perfect place for a 2-3 day trip to lyon or even more

Perfect place but don't come in the summer because there is no AC

Perfect location and amazing price for what you get. It has a a private parking so it is safe.

We contacted via booking to reserved a parking spot with time. By the time we got there they told us that the parking was full and that I was supposed to CALL to arrange the parking, so the first night we had to find a parking in the streets and we where fortunate that nothing happened. Also there is no air conditioning so if you are planning to stay here don't come during the summer!

It's ok if you have to be in that area and you find a good deal and you are only one or two people.

It's quite modern, clean and size and comfort is ok for one or two people. Good to have parking because it would be near impossible otherwise. Reception was professional and helpful enough. Breakfast was quite small but but decent choice. With not a lot in the immediate area, it's good to have that option.

Even the larger junior suite is too small for 2 adults and 2 kids, need to climb over a bed and would be impossible to cook and eat for 4 people. The immediate area is not very nice, first impression is seeing a bunch of 'homeless tents' with garbage and rats directly outside. A little further towards the river is better but not a good start. It's 40 minutes by tram / metro to the old town so unless you need to be in that area..

The hotel is nice by itself, but the staff was unhelpful and lack of AC in the room is terrible.

The room is new and modern, with a nice balcony and enough space for clothes and stuff. The bathroom is fine, although not perfect with a couple of details being not fully thought-through.

Firstly, while check-in officially begins at 15, when we arrived at 16:00, we were told that the room was not ready and we needed to wait for up to an hour to get there. Later, we tried to do laundry, and there was a sign saying we could buy detergent at the reception. The people at the reception just said they didn't have any and couldn't help us. Showing them the sign accomplished nothing - they showed little interest in solving this. So we had to buy a whole pack of detergent to do one portion of laundry (left it there for people to use of course). And the biggest problem of all - lack of AC in the room was killing me. I clocked around 4 hours of actual sleep along with 4 hours of wide-awake sweating each night. The nights were just horrible and I just don't recommend this hotel if the temperature outside is 30+ degrees Celcius. You're just gonna have a bad time, that's all.

Too hot for a summer visit, likely nice in winter.

Location is handy to trams and large Confluence shopping centre. Staff lovely and there is a pool and parking. Unit is roomy with a mostly separate bedroom and a big bathroom.

The room (south facing) was so hot when we arrived that we had to leave the door open and keep the fan on all the time we were in it, and leave the door into the corridor open whenever we could. Never got it to a comfortable temperature even with full use of shutters all day. We generally like the heat (ex-Sydney). No aircon due to environmental rating, but Odalys needs to try a few things to bring the temperature below 30 degrees. Security doors that let a breeze through, instructions to staff to leave shutters down and covers over decks could all help.

Poor communication from the hotel throughout.

The deposit is not mentioned throughout the booking process, whilst fine it would be appreciated if the staff were more upfront about this. We also had the code to the building changed without out knowledge and we’re stuck outside. There is no one on the desk in the evening so we could not enter. If it wasn’t for another guest coming back we would have been stuck outside all night. The lack of apology or explanation from the staff was unacceptable.

Uncomfortable to be honest

The pool was ok, reception staff were very friendly

No air conditioner in the room made it very uncomfortable to sleep. Partner only slept 3hrs, room also located directly over a railway track, room was shabby overall and bathroom wasn't very clean. Needs painting in the bathroom too as spots of paint were missing from wall.

Walk away from train/bus station. Comfortable bed. Kitchenette with stove top & microwave so we could organise our own food. Grocery store a block away. Staff on hand 24/7 & all very friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed our visit to Lyon and the accommodation was generally good.

The room was clean and comfortable

The two pillows provided for a couple were thin and inadequate. When I asked politely for extra pillows the receptionist had to pass the request to her supervisor who subsequently refused. As a consequence we had to buy two pillows for our use from a local market.

Good quality and location

Pool I didn't use but looked at and the gym. Looked great. Room massive and had mini kitchen and shower was great too. Location half decent near main train station and where the bus station is where my coach from Geneva stopped - under 15 moon walk

Price was not that cheap, however, not unreasonable. Lighting was a bit weak
