Besakih Beach Hotel

We loved the beachfront pool and beach sun lounges, the breakfast was delicious with plenty of options, the staff are lovely. The gardens are beautifully kept and Balinese style. Location is great too with lots of shops and warungs nearby

The location is perfect. Cleaning, gardening and front office staff were lovely. Gardens are beautiful

Towels smelled bad every single day! Sun loungers around the pool are “saved” first thing in the morning by people who don’t use them until later in the day. Restaurant staff were not welcoming or interested in service

Location and pools

My room was run down. Toilet had to be fixed twice. TV didn’t work. Sheets in need of an upgrade. Fridge needed defrosting. The place is just tired.

The highlight of this accommodation was definitely the location! 🌴 It’s right on the main high street, surrounded by plenty of restaurants, cafés and little places to explore, while also being right along the coastline. The hotel is just steps away from the beach and really easy to get to. It was also super convenient to rent a bike and explore the area, especially for catching the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets. 🌅🚲 Overall, a great location if you want everything within easy reach while still being close to the beach!

I completely understand that we’re not in Europe and that cleaning standards can sometimes differ, but unfortunately, I felt that the overall cleanliness wasn’t quite up to the standard I would have expected. The bathroom in particular could have been cleaner — the bathroom mat and toilet paper holder were visibly yellow, and there was no hand soap provided. When we asked for some, we were told that hand soap wasn’t included for that type of room, which I found quite surprising. There were also a few communication issues during our stay. I’m not sure whether this was simply a language barrier or if there was sometimes a misunderstanding, but it did make a few situations a little frustrating. One other thing that was disappointing was the use of the pool sunbeds. There were guests who would leave their towels on the sunbeds and then disappear for breakfast or go for walks for hours, meaning the beds were technically occupied but not actually being used. As a result, we sometimes couldn’t find anywhere to sit by the pool, which was a shame. Overall, I think a little more attention to cleanliness, communication and pool etiquette would really improve the experience.
