Amazing location. Wonderful staff, especially Theo who couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. This young man not only has a wealth of information to share but goes above and beyond to accommodate any request. My son says the people around him either make our breaks better or worse. On this occasion he said Theo "made his day a great one"after the unhelpful employees we encountered at the airport who ruined the start of our holiday. Beautiful internally and very comfortable beds. Also loved the tea selection in our room. Nice quality and a lovely variety of flavours. All in all an excellent central location with a huge number of shops and eateries in the immediate vicinity.

Nothing really. If i was going to be picky I'd say there were a few dusty areas in our room which i do find off putting, especially when it's the shelf under the bedside table. But in general the whole place was clean.

It was a lovely stay but not quite as great as hoped. Staff amazing though.

Great location, parking available (albeit €39.- per night), very friendly staff, ample breakfast buffet.

Our deluxe family suite was unfortunately more like two rooms which were made into a suite by a front door. So it felt more like two rooms, one with a living room and one without. Lots of room but we missed the „suite“-like feeling.

Beautiful hotel as a building, helped by the fact we visited around Christmas and it was beautifully decorated. Very large room despite it not looking like that in the photos. Great breakfast buffet and hotel bar. Great location too

Great hotel with great staff, large room and a comfortable bed Ithink I found my home in Brussels!

The location, cleanliness and staff.

They were working on the elevator, so to access the 4th floor where I was, I had to take the elevator to the third floor and walk up the rest of the way. It’s not an easy task when you’re carrying your bags. It was a minor inconvenience. Other than that the hotel was wonderful.

Average stay, poor breakfast

Rooms were okee. Beds were comfy. Location is very central in Brussels and close to metro line. It was pleasant to have parking in the hotel.

The hotel has a very classical vibe, but not in a good way. There are classical hotels that are also modern, but this one has a vibe like it is stuck in the past. The breakfast was really below standard, especially considering the price of the breakfast. This might have been a high quality breakfast once, in the 1930 maybe, but the standard of hotel breakfast buffets has increased significantly in the last 90 years.

Disappointing

The parking

This should be NOT be rated as a 5-star hotel as soon as you enter there is foul smell, all the fixtures are outdated. I don’t know when was the last time they carpet shampooed the room that I was in. The receptionist even assigned to the very last room in the corner and end of the hall. The interior is dark, we feel like we are in a ghostly placed. The outside of the hotel doesn’t help at all, we were scared to go out at night. The location is very bad. This hotel should be a 3-star. The only thing that was very convenient for us was the parking and to even charged 39 euro’s a night. It’s our first time in Brussels and it disappointed us big time. I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone.

Tired 5 star hotel. I think it was more a 3 or 4 star hotel. Paper cups for coffee in the room, no iron or ironing board. Decoration was fading and paint chips everywhere. Needs a major revamp asap.

OK but unusual in my experience for the only bar to be rented out at the expense of regular paying guests.

Professional stay over in Brussels

Beautiful old-style hotel conveniently situated for my professional commitments on the day following my arrival. The room assigned was very spacious, a small apartment beautifully decorated with furniture in a period style. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast had a good variety. Staff was polite.

Classic Old World experience in a great area of Brussels

Lovely old hotel in a very convenient location. The room was comfortable and spacious. We especially appreciated the secure underground parking.

Getting in and out of the parking area was a little confusing, there were lots of doors to pass through and then it was hard to figure out how to exit once you were in there. The hotel is dated and could use a facelift.

Pricey for what it offers

Location very well placed. Staff very friendly, helpful and communicative. They offered the rooms 3 hours in advance. Beds very comfortable and large.

Unfortunately everything (maybe except the elevator) is very old and should be renovated. The lobby had an very unpleasant smell. I don't know how the receptionists can stay there for the working time. Except breakfast, no other service was available. Repair workings to the ceiling of the lobby were made. The acces from the parking in yhe hotel is very uncomfortable especially if you have a lot of luggage. No direct acces available.
