Hébé Hotel

My rate included breakfast and it was just right. One could chose the juice, yogurt or breakfast toast and an assortment of breads plus coffee. I could not even finish it . The staff was excellent. They all spoke English and they were very polite and helpful especially to this lone female traveler. It is a small boutique hotel only a 5 minute walk to Annecy Train station. There was a grocery store right around the corner and a 10 minute walk to the old town centre and lake with numerous restaurants. I loved that the hotel was very quiet It conveniently located .

I wasn’t prepared for how small the room was. There wasn’t a designated bathroom and all the facilities were open directly to the room . It was a tight well- planned area. It was fine for just me but I couldn’t think it would big enough for 2 . There is not any privacy . But There might be larger rooms .

Staff were amazing. So welcoming and helpful. Decor is lovely

Room was quite small. Tea wasn’t replenished

Great location to the old town and train station and fabulous E-bikes to hire which we rode around the lake!

We were driving and found it hard to find car park

The location is excellent, very close to the train and bus station and within easy walking distance of Annecy’s old town. There is also a supermarket nearby, our room had a small balcony, and the hotel has a pleasant smell. Unfortunately, that is where the positives ended for us.

The room was extremely small, with barely enough space to walk down one side of the bed. The bedside tables were so tiny as to be virtually useless and there was nowhere to put anything. There wasn’t really a bathroom: the sink was actually in the bedroom, while the toilet and shower were in separate cupboards opening directly off the room. The shower had see through doors, which offered very little privacy. Housekeeping also left a lot to be desired. We were provided with paper cups rather than glasses, and on two days these weren’t replenished. The shower mat wasn’t replaced either. The towels were small and rough. Our arrival didn’t create a particularly good first impression. We arrived at around 2.35pm for a 3pm check-in on a very hot day and were greeted outside by a receptionist who was smoking. Outside We were told the room wasn’t ready and to return at 3pm. There was no comfortable lounge or reception area in which to wait and we weren’t offered so much as a glass of water. We travel a great deal this was our 16th hotel stay this year and this was, without question, the poorest value for money of any of them. It may suit someone looking for a stylish, conveniently located base for a night or two, but for a longer stay we found it cramped, uncomfortable and very disappointing for something marketed as a four-star hotel.
