Family-run business with a personal touch,

Spacious room with AC (wow!) and such a warm, welcoming staff. Nice breakfast.

Great location, great staff, average room.

Great location, right in the center of town.

The room had a leak with a bucket to catch the water so all night long we could hear the water dripping. The next morning the bucket was full and leaking on the floor so we had to mop up the water and empty the bucket.

Staff was friendly and helpful, suggesting places to visit and restaurants with great food.

Chiara made us delicious café latte and eggs each morning to go with other wonderful breakfast selections. La Bohème is located in the center of Lucca, making everything a short walk away. The room was extremely quiet and the bed and pillows were quite comfortable.

The perfect location to be pampered while enjoying all that Lucca has to offer!!

AMAZING in all areas, location, room, breakfast, hospitality of our host. We could not have asked for a better experience. We were close to everything and in a very quiet location. It was wonderful to look down at the narrow street each morning and watch the kids walking to school. The breakfast was so special, our host attended to every need!! We will definitely stay here when we return.

Bravo La Bohème

The hotel is very central and sits in the middle of some beautifully winding streets, inside the medieval walls of Lucca. We got a great view from our window of life inside the tiny streets and how places like this manage to honor and maintain the history and characteristics of these beautiful buildings. The breakfast was very satisfying and we were well looked after. The room was cleaned daily and decorated with such care and detail.

A slice of home in Lucca

Charming and homey, we found that La Bohème was a gathering place for other patrons who come to Lucca often. We enjoyed the place and the other patrons, as they informed us about things to do. The breakfast was nice and individualized, and the rooms had everything we needed.

The hostess was outstanding - guiding us to the parking lot and talking time to facilitate talk with other driver when he reversed into our car. Alongsde lots of smile and warm guidance Breakfast was really good.

We loved our time in Lucca and our stay at La Boheme made it all the more special.

The La Boheme’s location is perfect, set within the old town of Lucca we could walk to everything, the staff were so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble, great breakfast, the hotel oozed that Tuscan charm, would definitely stay there again.

Very enjoyable, very comfortable, very well located and attended to by people who care.

Very friendly helpful staff in this lovely B & B very well located in Lucca. Some very comfortable, colourful rooms , with comfortable beds and traditionally furnished. Adequate bathroom area with a good shower. The breakfast area is quaint and comfortable and is managed by a very energetic, enthusiastic and charming young woman…scrambled eggs are her specialty. The stairs may be a challenge for the less spritely but worth the effort on arrival.

Charming, friendly B&B in the heart of the old city.

Charming old building from the 16th century, full of character. Very friendly staff, welcoming and helpful. The bathroom was great, beautifully decorated, brilliant shower. Great to have air conditioning in the room, and shutters! It was good to be in the centre of the old city yet still have quiet at night.

Lack of parking and access was tricky logistically. Breakfast offering was all on the sweet side. Eggs were only offered on one of the mornings.

Excellent location and very helpful employees

Location was very good because it was in the centre of the town. Room was a very good size

Lighting in the room was poor because bedside lights were not bright enough to be able to read a book at night. WiFi signal was very weak. I could only contact to WiFi in the first place by going into the dining room. After connecting to it I was unable to download programmes on eg Netflix. I found the sheets on the bed to be very rough.

The staff, especially Christine, was friendly and very helpful. She was always smiling and willing to help, and made sure we had a good breakfast, including eggs, a rarity in Italy.

Wonderful.

Perfect central location inside the wall to all of Lucca! Breakfast exceeded our expectations, was wonderful and plentiful. Breads, meats, cheese, danish, yogurt, cereal, fruit, eggs. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. I would definitely return again.

Lucca is a hidden gem and this hotel was perfectly in the heart of town!

Staff, Chiara, was super helpful booking an airport taxi and doing research to find a Vespa rental for us. And the breakfast was great!
