Aparthotel Adagio Brussels Grand Place

Great location. Well set out, compact apartment. Had its own kitchen which is always great. Comfortable bed and lounge. Bonus was having laundry facilities in the hotel!! Staff were very helpful.

What I enjoyed most is the location. The Aparthotel is located directly at a metro station. Many attractions are in easy walking distance and while the Adagio is on a busy street, our room faced an empty mall at night, so it was very quiet.

We paid around €1,600 for two people for less than a week, so our expectations for the overall experience were quite high. One thing that surprised us was being told there would be a charge for additional towels during our stay. I completely understand the hotel's sustainability efforts and don't expect fresh towels every day, but I didn't expect an extra towel request to incur an additional charge. It wasn't a major issue in itself, but it created a less welcoming first impression than we'd hoped for when we were advised at check-in. Breakfast was fair, but again, at this price point I expected a slightly more premium experience. Guests clear their own dishes, and coffee or tea isn't served at the table. Those details are perfectly reasonable in many hotels, but here they made the overall service feel more limited than expected. Overall, the hotel was pleasant enough, but I didn't feel the experience quite matched the price. At a lower rate, I would have considered it good value. Given the premium pricing, however, I expected a higher level of service and hospitality. For that reason, it probably wouldn't be my first choice for a future stay in Brussels.
