Relaxed and rejuvenated in Sanur - Prime Plaza Suites ticked all the boxes for a fantastic family holiday!

Prime Plaza Suites Sanur exceeded my expectations! The staff were super friendly and helpful, making our family holiday unforgettable. The kids loved the waterslide and kids' club, and we enjoyed the relaxing pool area. Our suite was spacious and clean, with a great view. Location was perfect for exploring Sanur Beach and local cafes. Would definitely stay here again!

A fantastic family-friendly stay!

The staff are friendly and they create a fantastic atmosphere. The Happy Hour was also excellent! It lasted from midday to 8:00pm and you were able to get select 2-for-1 drinks.

Family friendly great location fantastic breakfast

This is our seconded time staying here and we just love this place. We are a family of 5 with 3 teenagers and it has a great pool and Gym that the boys use. It has a back gate with security guard that leads to an ally way and a short walk that takes you to the main street of Sanur. Breakfast is fantastic with a great variety of foods to cater for everyone.

Self catered apartments with hotel perks

We stayed in a three bedroom apartment as a family of 7 people. The apartment was clean, huge and the self catered kitchen was very helpful for making kid’s snacks etc. The hotel is very family focused with lots of activities and a nice pool area. The kids area is a little bit tired but has some fun games for older kids and a small section of soft toys for younger ones. The water slide area was a huge hit. We came in a busy period and it didn’t feel too crowded, with pool lounges always available. Breakfast buffet was pretty good, with a small gluten free section, and there’s some good dine in/room service options. Our kids can get bored in villas and claustrophobic in hotel rooms. So this was a good combo of apartment/hotel experience- worked really well our large family group.

There’s a lot of reviews about the location. We’ve stayed in a few different places in Sanur and always avoided this one because we love the beach area. But we booked as we had a bigger group. Honestly the location was fine for us most of the time. It’s a lovely 5 minute walk to the shopping street and another 5 to the beach out the back gate. The only time it was an issue was when it rained heavily and the back streets were flooded. Then it was a bit of a pain getting transport to the restaurants/beach - there’s quite a bit of traffic around the new Icon mall. And walking back along the main road is tricky with kids. We probably wouldn’t stay here again in rainy season for this reason. Any other time of the year it’s fine.

Great place. Great base.

Great accommodation. Very spacious and well appointed suite. New and modern decor and furniture. Central courtyard and pool area was great. The kids area, pool and facilities as well as the organised timetable of kids activities was wonderful. We met family here for a holiday and had a wonderful 6 days. Would highly recommend.

Great for families!

The facilities available were perfect for a family with young kids. The staff were very friendly and helped with everything we needed. They were happy to chat and very easygoing. The food was great and the chefs were accommodating to our dietary requests. We enjoyed the variety at breakfast especially! The pool was very suitable for our toddler and the kids club was more than we expected. Special shout out to Yugi from the kids club who made our daughter feel welcome!

The fitness club was small and didn’t have too much equipment. Also would have been nice to have it open earlier/close later.

Bliss - will definitely be back!

We loved everything about the place. We were a group of 19 family and friends celebrating my 50th birthday. The staff simply couldn't do enough for us from greeting us warmly every time we saw them to providing us with food and drinks around the pool and in our rooms. I was even sung happy birthday by the staff and gifted a cake, fruit bowl and bottle of bubbly which was organised by my friends. We were able to all gather by the pool for happy hour every day (12pm - 8pm - buy one get one free cocktails - yum!). Quite simply nothing was too much trouble. The teenagers were happy and the parents were happy.

I found the pillows not great for my neck but everything else was fantastic.

Great stay for families

The beds were comfy, and the kids club was incredible. The staff are super helpful and very smiley, they even surprised me with a delicious birthday cake! There were so many options for breakfast each day.

The couches in the room were like outdoor furniture that kept separating and were not very comfy.

Great for the kids & swimming, but hotel rooms are lacking

The facilities for the kids was amazing!! They thought of everything and had so many fun things and activities to do. The pool was also spotless and well maintained. The outdoor cinema was also a great addition. Truly a kids paradise.

The rooms were very outdated and grimy. They were kept fairly clean, but very old and dark. You don’t stay here for the room. You stay here purely for the kids facilities.

Wonderful Stay with Great Service, Hoping for a Calmer Spa Next Time

The staff were absolutely beautiful and so friendly. We especially loved the cleaner we had on our second day. He was so much fun he made the kids a towel animal which they adored. The team in the breakfast and dining areas were also wonderful. So friendly, helpful and welcoming throughout our stay.

What I didn’t love was that our fridge stopped working on the first night, although it was fixed quickly which I appreciated. The main issue for me was the spa experience. We paid quite a lot for our treatments, but the spa room was very loud because it was so close to the pool area. I could hear yelling, splashing and general pool noise the whole time, which made it hard to relax. I also had a scrub treatment and then had to shower in a bath, which felt a bit awkward. I later visited the sister hotel for another treatment and the difference was huge. Their spa had its own dedicated space and felt peaceful and like a proper sanctuary. I really wish my first treatment could have been there, as the price at the main hotel didn’t quite match the experience. The treatment packages also weren’t clearly explained. It was hard to know what each one involved, so I found myself going back up to the spa to ask for clarification. More detailed descriptions would make it much easier for guests to choose the right treatment.

