Old world hotel charm and excellent service. The spa(which allowed kids) was a huge win. We booked based on the pool in the spa and used it 3 times.
While not a terrible issue, the hotel is located roughly 15-20mins walk from the old downtown (where/what you want to see). If the weather is nice then it isn’t an issue and maybe a plus. If raining, then it’s not great.

Amazing. Exceptional on all levels. Highlight of my trip.
Nothing! It was fantastic!

We knew it was a quality establishment and room and facilities matched our expectations. But the staff were tremendous throughout at the desk, concierge desk, restaurant and room staff. There were a number of touches such as complimentary bottles of water, fruit juice and chocolates and just an overall friendliness and willingness to help.
Nothing- everything was perfect.

It was all really very very good. Ok we got slapped when we paid extra for a "view" but i suppose that is upselling for you. But the place and the staff were amazing. Thank you.

Exceptional service from the staff and the room was beautiful, the bed very comfortable. We had dinner in one of the restaurants for 31 Dec, the food was just delicious and the albienxe really festive.

- Location.
- The view.
- I was on the 7th floor, and there were a lot of noises coming from the 8th floor. It sounded like chairs being moved.
- The furnitures are a bit old.

We went there to celebrate a birthday and the birthday "package" was amazing, champagne and an excellent cake, and we were upgraded to a room with lake view. Staff is very friendly and we had a really nice stay. Very large double bed, super comfortable.
The spa area was not as expected, we were given a schedule late afternoon and asked to respect it, which we did. When we arrived it was absolutely packed with families who had been there for a long time and certainly not respected the hourly schedule. The hammam and sauna were so full we couldn't use them. We would have expected a more "cosy" and relaxing atmosphere, it felt like a public swimming pool.

It’s a nice property from outside located at the gorgeous place and the view is the only nice thing about this hotel.
Unfortunately it’s hardly a 3 star hotel not speaking of more, as there are no facilities, the rooms are dated and require renovation, the spa is very old fashioned, only the name spa the rest is in bad state. There is no swimming pool outside and no terrace to enjoy the sun and chill on sunbed which is a sin in such a location. The hotel it is not as described and needs renovation. It’s in fact located at the public beach where during the day all sorts of people walk around and lay naked under each tree and drink beer… in short this place is classless. And it’s not worth the money. And we would say in comparison to some other places this is a rip off. If you expect a lavish staying it’s not the case.

Great location. Attentive staff.
Frustrating system that all food and drink has to be signed for at cashier’s desk. Much easier if we could sign at the table.

The location and building are truly spectacular.
It feels as if management are absent or have an extremely poor understanding of their clientele and the level of hotel there are presenting themselves to be.
The restaurant:
Service was terrible. We were asked by 3 different servers to order too quickly. Once the food came they never again approached us. Not to refill water. Not to ask how the food was. Not even to ask if we’d like dessert. And the food was not great. No sauce. Probably a kilogram of potatoes. The meat was done well, but there were hardly any vegetables. The only question came at the end of the meal: “are you finished”? The decor is generally tasteful in maybe and beige, which is completely distributed by a black and neon painting of jellyfish. I might not be surprised in some parts of the world, but this is new for me in France.
The room:
Relatively comfortable, but with black marks on 2 of the sheets (see the photos). The blackout curtains were not effective. This is a part of the world where the sun comes up very early in summer. The bathroom was nothing special, not the level I’d expect for this standard.
The gym:
Basically a closet. High quality equipment squeezed so it barely fits and much of it does not fit at all. There is a fitness mat rolled up to use, presumably in the hallway because there is no space in the gym itself. There’s also a weight bench wedged against the wall so it is likewise unusable.
Electric charging:
A first for me, being asked to pay extra for this. Every hotel I’ve been this is complimentary, usually a promotional partnership with a car or electric company. Not only that, the charge was significantly higher than at any Tesla supercharger. A slow charger should never cost this, so they’re using this as yet another profit center.
Casino:
Last but not least, quite tacky. They also said this is where the Italian restaurant is which dies not require a reservation. Presumably there is nice outdoor seating, but it is in the Alps and can get chilly at night.

Quite incredible location on the shore of Lake Annecy. Valet service and concierge greeted us on arrival, excellent service and top quality hotel. Ate in the restaurant the first night, dog friendly terrace and really nice meal. Room was large and comfortable.
Nothing - excellent spot

We loved the location of this property, and the views from the dining terrace were fabulous. The bedrooms are air conditioned to a lovely temperature, and there were plenty of toiletries provided, and clean towels. We were welcomed to the hotel by a bottle of champagne in the room ,and a birthday cake was also bought when they knew I was celebrating. The spa was a lovely refuge on hot days, after walks into town. It was particularly hot when we were there, and the spa reception was always welcoming.
Mmm…the staff didn’t always feel very welcoming, we sometimes felt like an awkward distraction, especially at breakfast. Once, we asked in the bar area for some milk for our room to make tea, and were sent to reception, who told us to ring room service from our room…I would expect a bit more from a hotel of this standard, and for the price we were paying. Also, the tea bags weren’t regularly replaced, so we found ourselves having to ask for English Breakfast tea bags when we’re at breakfast.

Location and classic ambience. The architecture is beautiful. Nearby beach club was excellent
The pool was not open until 9 am so no early morning swim.
The bathroom shower was hand held but could have been attached.
Prices in the bar and for breakfast are very expensive, though quality was good.
No outside sun deck.

Lovely staff…especially the Concierge
Beautiful building aesthetically with wonderful views over the lake
It was a good stroll to the Town- but it was flat and the exercise was welcome bearing in mind the gastronomy of Annecy!
Loved the “ little touches “ like the sweets at night and free Evian bottles
Common toilets could use some updating
Not the fault of the hotel - but we had a room on the front which was noisy

Imperial Palace is the best hotel I have stayed at my France trip this time. We traveled in France for 19 days, from Paris, to Mount Saint Michel, to Central Lories Chateau area, then to Lyon, Marselle, Annecy, back to Paris. We are more satisfied with Imperial Palace than Paris Hilton Opera, not to mention the other hotels. The lake was beautiful, town was gorgeous, service is friendly, everything left us a beautiful memory. We'll stay in Imperial Palace again, if we will visit Annecy in the future.
