakfast (but see above).

Too expensive for its value and parking the car was a little far.

It was clean.

The shower doors wouldn’t close properly and the water was all over the floor. It was cold at night and had to ask for the heater to be turned on. It was turned on on the first day but not on the second.

There was no staff, no fridge, no instructions to use the coffee machine in the hallway and not even one small bottle of water on arrival, no local map.In short, not very welcoming.

Everything we needed

The bedrooms are very spacious and clean with fantastic aircon units and comfortable beds. There is hanging space and storage. Great to have such a big place within the walled city and within walking distance of everything.

The shower works well but is built on a pedestal so you need to watch your balance climbing in and out. They had put non-slip insets into the steps which is helpful. It would not put me off staying there again.

Great location, clean and confortabile!

Very kind welcome from Paulo, very kind to help us with the parking issue ( thanks!!). Location is great, in the old center, easily reachable from one of the city gates. Restaurants, bars walking distance. Clean room and comfy beds! Recommended!

Exceptional

I booked this stay just hours before check in, wanting to extend my stay in beautiful Lucca a little longer! Paolo was instantly available for questions & allowed for a quick/ smooth check-in, meeting me at the property within less than 5 minutes of contacting him. The property’s value was outstanding! You get an awesome, quiet location (just 5 min to all the main attractions; I walked about 15 to the train station the next morning but I didn’t mind- Lucca is such a charming city!), super clean apartment that was certainly spacious enough for me traveling alone, but I think it’d be fine for a couple, too. There was air conditioning, a nice bathroom, a shared space in the apt. below my room with water, teas, coffee, and more. Paolo gave good recs & was available if needed. Loved this stay & will be back!

Lovely gem in Lucca

We spent a lovely night here in Lucca. Sonia is a gem, she upgraded us to a better location, breakfast included for the same price. Communication was great and we had the loveliest view from our room. The people were super accommodating, let us store our luggage there after check-out and even lent us an umbrella. Would 100% stay here again.

Good value in a beautiful city.

Good value. Not far from the hustle and bustle but tucked away enough to be quiet.

Something which I experienced at a few locations….a reallly smelly bathroom. kept the door closed all the time and that helped but had to open bathroom windows to air out each morning. Ancient town, ancient sewers I suppose? Other than this enjoyed my stay.

The host were very nice and communicative they have shared with us were to park the car and gave us some tips were to eat and what to do. The place is inside the walls so you can visit the whole city from here. There was also a nice balcony were we can seat.