All the staff are wonderful. The rooms are so spacious and comfortable. The food and beverage choices around the pool are fantastic. Buffet breakfast has good options for everyone's taste. We always feel welcome and safe at this beautiful resort.

Great facilities for kids, including kids club, kids pool, movie nights on the lawn/ outdoor restaurant, babysitting & child-minding service’s. Rooms were fantastic, clean and great size (we had 3 bed balcony room) Nasi Goreng from restaurant & pool bar was delicious as wee the rice bowls

Ice creams from hotel pool bar area (freezer chest) expensive - better using the shop on site Some translation & communication issues with some reception staff Wish the hotel had more options for authentic Bali dishes on the menu. A lot was westernised which was a little disappointing

The kids loved the slide! It really was the best thing about our stay. We loved the happy hour also!

The whole place looks a bit tired and in need of sprucing up. Our room had little bits that were in need of fixing or repairing. On arrival the staff didn’t really even acknowledge us, they were much less friendly than our other stays. Most of the staff look tired and over it. My biggest disappointment was the pool. With only two entrance steps it was hard to get around. It was also extremely slippery tiles in the pool so we all slipped several times which led to minor injury. The main issue however was the pools temperature! We would come back from a day out exploring and the pool would be so hot it was like walking into a hot bath. It was not enjoyable and cooler to just get out. Not sure what can be done but it was awful. We didn’t love the location and wouldn’t stay on the main road again. The children’s club area underneath has no air conditioning, (all of the hotel has no air conditioning - it all open air plan) it’s a cement basement with no paint etc. and most things are broken in there. It looks quite dodgy to be honest. I feel like the food was also really basic, we really had to start ordering out as it wasn’t great. But good selection. Also the day spa area was not a nice clean looking space. It was old and dated, and we could hear all the noise from the hotel, no music playing or anything.

Great option if you are on a budget.

The rooms were spacious, with a full kitchen provided which helps those who want to self cater. The door out the back of the hotel was a great shortcut way out to the lanes, which provided access to several Warung's which are close by and great for dinner options. The large pool, plus children's pool/waterslide were great - my kids spent majority of there time swimming! The main pool was open until 9pm, which was great!

The hotel is a little dated and basic, which is demonstrated in the price paid. The food is very expensive for what you get, compared with local Warung's around the area.

Great family accommodation

Good sized rooms and comfortable beds. Kids club available, kids pool with slide. Staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. Buffet breakfast was delicious. Asked for two rooms next to each other and they were able to accommodate.

Location is further back from the beach/shopping/restatants, than we would have liked, however we knew this when booking accommodation.

Great value family stay with kids.

Excellent value for family with kids, huge apartments, very comfortable , beds very comfy, and daily cleaning was first class. Bathrooms clean and good showers, Great breakfast buffet with plenty of choices. Pools are amazing for adults and children, kids pool with big slide and lifeguard. Lots of activities for kids into the evening. Staff are all friendly and helpful and there is a good family vibe around the place. Baby sitting /nanny service in house lots of families used this and kids always looked happy and safe, big shaded play area between the 2 big pools. Would definitely stay again if family holiday with kids.

Distance from beach walk area is a good 20 min walk and with small kids was too much to do frequently. There is a shuttle bus at set times which is good. We hired bicycles which was fine with kid seats. The back door which allows easier access to beach roads only opens at 7am and closes at 9pm. Hours open would be better 6am till late. Amazing value for money despite the above and would still choose again with young kids and family.

Great family friendly hotel we would definitely come back to

We stayed in the 3 bedroom suite/ apartment and it was really spacious. Having the kitchen and fridge was so handy. Complimentary clean drinking machines also was great. We had the buffet breakfast each morning and it had a great variety of food. The Kids always found something to eat . The pool side food and drinks are delicious as is the room service. We didn’t have a meal we didn’t enjoy. They have happy hour each afternoon also and we found it all to be super affordable..Our favourite part was the kids pool area and entertainment . Lots to do, they hold competitions and Games daily. This is really great of you are looking for a family friendly experience. Has a back gate to the beach walk however is a little far to walk if you have small kids but was super easy to organise transport with the hotel taxi service or calling a bluebird. They also run a free shuttle throughout the day. Staff are all Beautiful and went above and beyond for us . First time staying here ( we stayed a week) and will definitely be back again!

Location was difficult at times. Would recommend walking out the front on the main road anywhere as it’s very busy and dangerous. With small kids the beach walk is quite far but we found transport so easy to get it wasn’t really an issue.

A rat was seen in the pool on our first day. Also a child broke a glass water bottle and it went in the pool. There should not be glass available around the pool as it’s really dangerous. It was disappointing the running machine in the gym was out of order for the whole week.

Breakfast was great! Nice range of food. They also accommodated gluten free very well! Pool, games and water slide made for great family fun. We love the short walk into town down the interesting local back street too.

We would have liked clear glass on the balcony railing so we have a view of the pool, rather than frosted glass
