Love Besakih Beach Hotel. It may not be 5 star but has everything you need.

A grand old lady, due for maintenance but still good value for money for its location.

Rooms were comfortable and large. Staff really helped when the air con did not work and moved us to another room. The grounds have lovely gardens. Staff in general were all lovely. It is pretty good value for money if you want to be on the beachfront. Would have been a grand old lady in her time. Great location for restaurants, Icon Bali, including cinemas (on wet days).

The pool was too small. When kids were in it you could not keep distance between you. The building is getting old and needs major maintenance. The breakfast was very ordinary, very limited choices, eggs under-cooked and bacon over-cooked, no herbal teas, only black tea. We were not comfortable trying other food at the hotel. Towels for both bathroom and pool use were very old and in need of replacing. People smoked at tables and on balconies, so there was often the smell of cigarettes around. It meant limited use of the balcony. Only one key was provided and no more allowed. The beach is an improvement on Kuta but still not nice swimming, and only high tide.

Convenient proximity to airport, beachside promenade access to nearby shopping centre and museum, market stalls. Pool used as a quick dip. 24hr desk and welcoming concierge on arrival.

Staff very pleasant. Good breakfast - simple buffet with eggs made to order. Pool was clean. Location perfect - beachfront, and along beach walkway to everything (ICON, beach, restaurants, etc)

Likely a wonderful resort 20 years ago. Needs updating, especially bathroom - our sink leaked for the entire time even though they sent people daily to fix the issue. Beds are comfortable and A/C works well. Donna Spa across the street is the perfect place for a massage!

We made the best of a bad thing.

It was close to all the amenities that we needed.

The first room we were given was filthy. We asked to be moved and then had to give a lesson in cleanliness to the poor man who was moving us. To his credit he spent about 2 hours deep cleaning years of dust and grime to make our new room just about acceptable.

Beach front location, beach towels provided good buffet breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful garden with lots of wildlife.

Not the hotel’s fault, but the pavement on the road side was a nightmare of repairs making it difficult to explore further afield.

As a solo female traveler, I was unhappy that my room location was at the back of the property and an upstairs location. At night, the stairwell down had bushes by it and the pathway to restaurant and pool was dimly lit and obscured at times. The area was safe but I still felt uncomfortable walking alone after dark. Staff were not easily identifiable. I should have requested a room change but so had arrived during the day, my stay was short and I had already unpacked

Rooms need updating. Pool bar needs to be staffed and fridge needs to be stocked instead of them having to walk all the way over to the restaurant for drinks. Also needs music and the bar as there is no atmosphere

Great location, Amazing staff... but in need of an update!

I stayed at the Besakih about 15 years ago, and chose it again for a 4 night stay, purely due to its location on the beach. I knew it is a tired Hotel that needs a full renovation, but a hotel right on Sanur beach for the price, is worth it in my books. You are a 4 min walk to Icon and 5 min walk to the markets, and you have access to amazing restaurants on the beach either side of the hotel to eat. And the best part besides the location, is the staff. The staff are so helpful and friendly, and truly are the reason I'd stay here again if in Sanur.
