Location and check in/out method is the only pro in this place. Shared area is nice with couple of options for entertainment and work area

During my stay I didn't have hot shower and my heater was broken while it was single digit cold outside (in Celcius). The breakfast is ok not a lot of protein options (only eggs which are pretty ok but you need to ask the people working there to serve you - the egg guardian). If you do decide to pay for their coffee. DON'T their barista sucks. Terrible paid coffee! The rooms were clean enough but the "clean" towels had a funky smell. If you have any trouble they don't have any staff in the reception 24/7 - the front door is also open to public - you don't need to scan any card to get in, only when you get to the lift a card is required, so in case someone wants to steal your stuff while your doing your check in they are more than welcome to! I got refunded one night out of my 3 nights that I stayed here and even after trying to reason with management they told me they were doing "out of courtesy/goodwill" like I was a homeless guy and they let me stay there. I paid to be there! It wasn't no courtesy or favor - this hotel didn't provide what it promised! They also upgraded me from a single bed to double bed. I wished they didn't in hope to have hot water and a working heater... To be honest I had better experiences in the hostels i stayed around other places than this hotel.

I loved the location. I also loved the fact that you do the check in on your own with no Reception ques.

My bed sheet was not clean when I entered the room. I saw it very late at night, when I was going to bed and asked the Reception to change it. They explained that there was no one able to change the bedsheets at that time of the night and that they would do it the morning after. They did not. The next evening, when I went to the Reception again, the answer was again that there is no one there to change the bedsheet so they gave me the bedsheet to change it myself. I was not impressed by this. In addition, the bed (double bed but I am a solo traveler) was not made in the morning anyway (and I did not hang any sign saying I do not wish to be disturbed), which is really strange. Last but not least, my room did not feature a tv. I do not know if their other rooms feature a tv but that was unexpected (I should read the room descriptions better next time). The ladies at the Reception (which I had to visit on the topic of bedsheets even though I really appreciated the fact that we do the check in on our own) were very -very polite and very-very busy. Maybe I was unlucky with my bed sheet change (or the lack of it) and this is a nice hotel?

I enjoyed this stay at Citybox Brussels due to the parking right at the hotel, the location, the easy and smooth check in experience at the check in system, the room was comfortable, heater was working, the shower was great and everything was clean. The price was really great too making it possible to return multiple times in the future for sure. I wish breakfast would be included, even if just a small thing tho.
