All in all, it was a pleasant stay.

Breakfast was just okay. The pancakes were ice cold. The hard boiled eggs and fruit were good. The rest was a lot of unhealthy pastries. My husband liked the meat and cheese. We liked that the shower was a good one! And we liked that there was a safe and a refrigerator in the room. Dinner at the connecting restaurant was good.

Price of the room was a bit high, even via booking.com. Parking was very expensive at 35 EU per day.

We had a luxurious few days getaway at The Tuscanian in Lucca.

The staff were friendly and helpful. They were so welcoming to my dog. The design was thoughtful and so cozy. Breakfast was bountiful and delicious.

High standard hotel and room. Great restaurant, was also open along all the afternoon. Located in the very center. Very friendly and helpful staff.

I would like the window in the room to be a bit more accessible, but I guess this is the contraints of a middle age building.

Excellent traditional hotel

Absolutely wonderful hotel. The room was large and the beds very comfortable very comfortable. Reception was very welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast was nicely presented. We did come back to the hotel bar which was very comfortable and inviting. Overall, a lovely hotel of excellent quality.

Beautiful hotel, nice room., good breakfast and dinner spot.

The parking was very complicated and the staff didn’t communicate well with us on that. We missed out on half a day in Lucca because we couldn’t get our car to the property to even park.

Very enjoyable with some minor niggles.

The location is excellent. The restaurant attached, although a separate business, I believe, is excellent for ambiance, food and quality wines.

We had a suite which we upgraded to and we loved the space. However, the lighting could have been better in the bathroom over / in the shower. It did appear very dark. The hairdryer in the bathroom was awful, in that you had to hold the button down for it to operate, which I understand for H&S reasons, but it was so weak power wise. I was supplied with a back-up very quickly, which was slightly better. We had tea and coffee making facilities but no milk in the fridge. Became a nuisance having to ring down for stuff. We shouldn’t have had to for the upgraded room. There is a CD in the room which didn’t work, but the radio did and was rather crackly.

A lovely hotel to stay in, in Lucca.

The property has a lot of character. The furniture & fittings were high quality. The staff were very friendly & helpful. We had a kettle in our room which seems rare in Italy. We could open the french doors & it was lovely. The room was comfortable & clean. The hotel is in a good location to explore Lucca. The restaurant in the hotel was excellent.

Tuscan delight

Wonderful hotel set in the midst of Lucca (the walled city) very helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was good although I would suggest they let you know you can have cooked items too as this wasn't explained on day one. Other than that it was fantastic.

Wonderfull stay, and beginning to Italy.

Our first stay for a three week tour through many areas in Italy. This site was recommended by our friends who travel very often. They said it is an excellent introduction to Italian history, culture, pacing, food, people, and an easy pace. We loved our stay here within the walled city. Everything is close in proximity. The hotel restaurant is exceptional, breakfast and dinner were our times to eat here. Marvelous style, great servers, and treatment to customers. The manager is very helpful with the local sites, things to do, and especial stories about Lucca history. We moved onto to Florence which was excellent, though we missed our Lucca and the hotel, riding bikes, gelato etc.

This site offers plenty I can't think of any improvement.
