Love the resort. Stayed April 2025 and booked the next month to come back January 2026 with friends. They loved it as much as us. Beautiful facilities and the staff are amazing. Thank you for making our stay perfect.

Great location, super friendly staff.
Service was fairly slow for drinks at the bar and pool.
Quality of cocktails could improve
Overall hotel a little tired and could do with a revamp to take it to the next level.
Breakfast could have better health options like the intercontinentals build your own bowl section

Great swimming pool, great staff, nice rooms, good value for money.
Could add some sun beds and umbrellas on the beach.

Everything. It’s beautiful. Lots of greenery and great location. Staff, service and food excellent. Lagoon pool room great.
Nothing worth mentioning really. The steps into the lagoon pool are high so we asked for another one and it was installed immediately- so nothing was too much trouble.

Staff all very helpful.

Loved the location off the beach. Enjoyed the en-suite private plunge pool.
For the 500 suites -- privacy would be a concern if the Tree Bar at the property is open where diners could look over to resort suites.)

The comfort of the rooms, the beautiful pool, fantastic beach front location, the delicious food and overall cleanliness.
I (and other fellow parents I met during my time at the Maya) found the staff at the kids club not overly warm with the children. Constantly hearing them telling the children “no” rather than letting them just be kids. A little disappointed with this.

Great location next to beach, amazing staff and lovely spacious room
Nothing I didn’t like

The room was lovely and the house keeping staff very friendly. The butler service was great and access via WhatsAPP was excellent. I loved the bathroom, so much so, that I want to use some of the ideas in my own at home. The direct access to the pool was great and generally everything in the room was clean.
The pool alongside the rooms is nearly always full of leaves. The vegetation, whilst lovely, was not a good choice for over a pool area. Consider different vegetation. I noticed the main pool also gathered sunscreen scum on the water surface in the corner of the steps at the end of the pool furthest from the beach. We had an issue with an amount billed to our account ($40) that we thought was incorrect. The staff were attentive trying to resolve this but ultimately when we gave in and left the matter unresolved to our satisfaction, it left us with a poor view of the hotel and we vowed to not dine or make any purchases from the hotel again. We ate and drank exclusively at other venues. Had Maya offered us restitution of the $40 or even a complimentary cocktail, we may have continued to eat and drink at the hotel - so in the end the hotel lost out obn revenue. We also had issues with the TV loosing internet (instability) and on 2 nights we could not watch Netflix. It was felt some compensation (free drink) could have been offered.

The lagoon suites were very well located , laid out and appointed.
The main lobby and entrance are austere and off putting. They really need livening up

It has a beach, walking distance to great restaurants and a great place for sunrise and a food walk by the beach.
The chicken tenders at the bar were not good

Sadly the roadworks in Sanur make it impossible to enjoy the local shops etc, but that will pass.

Our suite had a private pool however never got natural light. Really disappointing with the amount we paid. It felt like we were in a bunker.

It was our first time visiting Sanur and Maya was a great place to stay! Breakfast buffet was incredibly delicious. Staff were so lovely and always remembered us and interacted with our son. The complementary daily afternoon tea was such a nice treat. The pools are so nice and there was always beds for us to lie on. Table service by the pool was excellent too. We had a babysitter who also took our son to the kids club daily where he had lots of fun. The bar and restaurant is beach side and the views were just stunning and peaceful. They had music entertainment at the bar most nights from what I could recall and that was a great addition too.
It’s pricey but you pay for what you get!
Also, not so much a criticism but having a baby with us I would’ve loved if the room could have a sectioned off area that some hotels tend to have where your baby can sleep in the cot soundly and you can be in the room at the same time without disrupting them.

We loved staying here. We were only here for two nights and one full day and it wasn’t long enough. The staff were lovely. The facilities were great.
Nothing.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Accomodation clean, comfortable and modern. Tried 2 of restaurants onsite which were very good - in particular RUE which served excellent coffee and food was very good.
The Spa was exceptional. Booked a 2 hour special Bali massage package which was amazing and left me feeling like I was floating on air. Highly recommend.
Service and food at the Tree Bar was patchy.

Great location. Big structure, but somehow not overcrowded.
Beautiful architecture with full score for the pool/bar area
Nothing really.

The ambience is second to none. The design is breathtaking. Our “nest” room was on the 4th floor and we felt like we were in the treetops. Stunning resort.
While the property boasts 3 pools, you only feel as though you can use the main “infinity pool” as the other 2 pools seem to belong to the rooms beside them. Finding a sun lounge at the Infinity pool was sometimes hard for that reason as everyone went there.

Rooms were excellent and treetop bar.
A bit over priced compared to other grander resorts in other parts of bali. Underwhelming foyer/ entrance are and a bit tired. Pool a bit dirty.

This was our second stay at the Maya and we love staying there. The staff are wonderful and they were all particularly helpful when one of our children wasn’t feeling well. The reception arranged a nurse to come and check him and organise the correct medication, then later that day we received a call to check on him and the offer of soup and other food to be brought to our room. They really looked after us well.
The only small thing was that the pool is open until 8pm but the staff packed up around us at sundown (about 6pm) which felt a bit awkward as we tried to relax and swim.

Big resort with several swimming pools. Great location. Very clean. The breakfast buffet was amazing with lots of choice of food and drinks. The tea time was also a highlight in our day. Fun activities for little kids. My children did the private cooking class which they loved! Free yoga classes for adults were fantastic, as was the fitness centre. We did not use the spa, but it looked amazing too.
We had a room for 4 people with two double beds, but the beds were a bit small for two adults. We slept with one child and one adult per bed, but still it felt quite small and the adults did not sleep too well.
The kids club had some nice activities, but catered mostly to very small kids under the age of 6. Our 8 and 9 year olds preferred to stay with us.

The a la carte breakfast was very enjoyable. Interesting and tasty options with good coffee.
The butler service was excellent with very thoughtful staff. We felt very pampered and well cared for when I was unwell. The spa staff were very skilled and the treatments were luxurious.
The bed pillows were flat and uncomfortable.

High standard hotel, beautiful grounds, lovely staff.
4 people in suite with 2 queen beds almost attached to each other, would not recommend.
In my opinion, low value for money. Especially since breakfast was not even included. This hotel was the most expensive of our stay and not the most comfortable.
5.0 / 10.0
Staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms very spacious and modern and very well serviced. Good location for a variety of restaurants. On the beach. The tree bar was lovely.
The pool area is very small for a hotel of this size. It was very difficult to relax. Not enough sunloungers. The food was disappointing. Long delay for breakfast at the pizza restaurant part of the hotel (over 45 mins) and when it eventually arrived it was too cold to eat. The hotel seems to be a popular with families with young kids. I wouldnt recommend this hotel for couples or anyone looking for a relaxing holiday by the pool.

A beautiful hotel with lush gardens overlooking the beach. Staff were lovely and the breakfast was excellent. We also enjoyed a Pilates class and a fabulous massage!

Lots of pool options (especially if you book a lagoon pool room), many restaurants in the resort and nearby to eat at (including a fantastic Japanese at the street end of the resort). The brilliant virtual butler team were a huge help to us e.g. obtaining a boot to immobilise my foot (small bone broken during my travels) and having it delivered. Especially Yuni, I Gede and I Made). The resort is generally very accessible, apart from the spa which has a long staircase to access the treatment rooms. I broke a bone in my foot while travelling and was overjoyed to be loaned a wheelchair which was heaven for me after getting around on crutches.
Not an issue for me but may be for some-the lagoon pool in August doesn’t get much sun. If you want to sun-bake the beachside pool is better.
