Location & look & reception staff

- Pervasive cannabis (caused by personnel?) smell on first floor - even after several minutes of letting the water run, still no hot shower possible in the morning - getting knock on door at 22:45 (after going to bed) for a delivery of water bottles which were requested several hours earlier, hotel staff should never make guests get out of their sleep/bed for such things - swimming pool not accesible due to flooding issues

Gem of a hotel!

Nice hotel but very expensive bedroom could have been bigger

The location wasn’t great taxis had difficulty in getting to the front doors of the hotel. Very poorly lit in Martyrs Square. The bedroom on floor 3 was very small although the bathroom was good. Promised high speed internet but it was very poor.

It was a romantic getaway - and the hotel, it's room and decor definitely enhanced the experience.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. The room exceeded my expectations in terms of decor, size of the bed, pillows...Just everything. I have every intention of returning.

Do not stay here. Utter shambles

Very attractive building.

This hotel was a nightmare from the start. We booked 10 rooms for friends. The hotel never answered emails or my telephone calls… ever! So I came over a day earlier than planned and arranged dinner, parking for 10 cars and twin rooms for some of our guests. Well, come the day a new group of staff knew nothing about yesterday’s agreements. Dinner was appalling. 8 of our group waited 2 hours only to have to send their food back as it was burnt. I asked for a reduction in our dinner bill, the answer was a flat no, the manageress refused to speak to me. Utter shambles. We had to park a long way away… and carry our bags, despite my hours arranging exactly the opposite. I could go on…..

Ada and Vonty at reception were excellent and a credit to the hotel. They gave us a great free upgrade when I asked for a desk in the room in order to allow me to work. They did their best, which was very good indeed, to make sure that our stay at the hotel was great.

We were charged when we asked for extra tea bags (EUR 14), and were not informed that we would be charged.

Gorgeous boutique home base in the city center

Gorgeous boutique hotel with fun interiors, lovely staff, fantastic pool and wellness facility, and great restaurant and bar. Central location, super well connected to everything on foot and by transit. Every service interaction was extremely pleasant, with special mention for the friendly and capable bartender. The bar area is gorgeous and they make fantastic cocktails. (After hours there is an honesty bar in the lobby which also a nice touch.) The room was small but luxurious, with a five star bed, pillow options, and a large bathroom with full bathtub, double sink and good shower. Very comfortable and a welcome refuge after a busy city day or long travels. The pool and spa area is beautiful, and the steam bath was actually properly hot. We enjoyed a healthful swim and sauna each day and it took the visit to the next level. Dinner in the restaurant was very pleasant, with an excellent Caesar salad and wine program, and a beautiful dining room.

It came to our attention that our neighbor was bothered by our television volume, which we regretted. In general the rooms are not very soundproof (understandable for an old building), and it would be good to make guests aware up front to keep noise to a minimum as a courtesy. While we had a great experience at dinner in the restaurant, we couldn’t say the same for the breakfast; the buffet options are nice enough, but for €39pp I expected a bit more in terms of a la carte menu items (eggs Benedict or something) and more beverage options. The nespresso machine in the room was a welcome amenity but for some reason only decaf was available during our stay.

a good 4 star - not 5 star service

Failed to meet expectations. Not 5 star treatment for 5 star prices.The hotel is OK but let down by small things that should not be encountered in 5 star hotel. Room just OK. Communication with staff was difficult. Building site outside, started work very early. No steam in steam room - need to ask for it be enabled at reception prior to use.

Good location, staff are generally friendly, tastefully decorated but…flatters to deceive. Very noisy in the mornings (deliveries making a racket at 05h30) and several other details short of the high expectations. A four star experience, at most, in a five star setting.

Great hotel , great location

the BED was AMAZING!!! the room very nice, although weirdly enough no desk to work on to open a laptop if needed, the bathroom was perfect, the shower 10! , location wise perfect .

breakfast was OK, nothing to write home about, the variety was just the minimum expected of a 5* hotel, the products were of good quality but (too) hard boiled eggs and a somewhat limited buffet left me slightly disappointed, an upgrade to the 36euro breakfast , is a slightly better choice , the room just across the elevator a little noisy .

The wifi did not work for 2 of our 3 days. The magnifying mirror was a bit loose and the floor of the shower was a bit slippery when wet.

Great Hotel, perfect location

Great location, Room was good size with a large bathroom and great shower. Bed was very comfortable with lovely large pillows. Staff were very helpful, kind and even went out of their way to help us finding the hotel when we had trouble locating. Would highly recommend.

Very satisfied with the luxury and comfort of this hotel.

Wonderful bath with excellent products -- large & luxurious. The bed was very comfortable! Quiet room, too. Staff at front desk very helpful and friendly.

There is a huge construction project just out front in the square. We could hear the work they were doing but thankfully only during reasonable work hours and we weren't in the room for the most part while that was going on.

Exceptional

Me and my hubby spent a weekend in this beautiful hotel. We loved it! It is a place of good taste in every detail, reflected in the design of the interior, the nice discreet perfume in all spaces, the welcoming friendly reception personnel, the handwritten welcoming message in the room, the cosy ambiance… I felt really really comfortable. Also the spa was very nice with both dry sauna and hammam.. abd the beautifully crafted pool. Here I’d have something to add , the water was little chill, I would’ve enjoyed warmer water, but after a few swimming rounds, even that was just fine. Also the cocktails, although a bit pricey, they were really tasty. I would definitely recommend this beautiful, all senses pampering hotel, in the heart of Brussels.

Beautiful hotel in a not too attractive location.

Friendly and helpful staff; enjoyable appearance of public areas. Nice bathrooms.. Good breakfast. Very comfortable beds!

Gym is useless as the very limited number of (3) machines are situated in between the pool and sauna; impossible to use for workout also due to the resulting room temp. Regrettably there’s a large construction/ renovation site right next to the hotel and the appearance of the Plaza is currently not appealing!
