Extremely bad faith hotel - book at your own risk!

Location

This is THE WORST customer service we have ever received. Our room stank, it was unbearable- which is very hard to evidence. We immediately raised our concern by calling the contact number as there’s often no staff onsite- but instead of receiving a constructive solution, we were offered no alternatives and met with a dismissive, unsympathetic response. They would rather we stayed somewhere else instead of seeing to our issue/uninhabitable room, so we luckily managed to book another hotel for the night and were told that someone could come in two hours to investigate. When we returned the next day, we were told no one had come to fix the problem because the host assumed we were “staying elsewhere”, despite us not being given any alternative. We were then told they would resolve the issue and call us once it was done. That afternoon they claimed it was resolved, but upon returning the horrendous smell remained. The receptionist — who had not checked the room before calling us to return — entered with two other staff members, and all three agreed the smell continued. This demonstrates on two occasions that the matter was not taken seriously. We are very disappointed. A lot of our time in Annecy was wasted with back-and-forth to the hotel, awaiting resolutions that never came. It caused so much upset at the start of our trip and has continued for months afterwards, as we and booking.com have been ignored for almost three months now. This experience has not only disrupted our trip but left us feeling unwelcome and upset. Rather than offering meaningful assistance, the way this situation was handled made us feel dismissed and blamed. They will accuse you of being threatening and harassing and state things that are factually untrue. Our dispute was twisted into an accusation of “aggression”. I was in the first trimester of pregnancy and shouldn’t have to explain why I needed a room (I had booked and paid for) to rest and recover in that wasn’t smelly.

Comfortable small hotel in great location - 'Cottage core' decoration, yet surprisingly clean!

Small hotel in ideal location just above the lake tour-boat dock on the edge of old town. Public car park just down the alley. Manager (owner?) was gracious to accommodate us for an extended stay, though at full rate. Tip: Do not pay 35€ for 'all day' public parking. instead, pay for all except the last hour - then go back in the evening and pay for a few ore hours - as parking 'rolls over' to the next day at a much lower rate.

We should have read the reservation listing more carefully, as breakfast was mentioned, but was NOT included. Surprised by bill at the end, but breakfast was good, and I can't say I wasn't warned. Always review listings carefully before reserving! Hot water was out one morning, but quickly repaired.

Nice location

Good location, hotel itself nice decoration.

It was self check in, our check in was fine because staff still at the hotel but after than there was a couple who came and cannot get in the hotel. So they were yelling out side and bang the door too many time. We can’t rest and we end up went down to open the door for them. Our opinion hotel should provide more staff for late check in.

Stay was not long enough.

The location is perfect, close to the old town and all the wonderful things you want to see. Parking is available very close by which is very useful if driving. The weekly market is well worth visiting if it coincides with your trip.

Needed to stay longer. If you have heavy luggage it might be an issue with the narrow stairs on the way up and down.

Cute design, good location, BUT that‘s about it.

Cute design, good location, BUT that‘s about it: bedsheets not smelling fresh, beds too soft, no TV in the room, no fridge, no safe and most of all, NO own parking even though it’s listed among their services on booking.com. Public parking is nearby but full. Too expensive for what it is.

Le Boutik Hotel was charming and comfortable.

Lovely old mansion, eclectic design, the night we stayed there was live music in the courtyard. Air conditioning is always a plus in France.

Perfect place to stay in Annecy!

This was a truly great place to stay in Annecy. The location is perfect, the room was very comfortable-great a/c!!! There was a lovely garden patio to enjoy breakfast and morning coffee, and the staff was so lovely and helpful. Highly recommend.

Cutest spot to stay in Annecy

The location is hard to beat. A charming house so close to the lake and a stone's throw from the old town. The property itself is very charming. Trendy and fresh decor, lovely staff, spacious cute room. We didnt have breakfast at the hotel so I cannot comment on that but we were happy with everything.

The hotel is funky, fabulous and tres chic, but don’t expect doormen and snootiery

The hotel was located in an 1885 building, the decorations were hip, fabulous and funky. Clementine checked us in and helped us to our room which over looked the square. Annecy is a treasure and Le Botique is the gem. I would love to live there forever! Highly recommend!

Didn’t like that my search was for a place that had a recharge statio for electric vehicles, and that this hotel appeared first in the search, with listed in facilities (that we’d assume are hotel facilities) a charging station. It actually didn’t have one, nor parking, and the guy who answered the phone who apparently was the owner was very rude when I tried to tell him that there was an issue in the advertising and could be misleading. He couldn’t care less as he had told me not to worry and that there was a charging station 20 meters away. The charging station in question wasn’t working and I had to leave the car almost a kilometer away and walk under the rain to the hotel. On my only day off this month, not what I was looking for. Maybe the search could be clearer: charging possible “on premises” or something along those lines.

Location is ideal to visit Annecy

the location is simply ideal walking distance to everywhere in town but in a quiet corner to be able to enjoy peace. The staff were very helpful they gave us excellent recommendations.

The decor of the room was trying too hard. EVERYTHING was white, as though that is somehow charming. The window was high and narrow (dormer) and the (sound) insulation not good. Old stuff can be charming, but they need someone (an interior decorator) to guide them in their choices.
