Friendly staff, amazing location

We really enjoyed our stay everything was great !!!! The location was amazing, next to the city center and the train station.

Only two elevators that were a big small because we had a stroller with us. Especially in breakfast time it took a while for the elevator to come to the fifth floor empty.

Fantastic Room with a perfect location!

The location was absolutely perfect, obviously you pay more for the convenience BUT it was absolutely worth it, in this location you are literal mins away from so many wonderful sights especially while the Christmas markets are on, There are lots of food places on your doorstep and even Brussels Midi for the Eurostar is in a realistic Taxi ride (it cost approx. 15 Euros which was what we expected) Also there is a Taxi rank just outside the hotel door which helped for our return journey.

The Continental breakfast was ok, there was a problem where 1 of the 2 coffee machines were broken so the queue for hot drinks in the morning was long which even for the discounted cost we were offered of £20 per adult per night seemed steep.

Great location, comfy stay and felt very looked after at the hotel

Very convenient location and staff always greeted us with a smile on their face, we were also able to check in earlier which was great and a special thank you to Francesca who assisted us exceptionally with contacting and organising a doctor visit for my mother who was not feeling so well. So impressed with the service and speed and care with which she dealt with us and kept checking in too. Amazing service and great facilities as could order things like toilet paper towels etc via the website

The room could use a fresh coat of paint and new carpets. The walls had scratches and marks on them and there were carpet and upholstery stains. The cleaning staff was great so everything was as clean as can be despite this.

Great location, but way below expected quality standards for a 4* Hotel. Will not recommend

Great location , good first impression

Mouldy bathroom, room was really small for 4 people. Breakfast was really poor quality, close to disgusting. Low quality fruit, bread, eggs and soggy bacon are just some examples. Not worthy of a 4* hotel. Also the staff was not in a mood to go the full mile. The bar was supposed to be open until midnight but at 23:30 an unmotivated staff told us the bar was closed, the barkeeper had gone and the cashier was closed. For breakfast, staff told us no fresh egg dish would be prepared. Then I asked someone else, and then we got some really badly prepared fried eggs.

Perfect for a city break

The hotel is located very close to Grand Place and Gare Centrale. There is also a Carrefour Express nearby and lots of restaurants. Perfect location for a city break. Breakfast is good with decent options.

Incredible stay, including for families with kids!

The hotel is amazing, the facilities are good enough and the location is outstanding. The staff is incredibly kind and nice, we were travelling with our little one (2y old) and I'll definitely recommend Novotel for families with kids. They got our son a small teddy bear that he got attached to it during the whole trip. Also they were super effective and understanding with everything we asked for. Kudos for this amazing team you have build! The location makes everything so easy to do, many restaurants and stores around it and literally so close to the train station.

We loved Grand Place. Two nights is all you need there. Add a third and take a day tour to anywhere. We chose Bruge and

Convenient to everything we wanted to do at the Grand Place and easy to catch a tour to Bruge and other places. Only a block or two away. Go out the door and live music to enjoy at the small park.

It would have been nice to have access to free water in the lounge area like the Novotel in Versailles.

Great location. Very close to central station. Lots of cafes and restaurants just below. Breakfast (extra cost) was amazing.

No temp control in the room so had to open windows during unusually hot evenings which brought in mosquitos. Screens on the windows would help.

Having to request for Tooth Brush and shaving kits. The extra bed provided was a little uncomfortable but it was only used for 1 night so it was not that bad

Could have stay in much better property.

The only aspect was the location of the property and the staff. Apart from that in terms of value for money it did not meet my expectations. High prices probably due to the summer season but if i were to visit Brussels again i would definitely pay a little more to stay in a property with more value for money.

Disappointing due to undertrained obstinate front desk staff.

Location. That a room as available early and we were allowed to use it

What we didn't like was booking and paying for breakfast (for two) at the front desk on our day of arrival for THE FIRST MORNING ONLY but then being told by the reception clerk at 5 AM on our day of departure that WE HAD BOOKED BREAKFAST (FOR TWO) FOR BOTH DAYS. She was VERY INSISTENT that we had not paid yet for any of FOUR breakfasts. We told her we had booked and PAID FOR breakfast for two for ONE DAY ONLY. We had a flight to catch, but we had to go through about FORTY CRUMPLED RECEIPTS to find our PROOF OF PAYMENT. Maybe your staff needs more training on breakfast transaction and customer relations. We also didn't like the unreliable key cards that failed and had to be reset at the front desk.

Breakfast is very good, most of the breakfast staff is nice and friendly.

When we arrived I asked at reception if someone spoke Flemish (most people in Belgium speak Flemish) and it is my mother tongue,they laughed at me and told me they speak French, English and Italian but no Flemish. That was our welcome at the hotel …. . If I had been on my own I would have turned around and looked for another hotel.

A good base for a couple of nights, but i certainly wouldn’t book a week long stay here.

Great location, heaps of food choices right at the doorstep and a stone throw from grand place and a major train station

The property we felt was dated for the price, grout was coming out of the tiles in the bathroom and toilet, cardboard cups provided in the room (no glass), no teaspoons for tea/coffee. For a 4 star hotel, it was underwhelming and not to the standard we were expecting unfortunately. One wasn’t working when we arrived and wasn’t decommissioned so waiting for the right lift took forever. Staff probably could have mentioned this as an fyi on arrival.

Great Location and comfortabe

The location is the best. You just need to get down and all the attractions are 5-10 min walking. The grand place is just 2 min away. Even the Brussles central station is 5 minutes away. We went as a family and we had a double bed and a sofa bed which was very comfortable. The staff are very helpful all the time.
